Soul Annihilation+ Whispers of the Endless Paths=Broken
Invest in Alchemy and buy/craft Deadeye drugs. Solves everyones ACC problem =) There are gloves and belt with +2 Alchemy on em as well so its easy to get high values. Dead gives me almost 20+ Acc for nearly 600sec with around 12 points in Alchemy. (not 100% sure what my actual Alc skill is at and im at work so cant check)

Soul Annihilation+ Whispers of the Endless Paths=Broken
I tried Cipher for only a couple of lvls in this game. They do not feel as fun as they were in the first game. Casting times in general is too long for what they actually produce. Also enemies completely ignoring charmed targets now (as it seemed to me) makes charm feel even less appealing.

Viability of Nalpazca?
Also Alchemy applies to potions as well. My favourite skill in the game. I think I have 10 in Alchemy atm and my deadeye drug gives me +17% Acc for around 500sec. That's pretty neat! Svef is nothing to sneeze at either.

Is riposte just bad?
Yeah definitely needs to proc on graze too. Or increase its proc chance on miss. 20% is kinda lame

Ravaged: Perception instead of DEX?
Does Tenacious inspiration stack with the helwalker might buff BTW? Also if you intend on sitting on your wounds instead of spending them you will have another 10int right there from monk modal. Honestly I haven't played Helwalker so I don't know how squishy u get but on my Berserker/Drugmonk I dumped res all the way and might to 10 and he is trainwrecking on solo Veteran currently on lvl 11. In fights I'm at 30Int with two area of effect rings heh. I try to keep my armour rating really high to compensate, using devil of carocs armour and potions to absorb blows.

Is riposte just bad?
Argh! I click on a thread about riposte and I learn that the final boss is a dragon! Use spoiler tag please

Ravaged: Perception instead of DEX?
I'd go high dex and high per. Low res and lowish might and medium con.

Multi-hit weapons, AEs, and swift flurry - also spell resist
Yeah I avoid swift flurry like the plague, always go for the shock lash instead because of how broken it is.

Subclasses: Poor design makes them undesirable.
Berserker with mordryn sword = subclass without malus

Ranger/Chanter question
Does dex and action speed buffs affect reload speed as well?
-
Ranger/Chanter question
Any other class cept paladin and rogue that would have cool full attacks to use with pistols? I really want two pistols bugged or not ;P
-
Ranger/Chanter question
What a shame. Rogue has such boring abilities and the decent ones are so expensive to use. I do know for certain that I want to be a skald tho, so dirty fighting would be nice. Really saddening that the pistol attack frequency is bugged. Maybe I'll wait

Ranger/Chanter question
Ahh /Facepalm. Thanks! =)

Ranger/Chanter question
Hello, i suddenly found an urge to play a dual pistol build with the pirate hat! I want the quickest reload/recovery speed as possible so i was wondering if Chanters reload phraise buff stack with the rangers reload speed passive? Anyone know? In case nobody knows, since i cannot really check the recovery/reload speed in the combat logs how can i test this properly?

Help With a Marauder (Berserker/Streetfighter) for PotD.
Turning wheel fire lash doesn't work?

Tell me about Poe 1 differences
Dorftek replied to Nefarious7's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Combat require player interaction on higher difficulties in PoE 1. In PoE2 u set ur AI and and watch battles play out in your favor. PoE1 has too much reading. PoE2 has just the right amount of reading. That's the differences to me Oh and Might matters in PoE1..

beta build: Lord Critalot, the devoted assassin
Yeah Cipher/Assassin was my first try but it was too fragile as I'm playing only solo until they have fixed the difficulties

beta build: Lord Critalot, the devoted assassin
I'm playing a Bleakwalker/Assassin. FoD alpha strike from stealth is very sexy.

[CLASS BUILD] No Pain, No Brains (Monk/Paladin)
It's very creative, I applaud this idea. However I'd personally never use it as its a build abusing the immortality screw up by the devs lol. Still tho, very creative and clever build. =)

Combat is now mostly a dull chore
Dorftek replied to cokane's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The game needs to be balanced around players having access to Empowered magic and tons of healing and tons of buff every single encounter. Because we do, every single encounter should be tuned with empower in mind. Otherwise it will be too easy. Good and well thought out builds will shine and crappy ones will not, just as it should be in a RPG.

No Endless Paths style Dungeon in POE 2?
Dorftek replied to mjo2138's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The first time I explored the endless paths was the best thing in the game for me. It was awesome!

Combat is now mostly a dull chore
Dorftek replied to cokane's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Do it like xcom. A death is a death and it's permanent. U can always hire more mercs. If the watcher dies it's game over. I'd really love that. THAT would make every fight feel more exciting

shoutout to devs
Dorftek replied to jomoroon's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The game is fun with the multiclassing and the per rest change. But all in all so far, to me, this is a massive downgrade from PoE1. All tactical challange in combat you could find in PoE1 is completely gone. So cdombat is much much worse in this game. This is also takes away from the fun of exploring multiclassing.

Anyone else kind of regretting multiclassing?
Dorftek replied to master guardian's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I love the multiclassing. How can anyone believe they suck? A cipher with Carnage? A tank with Riposte? Anything with Faith and Conviction? So many possibilities some stronger then others. I've only played this game solo so far because of the lack of difficulty and I am super happy about multiclassing. I love my Bleakwalker/Assassin!

Let‘s help the developers to balance the game
Dorftek replied to Sir Davion's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yeah there need to be some punishment or cost to regain Empower points. Either that or a fat nerf to empowering. Since the removal of Health/Endurance system healing feels overpowered. A slight nerf to many heals especially the fighters rapid recovery wouldn't hurt imo. Summoning creatures doesn't break stealth, so a summoner can stay in stealth completely safe from any kind of aggro and spam summons. Make all spells break stealth. There are quite a few abilities that need tuning, I haven't played enough to list them but some abilities seems very broken. I can't belive they haven't fixed invisibility in this game either, still, like in the first game going invisible breaks combat and resets the encounter. If playing solo. If I drag pull an encounter I can kill one guy, go invisible and they run back to their spawn and I enter stealth and then repeat. Would be a lot more fun if I could play my solo assassin and use invisibility to create backstabs in combat rather then resetting the encounter. Enemies aren't trying to debuff you enough, they do not use enough tricks on you to feel very threatening. Summoned weapons need buffing to compete with unique weapons.
