What you can do I guess is tweak, not rewrite. For example, don't change Tristan's class, just change his Domains. Or keep Jaethal as Inquisitor, but with a strong subclass. Same for Jubilost. You know, things like that.

I hate games where I get max level very late, and those cool new powers that I just got will be usable for like the next hour or so. I still have all the loot to collect and enemies to defeat, I'd rather do it with big fireballs, not firecrackers.

A persistent online RPG is different than a single player RPG is the distinction I'm making. No one knows about Deadfire. My friends even forgot. But they all know about Fallout 76. Bethesda is more recognizable brand than Obsidian. For general public at least.

There were some gaping holes between good cRPG releases, and still are, so I've picked up jRPG early and because of that I constantly have something new to play. That's for nearly 30 years (and I'm still behind lol).

I fell in love with Arcane Trickster so much that my current MC is one! I did a better job with character creation than OolCat with Octavia though :D Such an amazing caster class.

The cast of Inhumans just looks like a variation of Rogue 1. Just look at the poster, other than the two main characters, the others are pretty much Cassian, Jyn, Chirrut and a slimmer version of Baze :D Totally not derailing the thread here.

Not even close lol. Where did you get that idea :D You only dip in Monk and Pally for saves and AC, there is no point to 17 CHA. You build this character DEX, not STR. You only need enough Knife Master Rogue levels for Finesse feats (4 IIRC), then Vivisectionist gives you more damage. Also, Halfling is the best race for this. Also I hate this build because it restricts you to Lawful Good :/

I played Ni No Kuni 2 actually and felt that its a game that takes best parts of Star Ocean and Suikoden, when it comes to combat and building your own power base. Unfortunately the game is aimed at younger audience so the story and characters are very childish. If they took this system and made a serious game with it, it would be huge.

2 nuts special sounds like a wonky sex move. 1. Find a chest you can pick up 2. Fill it with everything. EVERYTHING. 3. Throw the chest at unsuspecting enemy. 4. Loot the corpse. People were literally creating "barrelmancer" builds which focused on throwing heavy objects at enemies. And one One Punch Man chest for emergencies :D That is the kind of environmental reactivity I expect from a good RPG title.

In my eyes, this sentence translates to: "I want all fantasy RPG games to be precisely the same game with no attempts at innovation or evolution." Dunno what about you, but I for one am quite glad that nowadays, both Kingmaker and Deadfire can exist, giving us all a choice in what we want to play. It's not like Deadfire pretends it's a game in a different setting than it actually is. (And no, you wouldn't play Black Flag to roleplay a pirate. You wouldn't play Black Flag to roleplay just about anything.) Or.. I'm just not a big fan of pirates? I don't mind change but this particular setting doesn't interest me at all.
