  1. Those two characters don't pair especially well. Generally, you want to balance Str/Melee characters with Dex/Ranged characters with Divine characters with Arcane characters to cover your basis. If you are only using one category, you are increasing the challenge for yourself significantly at times! That said, I like the challenge of using them together. The situation you describe is particularly rough and it happens sometimes when you go with a magic-free crew.
  2. As someone who is often challenging himself with different (non-ideal) party compositions, I often find myself with out a healer. For me it's a balance. If I'm running with 3 or fewer characters, I use blessings and allies for exploring less so that I can preserve my deck size. For 5 or 6 characters I explore more aggressively but try to make sure there's enough support (i.e. Blessings) to share when a check matters. In either case, there tends to be a point when the Blessing Deck is down to 15 where I up my exploration amount per turn.
  3. This is a spot we are hoping to clarify in a skill drop down update. For now, look for this button!
  4. Hi there! Our code tries to pick the best check with the cards played, but has been off in it's logic for a little bit. I believe that this is mostly fixed in the latest update, though there are some known issues with Gorum and Calistria giving the correct dice. This will be fixed in the next update. Lini's Shapeshifting power has often interacted strangely with this as well, but should also be addressed in the next update.
  5. Hi there! Sorry you are having trouble. So tapping or swiping the dice is not working? Can one of you provide a screenshot? That might help me to understand where things are breaking down.
  6. Yep! It's just science! The Lead Designer on PACG, Chad Brown, thinks so.
  7. I feel your pain. This scenario is no joke! I've had my share of failures there. It sounds like you have a good team and a solid grasp of the strategy. So I'll try to hit things that I see people miss. Cycle magic armor: All magic armor has a recharge on reset power. This means that when you want to end your turn, you can hit the phase icon that looks like a trash can and move your magic armor to your deck. Super helpful for Seelah, Kyra, and Val. Careful though. Having armor when you hit the villain can save you with a bury. Speaking of Cycling: You have some characters that can move through their decks fairly well if you use character powers aggressively. Meri can recharge less useful cards with Sneak Attack and Val should discard/recharge weapons most of the time. Even if you have a combat well in hand cycling through your deck can be its own reward. Similarly, sometimes it's useful for Ezren to cast spells that aren't entirely helpful just to draw cards from his deck. Seelah hates boons: and that's awesome! Seelah can clear the heck out of locations that have more boons in them. This Scenario is full of banes but some locations have more boons than others. Bonus - Evasion is awesome! I think with that number of characters, this scenario includes the Guard Tower. Throw Meri at it. She has a reasonable Strength for closing, but the great thing is that she doesn't care about your start of turn bandit. Evade him every time with no consequences! Hope that helps!!
  8. The Pathfinder Adventure Card Game page on Paizo's site had an interesting strategy blog you can check out! http://paizo.com/paizo/blog/v5748dyo5lj3k?Get-Ready-to-be-Goblified Cheers!
  9. Thanks for all the feedback everybody. We will continue to tweak and tune the gold economy as we move forward. In general, gold has been easiest to get for players who came into the game early. Our goals are always to make products within the game worth purchasing while giving f2p players an enjoyable experience. It's a tricky balance to maintain, but is something we will always care about.
  10. We have put in an introductory set of achievements, we will likely do a fully featured achievement list for PC release that will benefit all platforms.
  11. We will likely raise that character cap in the future. Right now there are 24 unique characters in Story Mode and 24 in Quest Mode. My hope is to eventually revise the "Save/Load" style screen with a party and character management style screen since the game is a lot more flexible with parties than the UI indicates.
  12. There is a small but tight randomization in our gold rewards for defeating banes.
  13. The other helpful posters have the right of it. I'll admit that expressing optional phases in a way that reflects the way most people play the game was particularly challenging.
  14. Heavyload Belt has some design and code oddities to work out. It's been shelved at the moment so we can prioritize the adventure decks.
  15. Hi everyone! Thanks for all of the feedback. We decided to hold off on this change in the latest patch to make sure we included some of your suggestions when making the change. When this change is made, it will also include the ability to add a number of chests to your purchase with gold to make it easier to bulk buy. We are also adding this feature to the Salvage action in the Gallery so that you can salvage multiple cards at a time.
  16. Yes indeed. There was a post-scenario salvage that was mostly not visible to players that granted salvage gold for cards not kept. With the inclusion of daily challenges and more things to come, we felt it was time to remove this extra semi-visible gold infusion. We apologize for not mentioning this in the patch notes.
  17. I was just talking about this feature with our producer today. We need to figure out where in the schedule it will go, but Yes! Quantities for Salvage and Chests! Let's do it! I also would like to put a direct link to the gallery from the Treasure Chest screen.
  18. All of the Rare, Epic and Legendary cards that you find in Treasure Chests are unique to the digital version. I develop the cards with review and assistance from the original card game designers at Lone Shark Games and at Paizo. So far Favors allow you to stack blessings on a check, Bounties are all about Boons, and Doctrines focus on specific sets of skills. There are some new blessing sets on the way that are all about taking advantage of your placement on the map. For Example, you will start to see "Unity" blessings that give a big boost to specific checks when played on another character at your location.
  19. I also would like a party randomization button. I'm looking into it. Interface-wise, it would be easiest if the party size was also randomized. Would that work for y'all?
  20. I like where your head is at! For now, the end game will be whatever deck we happen to be at. So plans only extend to Deck 6 at the moment. I would like to tease that there are going to be a number of exciting updates to Quest Mode in the next few updates so stay tuned!
  21. We should have a tutorial message in the next update. Thanks!
  22. We recently changed the timing of the introductory free chest to be granted later than it was initially. Looks like you may have benefited from this change!
  23. Just as a note, I am keeping an eye on this thread. We have some cool stuff planned with challenges, both Daily and beyond. What you are seeing now in game is just the beginning.
  24. Yep, treasure cards are all about populating your game with a wider variety of goodies to find. I highly recommend salvaging treasure cards you aren't interested in or have too many of.
  25. Yes, new treasure cards must be unlocked by opening treasure chests. Once unlocked, they'll be available for any of your party's to discover while adventuring.
