Man. I don't know if it's bugs or a corrupt save file but Elex 2 has crashed to desktop on me about 6 times the last 2 days. I know I've been doing 12 hour sessions, but come on.

The ones I have aren't bad games and The only 'soulslike' I've finished is the one that's closest to being a normal rpg, Ashen and that was because of the questing.

I own like 7 or 8 soulslike games and I've never played more than about 10-15 hours on any one 'cause I find them boring. All rpgs have the explore - fight - loot - level gameplay loop but in souls games those loops feel stunted without an actual story. The combat and exploration aren't interesting or satisfying enough to hold my attention.

I've confirmed Jax's son, Dex is the Chosen One. Where we mere mortals have to use jetpacks, Dex is capable of unassisted human flight. Have you ever seen an angel fly? Or at least a filthy child?

I'm about 15 hours into Elex 2 and sitting around level 13. I've scrounged enough weapons and armor and had enough levels that I'm starting to get to the point of not having to run in every fight. Wish my babymama wasn't such a nag, though.

I just finished that quest like an hour ago. I'm in North America and I think they censored the word 'cocaine' in the song.

Aside from some of the most disorienting CGI cut scenes, I agree.

I don't like Brandon Sanderson's writing style (his humor and anime inspired action scenes annoy me), but I found this ammusing:

My favorite ME DLC is Project Overlord. It was the best blend of horror and sci-fi in the series.

I like hot tea but I was raised around iced and mostly sweet tea. I don't like either iced or sweet tea so I never saw the appeal until I was older and had a hot cup instead.

I began my caffeine addiction in high school. (Lived in a foster home with up to 10 people in the home. My brother would wake me up at 5AM so we could get the first showers. Coffee was the only way I could stay awake until the school bus got there.) Anyway, about a year and a half ago I saw an ad for mudwtr (mud water), a coffee substitute without caffeine. Recently I ordered a (very expensive) can to try it out. Keep in mind I've only used it for 2 or 3 days and prior I was on a caffeine detox. Taste: Cinnamon. In fact so cinnamon that it made me realize that it wasn't the pumpkin in pumpkin pie I didn't like but the cinnamon. If you're like me and not the biggest fan of lots of cinnamon then I'd recommend adding the coconut creamer to your order 'cause the coconut takes the spiciness of the cinnamon down several notches. Price: $40 a 30 dose can. I was raised like a child born in the Great Depression and spent my whole life drinking only the cheapest coffee, to me that price is staggeringly high. But, Effectiveness: It works. I don't get the sudden shot of chemical satisfaction that I do from drinking caffeine but I also don't get the jitters and crashing either. It does wake me up though not as fast as coffee or Mountain Dew or a Five Hour Energy. If anyone is interested, ingredients as seen here (not my pic):

I always 'romance' Ashley and leave her behind on Virmire. BTW, I played mostly paragon (though I was balanced the first 2 games thanks to egregious abuse of exploits), did the control ending, started out as an engineer but became a sentinel (in my head cannon Cerberus gave me biotics), and was a dedicated bachelor who tried and failed to hookup with Samara (I'd make a Luke Skywalker and Shepard loving blue milk joke, but I'm too classy).

I got Mass Effect Remance Edition for free so I gave it a whirl. I played the original trilogy on PC and my code for ME:RE was for PC too. It's clear that the studio BioWare outsourced this to put in a lot of effort so I kinda feel bad saying it, but the originals were better. ME:RE's introduced lots of new bugs, mods for the OG games aren't compatible, but worst yet: a lot of the new lighting just isn't as thematic as the original. Anyway, confirmed what I've always thought: Mass Effect 3's biggest problem isn't the ending but how boring it managed to make the end of all intelligent life in the galaxy. Now to twiddle my thumbs until Elex 2 comes out.
