  1. give ranger the ability to charm powerful beasts as companions, wahahaha
  2. The worse part of ToB was that the new items and abilitys ruined the orignial balance of BG2. Also the story line was very closed without any exploring elements.I won't play it second time. Of course ToSC had its weakness. The story line was too short and no new companion. But that's easy to be improved. The style of ToSC is much better than a single closed new campaign.
  3. Oh,poor options....Really don't want to vote any of them. Best way of course should be the way of Tales of Sword Coast,an expansion pack which adds onto anywhere of the game, you can go to the expansion pack anytime, not just the end of the game. You can bring the new companions to the original game, and bring the old companions to the expansion pack, and travel between each other anytime.Amazing.
  4. I think the problem for now is...even I slaughter all the villagers outside, the NPCs in the inn,in the houses still are very kind to me.Although the Dyrford Reputation is Terror. They are just too kind to a murderer
  5. I tested it again. When I killed the House Harond Guard beside the bridge, no one cared.I think it's a bug. And When I kill the all the NPCs outside, The NPCs in the houses totally won't care. And when I killed the NPCs in one house, the NPCs in other maps won't care. It's a fun design. But the C&C is obviously too simple.
  6. When I killed villagers no one cared. It's an unfinished part of Beta, right? Just want to make sure.
  7. No,I remember they said it like Tales of Sword Coast, but bigger than that.
  8. Yep,the enemy should be able to use potions and other items. That will make them more alive and realistic. And to sneak in and steal their potions will become a very fun tactics.Alright I forgot there is no thieves in POE
  9. It is unfair to compare PoE with Bg2 fully. Compare it with BG1. PoE2 will be able to be compared to BG2. Yes..But you know...Now we have BG1:EE which have a updated combat system. You don't get the point though. PoE is not meant to compare with- or be better than BG2. Baldur's Gate 2 is a result of a significant experience with the Infinity Engine, it's also built upon what worked in BG and what didn't. PoE has nothing to improve over and some of the time dedicated to its creation went into figuring out Unity. So if anything, one could compare PoE to BG1, as a fresh start with a foreign engine. Hopefully, things can only go better from here. Yes,I understand. But unfortunately POE and BG1:EE even BG2:EE are in the same market. We can't avoid that people will compare them. Anyway, best wish for POE!

  11. Arts,UI, I'm not really care about them.(The only thing I can't accept is the FX of some magics,I.E. Spider Web.) But when POE compare with Baldur's Gate 2,I should say the combat part of Baldur's Gate 2 is much better, profounder than POE. And of course, I think the story telling of POE will win.In BG series, usually we can only choose do or not to do.In POE we can choose various ways about how to do.
  12. Compare this,I prefer Dual Class:)
  13. The new Stuck FX is really strange. Why don't they just copy the Spider Web FX in BG2.
  14. Super disappointed to hear the class is crippled. I loved that you could have a bard-like character that could stand at the front and still be effective. Made for a really interesting melee option. I don't understand what the point is of obsidian stressing build diversity and playing classes anyway you want and then turn around and cripple a class, making it worthless to try and play certain ways. Sawyer is an extremely conservative person, and it has affected the development of the game throughout. PoE was built very restrictively rather than openly, mostly as a way to curtail ways to play the game "wrong". Combat Only abilities to prevent abuse and ease programming, Engagement to prevent movement and player battlefield control, no area transition in combat to prevent you from abusing it even though you could have legitimate reasons to attempt to flee, etc. It's only natural that the approach is to nerf the powerful rather than buff the weak. The chanter really was the sweet spot other classes should aspire to, but it's no surprise it was toned down for that very reason. Totally agreed
  15. To me,a new companion is much better than a new class.
  16. I wish to see some cool sneaking job, which can show the true value of stealth skill.
