  1. You didnt have to save your spells you could just rest and get more well for obvious immersion breaking reasons I wouldn't want my party taking naps all the time
  2. I prefer per encounter casting. I hated having to save my spells in original POE just because I didn’t want to rest every 10’ (felt really immersion breaking to me). In the end I ended up almost never using my best spells since I wouldn’t know which fight would be the most difficult one. On the other hand a system that lets you use spells/abilities per encounter needs to be more balanced between spell levels and resource usage otherwise it risks lower level abilities becoming totally obsolete.
  3. which is strange since the pet was pretty neat in the first game
  4. it somewhat bothers me that some class features are so obviously below par. I mean anyone in Obsiidian that has played ranger can see that something's wrong with the pet
  5. as per the title... right now there's no incentive to use 2 handed vs shield and weapon or 2 weapon fighting. would be great f the devs can buff em up a bit in future patches
  6. some more love to single class progression maybe (especially Priest)?
  7. I simply don't want any abilities/spells that make all others irrelevant when I play the game. especially now that casts are per encounter. Imagine in the first POE if you could cast crowns of the faithful in every encounter. Nothing else would be needed. Seriously who came up with the +25 resolve?
  8. I would definitely expect to see some "wow" abilities when hitting lvl 18 with my Paladin
  9. question to everybody: what was the first POE's state upon release? I played the game on version 3 and loved it but I hear it was a much different game when it got out. I do hate companies releasing unfinished games but that's usually the industry overall. My only hope is that a year after release the game is much more fleshed out/balanced
  10. I don't know if the game is going to be enhanced this way but I definitely loved the flavor of some missing class specific talents like the Priest ones from the first game. Would love to have those back
  11. I knew from the beginning that I’d have to wait. I only play this kind of games only once and I want it to be as balanced/polished as it can be. I was prepared for this. POE1 was a completely different game when it got out to the one I played, so this is to be expected here as well. Even more so with multi/sub classes involved.
  12. Without having played a single second of the beta I have to say, these changes seem amazing. All in the right direction. I can imagine that the game will take a lot of balancing even after the release but with this update the fundamentals seem to be spot on especially compared to the previous state of the betta. Congrats and I hope the backers enjoy themselves
  13. ah ok..I like the modals flavor wise but I'd really like them to be more useful in general
  14. I've heard that the general consensus was that weapon modals were next to non useful in the beta. Does anyone know if there's any discussion on "fixing" those on release? Thanks
  15. Οn a serious note I fear that we’ll have to wait a significant amount of patches to have the game properly balanced. Subclasses and multiclassing will make it so
  16. When I look again the first POE, the only change I’d made in the DR system would be to have it at percentile basis. DR bypass too.
  17. If they make single classes worthwhile I can imagine something like the following: Main PC - Cleric Aloth - Spellblade Eder - Fighter Maia - Ranger Pallegina - Paladin Serafen - Cipher Tekehu - Theurge Xoti - Priest
  18. really so many things that are "fixed" while they were never broken... I don't get it really
  19. Maybe instead of subclasses from the get go we should have them enabled after a certain level for single class characters only adding more benefits that drawbacks of course. Something that rewards single class progression.
  20. Min maxing felt like solving an equation to me thus I never go for it. Breaks my immersion in a way that no character would really optimize all his “stats” to take advantage of the world mechanics. Anyway I do dump some stats in some classes but never to an extreme
