Layoff hits Obsidian?
Good luck, Mustang.

Portal 2
Finding out how to break all the monitors is an interesting puzzle in its own right. Too bad it takes you until the final third to start doing them. I missed two or more last run through.

Rift
I will! Maybe. One day. If I ever buy the game. Perhaps.

No Warlocks? For shame on the lot of you.

The Witcher 2
Video and computer games are still largely considered the province of children. So nudity does get taken note of more than in movies. Unless its an animated movie, then you see a similar response. I like to think the preconception is going away, but I'm not in a good position to get objective data on that.

Did I ever tell you about how I beat Silver Surfer for the NES? I'll be signing autographs all week.

Excitebike was the one with the level editor, right?

Layoff hits Obsidian?
Is Tess Mustang? I'm usually better with handles than actual names.

Dragon Age 2
This makes no sense. Yes, this DLC is lame. But it's the easiest to produce, so naturally would be first. And it doesn't take away from scenario, creature, or dungeon design because those are generally going to be developed by completely different people. An argument could be made for thinking this would be better off rolled into one of those content DLCs. I'd be all supportive of that post.

Deus Ex 3
You can turn on subtitles and then read his lines really loud.

Dragon Age 2
"more details" Background fluff. No details on what the items are. Faboo.

Japan's less an ally than the Catholic church. That idea scares me.

What you did today
Server is down at the office, so I'm slacking more than usual. It's let me reflect upon an idea for a story I started conceptualizing last night.

What are you playing now?
Finished Runaway 1, on to Runaway 2. It violates a few of Ron Gilbert's laws, but it still manages to be enjoyable.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Heartland Payment Systems is about 130 million records. I knew I totally shouldn't have made a blanket statement like that without looking into it. OK, it's the biggest data break THAT AFFECTS ME! You're not a US Veteran, are you?

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Yeah, they're doing an ok job with it now. But it's not like hackers stealing 77 million user names, passwords, addresses and credit card numbers(possibly) is an everyday occurrence. It's surprisingly common. I've seen three personal information breaches of institutions I used, counting this one, in the past 5 years. One of which was a bank. And another name/password breach occurred within very recent memory with the entire Gawker Media network.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Yes, it's their responsibility. And they made the efforts to uphold that responsibility and are continuing to do so. If you have some evidence that the breach was some vulnerability they should have reasonably know of, I'd be curious.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
They should have mentioned the compromise earlier, but I wouldn't say they screwed up to get hacked. It happens to everybody. I've dealt with it with my loan provider and my school before. They're actually taking responsible steps (aside from the late reveal).
