They also have all the characters except Morriane, Lan, and Rand farther alone in their arc, which is awkward 'cause Rand's the only one who acts as young as he was in the books but he gets a sex scene. Let me know if I'm the only one who found that weird.
I gave up after the first episode and began a reread of the books. Halfway through The Eye of the World.

TWoT is one of my favorite epic fantasy series. I've read the whole series more times than I care to admit. One thing I knew they wouldn't get right because it's nearly impossible to in a visual medium is how the series is supposed to act as the origin and monomyth for all mythologies and legends.
Watched the 1st episode of the Wheel of Time. It sucks. They added way too many Hollywood-isms.

Just unlocked an achievement for Ys 9 for 2000 kills after sitting back and letting a fire mushroom explode. I laughed a bit too hard at the irony of that.
Been playing Ys 9. I love the Ys series, though not as much as I do Falcom's other flagship series The Legend of Heroes. There's got to be 3 or 4x as much story in Ys 9 as there was in 8. There's a lot of cut scenes, for an Ys game. I like the characters but I feel like the twist is very obvious. The gameplay is the best in the series with new slick traversal mechanics like teleportation, wall running, and gliding and a decent size new city hub to use them in. Even so, some of the flying enemies are annoying. So far my favorite Ys game to date.

My Jets on a Thursday night game against the Colts. I think the short week will make the Jets look a bit better than they are but given how good the Colts defense is the final score gets out of control in the 4th quarter. 28 - 19 Colts. Mike White does not throw for 400 yards in this game and unlike last week the 2 ints he throws tonight will be solely his fault.
Everyone I know personally, except lawyers, has had covid. Most showed no symptoms.

Everyone I know who's been vaccinated later caught covid. Not sure why you're raking Rodgers over the coals for considering himself immunized and getting covid when the same's true of ever vaccinated player who got covid after the shot.
