  1. Cool. Let me know how it works out. I'd like to try this out on a hireling in a future run. Edit: Just realized you're using The Dragon Thrashed, which is a direct damage fire/slash chant. You'd want to use this one for minion lashes: https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Aefyllath+Ues+Mith+Fyr.
  2. Sure thing. Cipher's been my main since PoE:1 but I'm not as experienced with Chanters. If you go with ranged weapons, you could always pick that chant that lowers recovery/reload. Offense chants like the party-wide fire lash work well with Beckoner since their summons have short durations. On the Cipher side, you could always stack Body Attunement with Recall Agony (an underrated Power) and watch your minions pick away at a large target.
  3. Mirke romance (being serious this time). The return of the Helwax Mold.
  4. I would take out Tumbling or Keen Mind like Verde suggested if you're going for a full party on Veteran. You probably won't notice those effects too often: your CC and party support abilities should get you through every encounter just fine; and with Fire in The Hole and Hand Mortar/Kitchen Stove you won't be starved for Focus. Definitely keep Hammering Thoughts since you don't have any martial abilities. I don't play with Charm/Dominate much, but with a party and summons, adding Ringleader to the mix might be detrimental and screw up pathfinding (the dominated enemies might push your frontliners around, for example). In some cases it'll probably be overkill (solo might be a different matter). Since you aren't coupling Cipher with a martial class, I'd go with Borrowed Instinct for that sweet accuracy bonus.
  5. A new enchanting UI was listed on their 2018 roadmap. Completely agreed on wild orlan and aumaua customization options.
  6. A good list overall. I'd like to see cosmetic slots since clothing can't be enchanted - oh, and that Mad Morena romance DLC everyone subconsciously wants.
  7. Like gkathellar said, Moon Godlike's heal won't add a whole lot. I like the style of this build overall, though I'd strongly suggest you include Secret Horrors since it's bread and butter for Beguiler. You can open with it from Stealth for reduced recovery and a bit of Focus gain, and since it adds so many effects (-5 RES, -5 CON, disables hostile abilities, reduces incoming healing), it increases both your offense and defense: all in .05 base seconds right out of the gate. I'd also stick to blunderbusses and/or pistols since being in melee negates Beguiler's range bonus (albeit small) to Deception Powers.
  8. Some RP I've messed with: Devoted(Sword)/Trickster for a magical duelist similar to Mesmer from Guild Wars - or Rogue/Wizard for Phantoms. Corpse-Eater(or Berserker)/Shifter for a ravenous (or mindless) beast. Wizard/Rogue with Kalakoth's Minor Blights: I like to think of the attack abilities (in glorious AoE) as hexes. Sharpshooter(or Ghost Heart)/Wizard: Your arcane archer (minus the blackbow, sadly). Plenty of Wizardly tricks to complement a hunter or explorer like marking enemies with Expose Vulnerabilities or traversing the battlefield with Fleet Feet/DAoM. Cipher (or Ascendant)/Ghost Heart: My favorite build in Pillars 2 both in ascetics and functionality. I like to pretend the Seer is channeling his own soul energy to summon his companion from The Beyond, and I often cast Ectopsychic Echo on the pet to visualize a link.
  9. She's a Wizard...not sure if she has a subclass.
  10. For each kill (including destructible objects and piddly summons) made with the weapon you gain 1% outgoing and received damage, which stacks up to 20 % and ends on resting.
  11. Yeah, a modal would be an ideal solution. Missing on out of range is one of the bigger sins in this game.
  12. It's weird how they didn't just spawn it on the Deck of Many Things, but so it goes. You can always spawn it using Unity Console and remove the cost from your gold stash.
  13. Gear: Modwyr, Devil of Caroc Breastplate Abilities: Infuse with Vital Essence (Warlock) (maybe Tactical Barrage (Brute)) Food: Luminous Lobster
  14. I dig single class Priest and Priest of Berath/Wizard but wish Cleric could come close to your outstanding melee Berath build in PoE:1. Wizard outshines multiclassing Priest with martials in every way I can think of.
  15. I agree that Priest is bad in many ways but I'm confused when you say not to single class it or multiclass it with another caster. I'm assuming you multiclass it with Paladin (Priest of Wael tank?) or Chanter?
  16. Sadly this appears to be hardcoded and can't be changed as far as I know. Dang. Thanks for looking into it all the same.
  17. Looks good. I'm definitely going to use this on my next playthrough. Would you be able to renable Shattered Pillar's Wound generation from attack abilities? Also, mods to Holy Radiance (upgrade paths like Aggrandizing Radiance from Pillars 1; bonus based on Priest deity) would help Priests a good deal, imo.
  18. So long as the island is guarded by fearsome packs of adra ban-infused bloatbelly eels.
  19. I'd go Stalker for less micro and defensive synergy. Also, the Robust Lay on Hands upgrade is leagues better than Heal Pet.
  20. This sounds intriguing and I've wanted a good Xoti replacement. Care to share more details? There is a good "solo" thaumaturge build here in the forum builds list from araj. I suggest using it as a blueprint and modify it slightly for party play, like taking circle of protection and maybe despondent blows instead of llengrath safe wards. Basically, it is a midline support. You use Ninigath's grimoire ideally, take all the cool and useful priest party buff spells like level 1 aoe heal, withdraw, salvation of time, circle of pretection and the fire damage spells. Skip devotions for barring death door+shining beacon imo. In wizard you take defensive boosting spells at low level but maybe also combusting wound+expose vulnerabilities, definitely scion of flame and maybe secret of rime. At mid level (5+) wizard you take terrify spell and at high level pillar of flame and holy storm from a priest. In the end you basically get a more tradition backline/midline priest who uses utility spells to buff part and debuff enemies and do damage through cold+fire spells. Ideal weapons are Sun+moon and the soulbound dagger (or Xoti's sickle with speed buff). It's not a monster damage dealer until storm of holy fire but it has a nice toolkit of buffs and debuffs which are different in their nature from cipher or chanter buffs/debuffs. Basically also you make wizard/priest if you want a dedicated buffer/debuffer of that type in your party - one that does not need other resources to buff/debuff like chanter or cipher and can unload all the spells instantly without attacking. Nice. Thinking of going Priest of Rymrgand(modded)/Generalist Wizard for a new hireling. Thanks. It's not that special minus the high level spells. Considering its unique spells are mostly Wizard spells the combo above might be a bit redundant. Maybe Priest of Berath, then. I like the idea of a character that has access to Priest, Wizard, and Druid spells.
