Okay, so I just realized that wasn't Abel. That was Kevin. Though, Abel appears later. I definitely like the compromised art style of the characters. It's a compromise between the cartoony, yet recognizeable, Episode I designs, and the too realistic to look like what we're used to Episode II designs.

How odd. I heard that Fahrenheit was supposedly renamed Indigo Prophecy to avoid being confused with the Michael Moore documentary. What does "Angel of Death" suggest that makes it unsuitable for a game title? Maybe the death reference. They might have been afraid it would seem actiony.

Because the only scale that matters is size related, right? The explosion is only about 20 meters across. That's really nothing compared to the size of the galaxy.

so does the plot tie into Xenogears (finially) You kind of have to look at it as a different continuity. The ship you are on and see destroyed in Xenosaga I is the ship Deus takes control over and is self-destructed in the opening of Xenogears, the Woglinde. And that's just one example of where the two series diverge. Abel isn't exactly the same Abel we all know from what I've read. Though it does start to really follow the Xenogears backstory that was laid out in Perfect Works.

I'm sure it's not, but GL did a poor job in showing us that transition so that when we saw it on screen, it appeared as though he was simply just giving himself completely to the dark side and then going off and killing people without a second thought about it. He just stared killing younglings and dropped on his knees and praised Palpatine out of fear and cowardice. I believe you, but I just didn't see the major transition from good to evil. It just happened so fast on screen. It was probably Hayden's fault, just as much. After the slaughter of the Tuskens he should have come off as more angry and less whiney. Though, George is either responsible for that or responsible for not correcting it.

Xenosaga III In the opening cinematic you GET TO SEE ABEL! For those not in the know of the background of Xenogears/Xenosaga

I'm an ass sometimes, I know. I know what you meant, I just have a bit of a peeve when people start throwing around buzz words that really serve no purpose.

WTF? Part 4 came out? I need to find it, I loved Sleeping Dragon (3). Even Amazon doesn't list Angel of Death... The official website doesn't even have a US region, I guess it was never released here. Much plotting to do.

I didn't mean to imply that it was a bad game. I just don't understand why the mass media seems to hold it in such high regard. I've never heard anything about the mass media holding it in overly high regard. However, it is a popular game and lots of players want to know about it. Coverage is just giving the audience what they want.

Except he's already killed children. And the perception that he regretted it, he didn't sound too much like he did. He was crying, sure, but that was more over his mother and not the children. "They're animals and I slaughtered them like animals" is not evidence of regret. It's evidence that he's dehumanizing his victims. He's a bad actor so it doesn't come across as well as it should. Let's look at it: He's already slaughtered women and children. He's already started slaughtering Jedi by the time he reaches the children. So, we see an immediate foot-in-the-door phenomenon paired with his previous slaughter. We also see him surrounded by Stormtroopers, who can serve to provide the presence of a close authority figure that we see from Milgram's obedience experiments. It's not a giant leap at all for him to slaughter children. Especially considering he's done it already by that point.

He'd already killed Tuskan children, so it wasn't all that big a step for him.
