  1. Yeah, Underrail is great. But god is it frustrating sometimes. (How are these invisible scorpion like creatures called again?) With the risk of completely derailing the topic of this thread, they're called Death Stalkers and Death Crawlers and I call them Scorpion Spiders. When you kill your first one, you're officially initiated into the game. I love them, by the way! PS:*random banter concerning the thread so as to appease the Moderator God.*
  2. To be fair to Obsidian, it's also why I hate Survival mode in Fallout 4. Bethesda has a lot of resources, but they are also aren't immune to crash bugs, and survival mode in FO4 literally has no autosave outside of setting up camp. After losing a 3 hour play session to a crash (while I was on the way to a bed to sleep in to save) I ended up modding/hacking the game to turn on autosave without disabling achievements. Game companies just should not develop any features/mode that relies on the assumption that their game is crash proof. Was just gonna say that you should look up some mods for that. I played a heavily modded version of Fallout 4 after abandoning it shortly after release for years and years, and I remember that there was something addressing stability in the game. Forgotten what exactly it was, though. I know I had to forego all visual mods and only stick to the 4k textures. Still... couldn't mod the story and writing. xD
  3. It's an apt description. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Even if Deadfire were fully 2d and without an ounce of voice acting, I'd still play it x). That's where I'm ultimately coming from. And for all those who would rather have their Dead Choredemtion eye cake with collection of bores to choose from... they don't know what they're missing.
  4. I can always happily recommend Underrail to everybody in here... should you want to wait for either Deadfire or Pathfinder to become better.
  5. ^ Oh, I know that... I know that one very well xD. Still sad to see something like that still around, though.
  6. ^ I haven't even touched Pathfinder. I will wait for **** ton of patches before even considering opening up that game x). I really don't know anything about it, and I'd rather keep it that way. Maybe next year's January I will buy it...
  7. Well... about that. Theoretically(I don't expect any of it to be implemented, I am not that naïve), most, if not all of what's been discussed in this regard can be done by recycling old assets. Yeah, it will add more complex code, which can produce inconsistencies with what already is on the table(which has shown itself to be the case with most new things added to the game). But it's not like it's new animations or voice acting... Correct me if I'm wrong on that, but isn't that easier to do?
  8. My shrug right now sent a seismic wave to my neighbour upstairs. Lack of attention to detail looks like.
  9. On the very worst, what you can do is have a Cleric and a Cypher in the party and just infinitely extend Barring's Death's Door. If you're willing to consider it, you could make a custom scroll-using Helwalker and equip Deltro's Cage Helm. Then use Barring Death's Door on top of that and blast away with Maelstroms, while keeping the rest of the party away.
  10. One way of making that is to have mechanics that seek to punish low Con characters on a situational basis. You will need more variety for that than what we have at the moment. Giving wounds in combat and exhaustive combat stamina are actually two very good suggestions so far. You could also consider making a very high Con character downgrade some afflictions, too.
  11. I've seen recent PoE 2 crashes... that's quite lame considering there is a Trial of Iron in the game.
  12. Yeah... I like this game a lot.
  13. Perception woudln't matter, but ring of Focused Flames, Nature's Resolve and Devotion of the Faithful would. Haven't quite checked, but I think Ranger bonuses add up as well. In which case, you can get an explosive up to 130-140 Accuracy. Maybe beyond.
  14. I like using explosives in my current playthrough. The balancing of the game is wonky enough, so I am not going to say more about them. https://youtu.be/DfpHT9pKoXQ
  15. Deadfire is quite unoptimized. It uses stuff it shouldn't use like first person lightning effects and such.
  16. BTW, if they do escape a number of times, they will run out of repairs. It happened to me once in an earlier playthrough. I was having some trouble with Diccila and kept a lot of distance.
  17. Oh, they do. They dispatching crew members just as I would do. I don't know how you come to the conclusion, they can't. Never seen them do that, bud. If it's any help, just level your cannoneers to rank 4 by sinking a few merchant ships and visiting stuff around the map. That should make you apply statuses much more often.
  18. It would have been easy otherwise. On the other hand you can repair your own ship during combat, while the enemy never can. How fair is that?
  19. Concelhaut ended up being rather fun. This should have been the balance of the game to begin with x). A bit of a long fight here.
  20. i think this would add way too much variance to the game to be a good change. Essentially, con would give you stat that is "% chance not to die." That is a wild swing in outcomes from battle to battle. (And there's a reason why not every AD&D mechanic was implemented in BG/BG2. AD&D--even though it's a system I'm sure many of us are nostalgically fond of--is really just a terribly designed game system. I mean, for crying out loud, if you were playing it correctly, you didn't even get to pick what class you got, it was essentially picked for you by the stats you rolled, which is why all those "minimum" stats things were a thing--however mostly meaningless--in BG/BG2.) Anyway, I'm on the train that if there's any change to con, increasing healing received effectiveness is a good one to have. We already have some stat overlap (intellect influencing durations, resolve also affecting durations), so it's not unprecedented. Are you playing in party of five? Because as it is, I think there is a little too little variance in the game . Purely speculatively, if expanded upon, such a system could perhaps have ways of dealing with wounds, as well? In such a case I'd wish wounds could also mean something more serious, as well cost more resources to inflict to actually be meaningful.
  21. How about increasing the chance you will get wounds during combat without getting knocked down? As a wonky and skinny mage, you may break a rib more easily just by getting hit on the side of the chest. Perhaps we could further expand by having abilities that do wounds during combat without knocking down characters? More variety when you think about how to do debuffs. In order to apply a wound, though, you should have some form of Might present in relation to the opponent's Constitution. Rogues, for instance, and maybe Barbarians, could have added bonuses to these abilities, and if you want to break the rib of a dragon, you'd have to do a lot of work before that in order to cripple them. Also, I am keen on the idea of Con increasing healing received, but instead of having spells that do only percentage based healing, why not have them do percentage based and numbers, as well? That way a high Con character always stays relevant as a healing target as pretty much any healing will chunk him up better than it would a wonky char. In the same time that would also add more value of investing into a dedicated healer, as they will be able to increase the raw numbers of heals and thus keep even low Con target alive.
  22. Is Deflection the only stat through which it can reduce your buffs? Because if so, there are number of ways to deal with that.
  23. Maybe he has something akin to the Ranger's Concussive Tranquilizer? Sounds like it.
