  1. Eaten the remains of last nights fish and chips for breakfast... i feel ill
  2. I'm definitely not as enthusiastic as you but i'm cautiously optimistic. I have dreamed of a Firefly like game for many years, however am disappointed it is in first person only. I don't think I will look at anything more about the game until it's released now as I don't want any spoilers.
  3. Do you have to live so relentlessly in the real world?!
  4. Unfortunately, there is no way to download and update the game without installing the Epic Store on your machine. In addition, from what I read it is up to piblisher/developer if the game is DRM free or not. However, the games I played so far (and in future Phoenix Point) does not require Epic Store to run. You do need Epic Store to download, instal and update the game, but you don't need to run games through it and if you uninstal the Epic Store those games will still stay installed on your PC. For a major release like Metro: Exodus or Outer Worlds it probably won't be the case as publishers love DRM (don't own Metro:E so can't confirm or deny it, but it is supposed to have denuovo). That's interesting, it's starting to sound better already. Most of the complaints seem like flat out lies or just misunderstandings. Or because they have already dedicated themselves to Steam, and have become a fanboy like the console days of yonder.
  5. Here's a funny linguistic tidbit for you: the English language lacks the concepts of both Schadenfreude (German) and joie de vivre (French). There's something hilarious about that, in my view. (And of course all languages lack some concepts that other languages have, which is a very good reason for studying as many languages as you can. This is just a particularly nice combination.) Sadism?
  6. Why dont we stop blaming the world for our problems and take some responsibility?
  7. Something new hopefully. Do we really need never ending sequels? Also, people talking about a sequel to The Outer Worlds before the game is even out!? Come on get a grip.
  8. Nor is it a bribe to sign an exclusivity deal, though I am pretty sure I used that one before myself. People just like being overdramatic and take the high moral ground. HashtagFirstWorldProblems Well yeah, I mean I probably won't even bother downloading this Epic bollocks but it's becoming incredibly tedious seeing the same old sh*te over and over. It's just boring! BOOOOOOOORIINNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
  9. It is not blackmail. You don't need to purchase this game. It merely exists for entertainment and has no bearing on anything important.
  10. Does it really matter? I bet some of you have been up all weekend being angry at the world. Go for a walk or something.
  11. The anonymity of the internet means that this kind of behaviour will continue indefinitely.
  12. The first Bloodlines game was kind of garbage. Not sure why it's so fondly remembered. Maybe they'll get it right this time.
  13. I was shocked to notice Cuphead coming out on the Switch.
  14. Meaning people not wanting to buy on Epic? I am using it, it works. I just like keeping my library in one place. I might be more willing to buy games from Epic once it stops feeling so basic. If I get a new PC by the time OW drops I will likely buy it, but as it is now, I might just wait. The stupid things some people are saying. Announcing they are going to pirate a game, acting like babies throwing the toys out of the pram.
  15. It's definately not a split of revenue, when Private Division is funding the project. It would be very unlikely to be a revenue split until such time as PD's initial investment is recouped at least, after that some sort of revenue split (or bonus) is more likely. There's still as much evidence of that as there is of Huawei spying- ie none. Frankly I'm starting to suspect there's more than a whiff of Yellow Peril racism in both accusations, since both accusations are made sans any evidence. in the Huawei case the problem is far more likely to be a lack of NSA spying built in rather than CCP spying being present. Seems about as much nonsense as the whole anti MSG bollocks.
  16. I didn't realise there were so many imbeciles on this forum.
  17. What is wrong with you people????? Its a frigging game. Why are you getting so angry? If their previous games are anything to go by it wont even be finished until a year after release anyway!
  18. Eurgghhh walls of text HOYYYY!
  19. Steam is a complete mess right now, let's face it. There's never ending garbage to sift through. This should give them a kick up the arse.
  20. Happened with the Premier League/Champions league with Sky Sports and BT Sports. People complained for a while then it was just accepted that we pay twice to get what we used to pay for once.
  21. Coming from Germany and being well educated when it comes to our history I have to say that this statement is a) false, b) inappropriate and c) pointless. I could invent a similarly nonsensical comparison (including false claims) with people who voted for Brexit and gamers who don't like this exclusive Epic store deal. Buahaha! Sorry I got carried away, it's just a line from Fawlty Towers that Basil says when people are complaining about his poor service.
  22. Crowdfunding it definitely NOT the future. I think people are getting really burned out on it. I think it makes sense for small artistic projects, but not as a business model.
