Solo dragon at level 14 on POTD all scaling up
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to nemesis205bw's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)I think this one is the equivelant of the Sky Dragon in the first one. (the easiest dragon in the game) But not gonna say that it's bad... to be honest, I didn't even watch the video, sorry ... I just let all the dragons go, because I don't like the idea of dragons being so easily killed in any fantasy game. A lizard of such size should easily step on your pwn warrior and kind of just take his breath out.

Pictures of your Games 11 - The Quickening
My shoddy picture is here... I was trying to break the Faceless Blockade by myself... didn't work :D.

Man, I really don't like dumping Resolve...
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to Cyrus_Blackfeather's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)A very tanky character can help themselves to some Resolve, sure. In my opinion a potent tank is fun in the sense that is reduces the micromanagement you have to do in most combat cases. You just send him/her alone and then poke them with what's left.

The core of the problem: you are a pirate
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to Matteo89.b's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Just don't overdo it, dude :D. Ultimately, if you feel it's too piratty, you can always drop it.

The core of the problem: you are a pirate
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to Matteo89.b's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Boarding a ship while the deliberately off-tuned 'The Farmer and The Fox' is playing in the back-ground is better in my book than clicking lines of text . Still, I don't go out of my way to do naval combat. But to each their own... btw, this thread still going on?

Reworked resting system
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to nemesis205bw's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I think what is needed is another OPTIONAL difficulty setting where limited resting, dehydration and hunger are a thing. And if you don't treat them wounds quickly, it gets worse. Also, some injuries should leave the character in a state of recovery, such as a wrenched shoulder, which, even if treated and taken care of, will quickly bring complications again if somebody goes on swinging a sword. Just two cents.

The core of the problem: you are a pirate
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to Matteo89.b's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)You getting obsessed over it? And don't worry, I am not too serious. When in Rome, act like the Romans. Being in the Deadfire--maybe some good ol' plundering from time to time be nice, no?

The core of the problem: you are a pirate
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to Matteo89.b's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Don't worry. I don't want you proving anything to me :D. In fact, I think I missed a smiley face in my reply to imply I was joking/trying to pull your leg... But if you're looking to replay the whole thing looking for non-'Aargh' options--they're there.

A question about Pallegina in Deadfire (spoilers)
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to lmao_zedong's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Pallegina is established as a nationalistic zealot. In Deadfire that quality is possibly more accentuated than anything else in her character. After all, when you first meet her in Deadfire she is kind of detached from the Watcher, despite their previous ordeals. Also, bear in mind that in PoE she doesn't broker the deal for the Republics because she is afraid that could spell future conflict for her nation.

What are you playing right now?
The details evade me... was a long time ago, man. Could have been one alien runs around, then all my guys reveal themselves from overwatch position, then another one blasts them from like, the other end of the map. What I remember was that I was doing my best according to the currently available tools the game has provided me with at that stage. Either way, I just don't think that X-Com actually gives you enough variation to properly tackle down what you're facing. Personally, I find the 'tactical' element in this game to be rather constrictive and a bit bare bones. Just not my cup of tea, I guess.

What are you playing right now?
Tried playing X-Com some time ago. One hour into the game all my guys are taking hard cover. One alien appears in distance. Three of my guys shoot and miss. Alien shoots back and crit kills one of mine. Another goes into panic mode and shoots another one of mine. Me--uninstall game. I really don't know what people find in it.

Siding with the Huana... ouch
Hulk'O'Saurus replied to M4xw0lf's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Good stuff. I rememeber when I played Wasteland two, out of party of six, two of mine got hacked and fought against me in the last boss battle :D. Other than that, why not just recruit hirelings from the pub?
