With Monks, Don't Bother Multiclassing
You can't cast PL 8 and 9 spells from Grimoires if you are a multiclass wizard.

Best blood mage build possible
Another way how you can do good single target damage with a dumped MIG/CC focused Bloodmage is to use Concelhaut's Draining Touch and to summon Essential Phantom. It will also get the Draining Touch weapon and can attack repeatedly with it (won't go away after hit). It targets Will, it drains health for the Phantom, it does very high base damage (corrode). While the phantom hits enemies with respectable damage (for a summon) you can place your CC spells. Like Miasma (lowers Will for the Phantom like crazy). I did this with a Geomancer but it might also work well with any other low MIG Bloodmage variant.

So How Do You Kill a herald with 19 armor and 160+ Deflection?
You don't get the point. It's ok to recommend stuff, even multiple times - when it fits a topic or a question. Putting it everywhere (and even open multiple fake help threads which are only there to boast about how awesome your build is) - that's when you start to look like a pretentious phoney begging for attention. If you think this is necessary then please go ahead.

Bellower concept
Summons don't scale with power level but only char level. So bonus PLs don't do anything for your summons' stats. Power Level bonuses are very good with Eld Nary's + Upgrade though.

Theorycrafting Thoughts On New Classes (Patch 4.0 Beta)
Yes, unfortunately. Hence the Flames of Devotion "circumvention"

Arcane Archer weapons?
You should report that. Nick Carver (designer of he new subclasses) said in the beta forum that the Imbue Spells are supposed to scale with Power Level like other spells do.

Best blood mage build possible
Hm... I tend to recommend Sage (Bloodmage/Nalpasca). Because the self damage from Blood Sacrifice and Alacrity will give you lots of wounds and Citzal's Spirit Lance + Stunning Surge and Swift Flurry + Heartbeat Drumming + Enduring Dance is bonkers. Citzal's with Force of Anguish, too. Bonus fun with Instruments of Pain. I'm not sure it's the optimal combo, but it's fun as heck if you have a good healer in the party. Solo it's just suicide.

Theorycrafting Thoughts On New Classes (Patch 4.0 Beta)
Yes. Double Arcana-ACC boost with Imbue shots so to speak. But with non-imbue attacks of Archer and Devoted you will suffer the Arcane Archer's ACC penalty. A way around this would be to not use a Devoted/Arcane Archer but a Paladin/Arcane Archer. Because Flames of Devotion does not get the ACC Malus because it's an elemental attack. It only costs 1 Zeal and in most encounters you will not run out of Bond and Zeal altogether. In addition to that Flames of Devotion has +10 ACC anyway. AND it works with the Ring of Focused Flames, giving you additional +10 ACC on top of ACC bonus from Spearcaster/Arcana. Add Zealous Focus, too. Another plus is that (Greater) Lay on Hands is perfect to keep your animal companion alive.

[4.0.1.0044] Ajamuut's Stalking Cloak Doesn't Stun From Invisibility
Boeroer replied to guildwriter's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Funny. With Whispers of the Wind (makes you invisible) it still works.

What's the best way to heal?
ROFL. To be fair: Tekehu is indeed great at both preventing DMG with his Chillfog and stuff and also good at healing with Moon's Light and Moonwell etc.

So How Do You Kill a herald with 19 armor and 160+ Deflection?
Reminding people about good stuff is ok. If you'd make a (honest) dedicated thread about something you like or recommend stuff where it's fitting then nobody would have asked how the ignore list works - or would have begged you to not express your excitement about X or Y in every thread. And that wasn't me. Instead: Thread about healing --> Use Whispers of the Wind! 2 (!) "Help" threads about how to kill a tanky herald are an excuse for bragging about same herald. Thread that's for theorycrafting about the new subclasses --> single class vanilla monk rules (aka Whispers of the Wind is awesome)! You see the pattern. You're assuming that the people here like to read about your new found stuff in every thread. And that is a bad assumption.

Troubadour vs Beckoner in Herald Multi
Sure. If you have Grave Calling go Beckoner.

I just Discovered "Whispers of the Wind"
Yeah - also very constructive.

With Monks, Don't Bother Multiclassing
More afraid to read the same stuff in every new thread I guess...

Pallegina herald build question PoTD
If you were to make a custom Herald built for this passive tanky healing setup of yours, how would you assign their attributes? Maxed MIG and INT. If supposed tank also highish RES. If own damage potential doesn't matter then you can dump PER and DEX and put everything into MIG, INT, RES rest CON. You can still send in summons to deal damage which will work independently from your stats but profit a lot from healing and/or lashes support.

Pallegina herald build question PoTD
What is your goal? I mean how do you want to support? You can makes herald a fantastic passive offensive support (stack Shared Flames + Mith Fyr + Zealous Focus) or passive healing support (stack Ancient Memory + Exalted Endurance). Or you just switch between that as you like. If you have more than one gun or crossbow user (like Maia) in the party you might also want to give Sure Handed Ila a shot (pun intended). Besides that you can't go wrong with a tanky, high AR setup + shield since your passive supports won't suffer at all. Pick up Sasha's Singing Scimitar for the per-encounter-empowered I and you are set. But even a second row guy with pike or quarterstaff or a mid-ranged missile weapon user can be good. So what exactly do you want to play your Herald?

With Monks, Don't Bother Multiclassing
Yes, they are fun. I like to clump enemies up with Arkemyr's Dazzling Lights, then cast Pull of Eora and then jump right into the pack and throw HoF around an retaliate like crazy. Another - often overlooked - superb ability is the PL 9 shouts of the Barb. Especially the circular one. It does good base damage and has an enormous range. The dmasge per Rage point (only 1) is great. And you can apply one (or two with Spirjt Frenzy) afflictions right away. And you can spam it very nicely until everything's dead. Great alternative to HoF if enemies won't gather tightly.

So How Do You Kill a herald with 19 armor and 160+ Deflection?
Maybe - where it fits. Not in every thread that has no hook to come up with that stuff. It's spamming. Besides that, discovering Heralds and Whispers of the Wind now is like discovering the dessert on a table a year after the meal's over and everybody's at home watching Matlock. You wouldn't run through town, waving the old dessert around, ring everybody's doorbell and scream "I just discovered dessert and man it's sooo good! Did you know? Did you? Did you?". Well I hope you wouldn't...

What's the best way to heal?
You can go to your profile pagename-->My Settings-->Ignore Preferences. But it's a pretty drastic move. I didn't use it on anybody yet. Most people come around at some point.

I just Discovered "Whispers of the Wind"
Good point. Usually you don't need the poison because everything's dead from the direct damage when using mortars + Whispers + Resonant Touch. And it only works with melee weapons. But yes - especially if enemies don't stand that near to another and/or if you don't use any AoE weapon with Whispers of the Wind and like the "vibe" of the Mask this could be cool. You could also try Lover's Embrace and see if multiple DoTs of it stack. Like Battle Axes' Bleeding Cuts do. Those are also very nice with Whispers of the Wind. Another weapon that works really well by the way is Watershaper's Focus. Like Dual Mortars basically - only primary attack but jumps one time and triggers Ondra's Wave on crit. The advantage of AoE weapons with Whispers of the Wind is that a) Avenging Storm will hit so many times (no matter the weakness of every individual hit) that it also might kill all enemies and b) that every hit over a certain threshold will generate a Resonant Touch which will then apply flat raw dmg. So it's more about the sheer number of hits you generate and not that much about damage per hit (also nice of course, but in this case with the mortars or rod not no. 1 priority).

Best Two-Handed Weapon For Brute?
The Voulge is also very nice.
-
I just Discovered "Whispers of the Wind"
Not yet. Still playing it. It's not that complicated though. It's a single class ranged Helwalker with dual mortars using Whispers of the Wind and Resonant Touch. Power Surge is only there to add more jumps for Whispers of the Wind. And the rest is pretty standard (Lightning Strikes, Enduring Dance). You can also empower Whispers of the Wind to add more jumps: Or add Avenging Storm with Heaven's Cacophony: An additional trick here is to use a Cloak that stuns enemies if you attack out of stealth or invisibility - because Whispers of the Wind makes you invisible.

Best Two-Handed Weapon For Brute?
The weapon is nice. It couldn't quite compete during testing sessions when you look at sustained damage but it's not bad. The modal of Great Swords gives you +30% bonus damage I think, not +15%? And it means -10 accuracy? Since you want to crit as often as possible with Karabörü you wouldn't want to use the modal - which makes it rather pointless in my opinion. However - the already high PEN of a Devoted/Berserker is enough to deal with the low base PEN of Great Swords, it has dual damage and it looks fantastic (for me that's important as well). It's also easy to get. So overall I think it's a nice alternative. Also Sanguine Great Sword can be good because it heals you - which can be important on a Berserker. Twin Eels as well as somebody else proposed earlier. Do not use Voidwheel! Another very strong weapon is Engoliero do Espirs - if it wouldn't come so late that would be my no. 1 despite the single damage type. The Harvest enhantment is so powerful...
