  1. Young Sherlock Holmes got through all his life trails through the power of friendship and on the coattails of more talented people? This is a startling revelation.
  2. Hopefully they are terrible. At this point the mistreatment of the franchise is entertaining to me
  3. Oh hai Aloth. Okay now I really want the Watcher to wrestle a wand off a svef dealer who Aloth has crossed, then later, when Pallegina cheats on him, kill himself with it. "You're lying I never hit you! You're TEARING ME APART, PALLEGINA!" [Aloth walks into blacksmith's store.] Aloth: Hi. Proprietor: Oh hi, Aloth. I didn't know it was you. [Grabs random package.] Here you go. Aloth: That's meee. How much is it? Proprietor: It'll be eighteen go-- Aloth: Here you go! Keep the change. Hi, doggy. Proprietor: You're my favorite customer. Aloth [deadpan]: Thanks a lot. Bye. Proprietor: Bye-bye. Iselmyr: I dona know why ya can't talk like a person, pointy-ear.
  4. Good ****! Seriously one of the densest pieces of literature I've ever read, it needs the room to breath. Unlike those mal-adaptions of The Hobbit. I honestly thing the best way to adapt Dune's story is to take the series and turn it into a full blown TV series that gets the Expanse/Game of Thrones treatment. That said, I'd be willing to take even a decent Dune movies at this point.
  5. ^List succeeds in telling more about the guy who wrote it than making FF memes. To him, everything is Star Wars.
  6. The lighthearted sarcasm, it burns us, precious.
  7. Just finished Dex. I've played it a bit before but hated the hacking mini-game (which is a big part of the game). I started playing last Saturday night, through Sunday, and then all day today. Finished it in just under 20 hours. That's with me nearly 100% the whole game. Not very long, but enjoyable. I don't think there's much value in replaying (yes, there are branching quests, alternate character builds, and different endings, but I didn't get the impression that they made the game feel vastly different or anything). Good game worth playing, especially at the price point.
  8. ^ I love it how the guy looks down at the floor, sees the straw thing, and then realizes he lost.
  9. Jets made a trade to move up three spots in the draft, presumably to pick up a QB. I'm shocked. Not because of the QB-school dropout they picked up in free agency, but because they made a move in the draft . . . at all. For a franchise that has historically been terrible at QB, you'd think they'd have as many picked in the first round as the Browns, but they really don't.
  10. Dear moderators, I think it is safe to close this thread.
  11. Playing Trails of Cold Steel 2. There's a fishing mini game that acts as a hidden quest chain that completes if you catch one of each type of fish. Last night I was really struggling with the final fish. I looked it up online and apparently there's a bug if the game is set for 60FPS or higher. After capping frames at 30FPS, I caught the fish that owned me for 2 hours last night on my first try. The things I do to 100% a game.
  12. Seeing this little guy walk reminds me of Reepicheep.
  13. Taken in contest with the Funny Business thread, this is flat earth is owned by Illuminati confirmed.
  14. Prince Olivert is voiced by Mathew Mercer. So he's kinda got me here. He's also the one who sends me the most requests. Here is one of his finer. I took the bait and did read the note, Olivert. It's your win . . . for now. I told you Annabel was a pokemon trainer. (By the way, this lead to a fishing mini-game that is QTE that's so hard I still haven't finished it.) Everyone treats Rean like a beast of burden. Even the children. I took this pic just 'cause I thought it looked cool.
  15. Is there an early access/beta you haven't played though?
  16. I'm not convinced that in this types of games that pathfinding will ever not be bugged. Look at Baldur's Gate, IWD, Planescape Torment and all of them had pathing problems (though they usually manifested in different ways).
  17. I'm still amazed its not going to be released 3rd quarter. When they said spring 2018 during the fig campaign I laughed (just goes to show me).
  18. Haven't played enough beta to know if its the same in Deadfire, but in POE there were abilities you could pick that would give them elemental damage bonuses.
  19. I love to play monks, but this is why they start you out with two weapons set options.
  20. Chicken and waffles has been on my bucket list for years. Someday, though, someday.
  21. Later than most modern RPGs? Yes. Later than the games POE models itself after? Not at all.
  22. Here's vidoegamedunky roasting it:
  23. The animations are the least of the games problems. The story is flippant, actively contradicts established lore, and at times honestly feels like its insults your intelligence. They managed to get to Andromeda in a measly 300 years despite FTL speeds previously established as only being usable for short duration, by accelerating slowly. Yeah. That's how they explained way that plot hole.
