  1. They also think about an "enhanced PoE1 edition" after PoE2 comes out. That would be a port to Unity 5 then. But nothing is decided on that matter.
  2. My early ACT I PotD path usually is: - Sell everything to Heodan in order to get nearly 2500 bucks. - Cilant Lis als usual - go to Valewood, kill the one outlaw that stands on the road, then lure the wolves to the bandits and free the dwarf, speak to norton Nonton. - go to Gilded Vale, talk to the Black Hound barkeeper, do Against the Grain, pick up the Smith's quest and the Anslög Compass quest, pick up Aloth, rest, pick up Edér, hire a low micro merc that fits - like a supporter paladin for example - beeline to Durance, beeline to Kana - kill everything hostile in Valewood including bears, fetch Fulvanos stuff on the wall - solve Norton's quest in Gilded Vale - do Smith's quest, luring the top left trolls into the bandits (who are very tough otherwise) - do Madhmr Bridge quest with the looters - do Anslög's Compass quest (no tricks needed, mushrooms can be annoying) - do Temple of Eothas quest (no tricks needed, shades can be annoying) - do Raedric quest (frontal assault in order to get as much gear as possible, using chokepoints and pulling - abusing Kana's White Worm , paladins can be annoying) - do Caed Nua (easy - nothing annoys me anymore) - sometimes do some levels of the Endless Paths, but usually going right to Defiance Bay, might pick up Sagani and drop the merc (not necessarily) I do the same if I only want to use hirelings. But that's usually a bit tougher as I said. On the way I clear all maps which I cross - except Valewood which I clear after GIlded Vale. This way you won't have any trouble on PoTD, no matter the classes or builds and whatnot - if you know how the game mechanics work.
  3. It's supposed to be the final one unless game breaking bugs pop up.
  4. It's actually a lot easier with story companions than with hirelings. PoTD is most tough in the early game and story companions' level is one above hirelings' which is a huge plus. Few stat points in the right places don't matter that much. You can get four companions very quickly and then hire one adventurer until you reach the fifth. And a rogue is always non optimized - compared to other classes. It's not that difficult at all.
  5. Guys - I'll bring along those five guys for the PoE1 run I do before playing PoE2. In PoE2 only the first three of them. In PoE2 I'll most likely multiclass the blue olan. Can't say what since I don't know the classes and subclasses yet. My first playthrough will be a RP one to enjoy the story and explorarion like I always do before starting with the minmaxing stuff.
  6. They will most likely even allow you to change your class (source: Q&A with Josh S. and Bobby N.) - so... Nevertheless, I'm doing a "Boeroer the blue orlan one handed max crit rogue who operates behind enemy lines" build with the Aattuuk dagger. Just for roleplaying reasons and to see how good it gets. Maybe I'll reach a >90% crit/hit ratio. I'll bring along Edér (second squishy rusher), Aloth (Sir Lance-a-lot), Pallegina (dual wielding supermarker) and also Kana (Chillfog) and Durance (buffs only).
  7. The class with the highest "passive" defenses in the early game is a chanter who sings the two lvl-1 phrases which raise fort/will/reflex by +10. He has higher deflection than a paladin then, too. The paladin will catch up at some point though. Best is to use both: Faith & Conviction and the chanter's phrases stack, making the paladin even more tanky.
  8. There will be reverse pickpocketing with explosives & poisons & alchemy and stuff. Sounds really cool - therefore I chose the dwarven rogue. Totally forgot his name though...
  9. Not any crazier than wearing Munacra Arret... Hush! Gromnir got hit in the face too many times during fights. He really needs to work on his dodging skills - seriously. Or grow taller maybe? Most of the time I can safely wear my glasses while getting punched in the upper arm. Please note the winking smiley thingy! Because it's winking really hard. No, wait: It's winking path-of-the-damned-like to be precise...
  10. I'm very grateful that you guys keep us up to date. Buuut... the images from SA are not readable on my mobile and you can't maginfy the forum posts if you use the mobile version of the forum (I know I'm a spoiled child). I'd have no problem with a simple copy & paste in quote-tags or so. If that doesn't bother you of course.
  11. Cat o' nine tails! With multiple personalities. Every tail tells a different tale... ...pun intended!
  12. Did you hear that Aarik gave a shout out to us us on the latest Q&A stream with Josh & Bobby? He explicitly told folks to go and help crowdfund this crew. Isn't that great? Thanks, Aarik!
  13. Yes, it works. And it also uses the accuracy bonus of Transcendent Suffering, which is not always the case with special attacks. I hope you didn't mean Enervating Blows. In case you did: those also work with fists.
  14. Good question. Never tried that, but it should. I never read about an issue with that. I will fire up the game and test it with the console and report back in a few minutes.
  15. If you do some math with your weapon's base damage, MIG and the other damage mods you will see that you will do 20% more weapon base damage. You will have to do a lot of attacks though to catch enough values in order to have a good spread. Because - as Kaylon said - the bonus damage is not displayed as a seperate value anywhere. It also doesn't show on your char screen. You have to watch and examine the damage values in the combat log. I myself tested it at length with Bittercut and also a bit with Firebrand. I didn't test it with Stormcaller myself, but based on the things other players reported I have no doubt it works the same there - unless OBS broke with with the latest patch or so - but I don't think so.
  16. I would totally love get that BIB frigate as a player. Much cooler than a whimpy sloop! Maybe the player can redeem the BIBs in some way, lift a curse off that frigate, free the pirates' souls that are bound to it (something like that) and finally inherit the BIB frigate named"Heaving Harlot" (no.1 at the moment I think).
  17. Why? Do you always plan to get hit in the face when starting a fighting? You need to work on your dodging skills. Her glasses are not sillier than Munacra Arret or Lavender Wreath in my opinion. Maybe they are just optical instruments that help finding that superduper adra stuff everybody's so exited about.
