  1. The problem is again the choice possible. You have not 8 choices but 4. And you add hold the line, that everybody take each time I presume : p For single class it is a little improvement, but not crazy. Among 3 martial talents, you will choose generally only one of them.
  2. A new proficiency has been added. Problem, she is here immedately. Devoted cannot choose fist/claw as proficiency. A proficiency is a choice no ? It is not innate... So I think its a bug. Cause also a problem with Druid / Devoted by extension.

  4. Sadly, I havn't test yet this combo, but if it is true, this is a bug. It is a minor form of monk training. It is not additive.
  5. Yes new passives or not hyper inspired. Without annihilating balancing, there is an opportunity to create better passives abilities.

  7. There are old good and bad points, but I only tell the change-related, or the non-change related. GOOD - MIGHT. Might coming back. Good for Cipher and Druids. Globally a good idea. - PASSIVES AND SINGLE CLASS. More passives for single class. Better balancing for them. - SPEED SLIDER. Speed Sliders. Even if, now I think I can play without slow mode. So the first intention wasn't has such a bad idea... BUT Overall, everybody has the choice now. Sometimes can be useful with a lot of ennemies and a risk of sudden double attack. Side note : slow mode seems to be very slow now... (Melee and caster are naturally slower in POE2) - UI. UI Improvements. Empower slot is beautiful. - [EDIT] CASTING SPEED. -Globally- far more satisfaying now. BAD - RESOLVE. Resolve is now again globally a dump stat (for me) - SHIP COMBAT. Ship combat (Ship to ship with textual battle) is always a coming disaster at the release date (for me) - BALANCING. Few weird balancing. A) 2-3 power source for rogue for an "ok effect" but absolutely not a "crazy effect". (2 power source is already HUGE atm) B) 3 seconds for a fireball (good !) but 6 seconds for essential phantom which is a kind of overtime effect. So deserve a better treatment than instant effect like instant damage. C) I don't repeat my opinion on all subclasses, or all powers, check the corresponding topic for "problems" that I consider already present in BB1, 2 and 3. - NEW PASSIVES New Passives are slightly disappointing, I was expecting better for each classes. It is extremely general. And often, I return to my old choice. Result : Nothing has really changed. Not really new "creative" passives I want to say. One among three martial is good for melee who wasn't Fighter, and few good things for casters (10 % of casting speed + 20 % of area of effect). Globally OK for single, neutral for the rest. - MODALS. Modals always WTF. -50 % recovery for unarmed against 2 penetration. Lol... I stay on my position : An evolution with points (3 stages of evolution : acqusition, then +Bonus, then -malus) could be a better idea. (despite the black warning in the character creation screen, "that all weapons can be used". It's a wishful vow, too few people will do it...). - STACKING RULES. Few incomprehension with stacking rules. Paladin + Fighter. Oh it is too bad, my aura and my personnal skill doesn't stack. What is the interrest to pick both in multiclass ? OR even without one guy, but more in a team division/optimization ? With ONE single paladin and 4 fighters single for example. Personnal stance +5 accuracy is totally useless for everyone, or Paladin can't choose accuracy. Weird choice I think. Stacking rules are definitely not fun in Pillars of Eternity. - WEIRD MIXING (SOUND). It is perhaps me, Maybe I'm used to original musical themes, but I think there are few doubtful re-mixing theme in BB4. (To confirm with others testimonials)
  8. I tested this today... Personnally, always the same feeling. - Horrible repetitive music with drum. - Horrible concept. It is not fun. 38m - 38m 38m And quick a good fight. (it is true...) Or like climhazard said, turn, miss, turn hit, during 15 turns. Pazaak have a strategy. There is chance but also strategy. There are cards and it is fun. A good base for a mini-game. Same for Gwent. It is awsome. FAR BETTER than Poker dice (not bad in witcher 1 and 2, but largely less fun than gwent) But Poker dice is 100x more fun than... ship to ship battle in POE2. For me, if Obsidian don't want to represent a true naval battle, the only remain solution is a derivation of concept. Like "items with numbers". Not really a card game, but few "elements" with matter to think. To thicken this mini-game. For me, actually, even with few change with BB4 (cosmetic...), this mini-game is catastrophic. My plan is to avoid it as much as possible in the final game...
  9. Josh seems to be helpless with his system. "There can be a bad build if Players take twice bad abilities I can do nothing against that"... I m sorry but a good way to create no bad build is to "open the door" with stacking rules and play with a thing called Power Level. Stacking rules in POE1 was the thing I dislike the most. Like the feel in Dark Souls 2 when you realize there is no fun to play Magic because nothing stack with spells. (Except Unleashed magic with a big malus and 3 slots... That is < to take an anoth crystal soul spear for example : p). Perhaps the worst decision of Pillars 1. Nobody understand why weapons stack (Might +1 + Might +1) and not the rest. Why 6 priest can stack 60 accuracy with one spell, but others no.
  10. Full custom for me. I love create A to Z a character and control all his developpement. Except if specific characters have specific talents/abilities.
  11. there is a thing I don't understand. Why "only scale upward" is not a difficulty mode/already included ? If not it is really personnal shopping. "I will take a little of this or of that". More there are options, more PoTD means nothing.

  13. There is an excellent improve with push effect for melee. It is already a great thing. One problem remain : casting. if indeed, you can retarget. Often, retarget need a more larger area. So except if you approach your caster by anticipation, you retarget in a void without foes.
  14. Hope the delay will be used to improve this horrible ship2ship. Few weeks ago, I launched a poll to understand the real situation on this feature in the spirit of players (people like or dislike ? etc.) And there was a 50 / 50. But frankly, I think a lot of people hate this mini-game. Boring and not fun. +1 for you Katie.
  15. Each time I do the game : Aloth / Eder / Durance hyper easy to get. Doable before do anything. Kana is also ok, if you sneek a little. You + 4 = 5. Pallegina and others is more complicated. Because there are battles impossible to skip in caed nua. I am a big fan of custom characters but if you are not, no way to have 6 party members before a long time. But more : the topic of all declarations is more : in WM2, they are often a the end of the game. (people do generally these extension at the end.)

  18. Bad thing. Shef left the ship 3 weeks before release date. Not a great indicator... Obsidian what are you doing ?... It is not a KOTOR 3 story ? Right ?^^
  19. Casual don't know the thing. First time I play the game, I found only aloth easily. Others members are more... here and here. It is easy to miss and arrive to caed nua only with 2 characters (you and Aloth). Now, I go immediatly found all my companion BEFORE^^ start quests.

  22. Seriously I don't understand the problem with Multiclass / Singleclass problem. There is only one tool to use : Power Level. This "thing" is the key for balance between single and multi. There are no others solutions. Because if you nerf 20 % or x or y, you put multiclass at the good level, but you put single class even lower. So, to avoid this gap phenomenon, you must use power level, or whatever its name or form. In short "The moving variable". I repeat myself but : (example of Flame of Devotion) Multi Accuracy +20 Fire damage+30 % (20 % + 10 % PL) Single Accuracy +20 Fire damage+50 % (20 % + 30 % PL) For the rogue, the problematic rogue : two possibilities : Exemple of his actual +50 % with afflictions : 1) Single class : 80 % (40 % + 40 % PL) Multiclass : 50 % (40 % + 10 % PL) or we thinking 50 % is the max : 2) Single class : 50 % (20 % + 30 PL) Multiclass : 35 % (20 % + 15 PL)
