I feel a bit guilty now about that comment. But in seriousness... Persona 5 is an awesome jrpg. Probably my favourite game of the past 5 years. The 'tales of' games sound similar to your criteria, I haven't played any since symphonia though. Persona 5 is only on ps4 and switch I think?

I think there is something in that. Not the main reason but probably had some contribution. It took me years to get through the first game. Back when I played bg1 and 2 I had time to play games 4 or 5 hours a day.. now I'm lucky to get 45 mins in am evening.

Stronghold has a really nice soundtrack. Fun game as well.

Can't you get some inspiration from the backgrounds available in the game? I'm pretty sure you choose background/former profession or something for your character. In the first game you have a conversation with someone which allows you to develop it further if I remember. I quite liked that in the intro to the first game.

I think if it went single player character I'd prefer something more like Neverwinter Nights rather than an action RPG.

The floating text font in combat is rubbish in Deadfire. I wish they'd improve that. Also there's way too much effects going on in combat sometimes, tone down the amount of graphics in certain spells and buffs and what not.

I think i'd rather they went for something more along the lines of KOTOR than Final Fantasy 15, not sure where that comparison came from!

So to summarise, you think that it should be exactly the same as every other fantasy game?

Calling it BG3 has turned me off it completely. I'm up for another game in the Forgotten Realms, surely they could have just called it something else? DND is popular they don't have to make it a sequel toa beloved game series from decades ago.

She's a right piss head. I don't really like the term 'sidekick'. Does it really describe what they are properly? Considering the amount of people asking what they are. How about 'Acquaintance'?

They are real aren't they? They talk to the character on Skype chat throughout the game. Berath brings you back to life. Pretty sure that they exist.

Demon's Souls is the best of the Souls games. But I suppose if someone thinks DS2 is the best that would be more unpopular. Most Mario games are pretty bland and uninteresting. WOTLK is the best WoW expansion. Grand Theft Auto is a boring series.

Isn't it in the inventory screen? Near your character model? IIRC. You can change 2 colours of the clothing/armour.

Mobile card games are probably the future of Obsidian.

It's a bit late now but yeah... whoever pushed for this to be in the game made a massive blunder.
