You’re doing a good job of selling this berserker/devoted combo. As a rule, I don’t like playing berserkers. But now I kinda of want to try this combo out! comparing the two vids the Brute kills the mobs faster but the Brawler was just more "fun" jumping around so much. I will try to rework the brute to include leap and charge to see if i can get some more mobility into it.

Here's a quick vid of a fight using a Brute (in the same area as the Brawler vid in my earlier post) https://youtu.be/T9PFj8Ql04Q Even though it did way better dps, it's just not as fun as the Brawler IMO. Although it did point out that there's no need to take the shout & spirit tornado (Terrified > shaken and both are resolve afflictions)

Another time you can use full paladins would be 3 kind wayfarers in a group: with white flames and divine immolation they heal each other and burn everything all at once. (3 because of the amount of healing from each and all three advanced auras) Tested this and it works: 3 Kind wayfarers + 1 Troub = 3 Divine Immolations + 3 white flames + 50% heal amount chant + the damage shield chant = paladins killing everything not immune to fire and staying at 100% hps after each tick of healing. Could use the endless zeal combo for boss fights.

-Very much so. -The reason why it's not so common though is that Barbs crit, a lot, and that matches with other classes' (and equipment) "on crit" effects so well that a lot of people don't pass up the multi-class option. -Barbaric Retaliation is not usually good on a tanky (high deflection, lots of crit->hit) character though since you only retaliate when crits are made on you. (so it's typically used on low resolve, high HP, and regen heavy builds (or "Barring death's door").

I think I posted it right as BOW released and it went to page 2 almost instantly.

I also keep him single class normally, if I use him. There's just too much utility and dps with a wizard.

My constructive feedback would be a formatting change from tiers to use info: Armor: Pro: Con: Typical Uses: Known Synergies: Example: Armor: Effigy's Husk (Robe) Pros: 0 recovery, possible to enchant immunity to Perception, or Might, afflictions; starts at superb (saving adra ban) +3 slash armor Cons: Lower AR due to robe, looks terrible (unless you are going for a necronomicon look) Typical uses: non-streetfighter Blunderbuss builds Known synergy: Eder dual blunderbuss + perception immune + blunderbuss modal Then your feedback would flood in with people adding to the typical use and synergies, instead of being "why did you rank x at y, that's my fav, you noob!"

The Iron Hammer does a better job of locking down masses of mobs for my AOE'r to kill than anything else I've tried. He is not the build who will live the longest under sustained assault or soak the most hits from a boss, and that's OK. I think it's pretty cool how there isn't a one class combo to rule them all. If the term "tank" to you means it's the guy who can take the most punishment and not die then you are probably looking for a Herald. If the term "Tank" means distract the mobs and hold aggro long enough for my dps to wipe the floor then the Swashbuckler is the way to go IMO. I do concur that with the current difficulty level you don't really need a tank though. You can just out dps every encounter as long as you know it.

There are mods that allow that. If you make them 15 right on the prologue though you can go straight to the digsite, grab the papers and complete the quest in 10 minutes get the ship go to Nek and upgrade (console yourself money) so you can go be a pirate and get a feel for the fights. Another option is to take a saved game you have already and build each of these as a custom companion, console them up, and test them out (even though the stats won't be the same you can still get a feel for how they play and it will help you make your choice.

Any of the 4 can be built to do what you want. The best advice I could give would be: make them all, console them up to 15ish, console them the gear you want, and go mess around with ship fights to get a feel for how each works. Once you find the one you like the most start a real game with that class, knowing what gear you want to go get.
