  1. ‎Keeping Tekēhu and Pallegina together in the party actually results in a really heartwarming moment later. Not sure if it's disposition related, but she was at -2 towards him, while he was +2 towards her.
  2. Huh, that's a really good observation. Given that there's the option to ask him if he has feelings for the Watcher exists, it seems to put the player in the space of misinterpreting a characters intentions. Edér is written as a very genuinely warm and friendly character, but that alone doesn't translate into romantic interest. Interestingly, I recently heard a banter between Edér and Pallegina about the topic of having kids, and he admits he does sort of want them someday, but events have never really quieted down for him. So it got me thinking that from a character standpoint, it really makes sense that the Watcher just might not fit what he had in mind for a partner. If the Saint's War hadn't happened, he likely would have just stayed a farmer (or maybe took up at the temple of Eothas), married a nice girl, started a family, and so on. But the war happened, tore his family apart, and with the Hollowborn crisis, there never seemed to be even a reason to reevaluate ones life goals. He even says, he never really thought about getting emotionally tangled with someone for pretty much 20 years.
  3. It's been a while since I watercolor painted, but I still do a majority of my hobby art traditionally, so I'll weight in a bit: Sketchbook paper probably isn't going to handle water well at all. Paper that isn't treated to take water will likely suck up all the color instantly so you can't even move it around with a brush, on top of the warping and probably falling apart. I'd say at the very least, look into some cheaper watercolor papers or mixed media paper. If the ink is waterproof, you should be fine beforehand. After works just fine too. Looks like Melycinya above already has that covered If you're putting a darker color over a lighter one and don't want bleeding, wait for the layer under it to dry completely. With watercolor, sometimes it seems dry but feels cool when you touch it, which means it's not dry completely through. Once you put down a darker layer, you can soften the edge by gently going over it with a damp brush while it's still wet. General advice: keep a spare piece of paper on the side to do quick tests on. Trying something for the first time on what you intend to be the finished work leads to heartbreak Hope that helps a bit
  4. Your party stash and the ship rations are two separate inventories. From the ship screen, it should list all usable ship items (food and drink, along with things like upgrades) in the 'Ship Equipment and Cargo' box. You have to manually move items from that area into the Food area above it to register as usable rations for the crew.
  5. I... won't even post how much I would be willing to pay for that. But it's a lot. Eh, considering recent controversies, I don't really think Obsidian has any interest on joining the ranks of companies being raked over the coals for selling 'withheld' micro-transaction content. Besides, Obsidian has a pretty good reputation for releasing solid amounts of content in paid DLCs (and before anyone says it, the Tyranny portrait pack was a Paradox thing). But I get the sentiment. I would put down money for an 'expanded ranger pet variations' thing. Let my pale elf ranger have a snow leopard, dammit
  6. Back when it was just PoE1 it kind of irked me that despite Pale Elf men being able to have beards, none of the portraits had it. So I played around with franken'shopping a bearded portrait together. Now that the watercolor ones are a thing, I played around with making it match the style best I could. Not perfect but maybe someone can make use of it
  7. You can also sneak to the boat on the far right fairly easily. You only need one person to get to it (My ranger had 4 stealth I think and managed to get past the few people in the way) to sail out the whole group without anyone the wiser. But yeah getting out of that area is a bit of a mess if you take the elevator the first time through :/
  8. There's one convo with him where the Watcher can ask if he has feelings for her. It takes him a bit to realize what she's talking about, and then gives a it's-not-you-it's-me talk.
  9. It's just a dialogue or two, very minor. Others don't seem to care. Huh, so do the two conversations where Tekēhu TMIs everyone with colorful descriptions of his sexual escapades constitute a romance now? o-O
  10. I believe just answering the first to everything will have them release him. I accidentally found this out when I forgot to switch out some characters so I reloaded. That said, it is possible to fight them and have Giacolo survive. I had Edér use the charge ability on the captain (who was nearest to Giacolo) to engage, and quickly ran Xoti over to cast withdraw on him. I had her AI off through the fight so she wouldn't spend any of the spell slots I needed, and recast it as soon as he was out. That way none of the pirates could attack him (I found out the hard way one attempt with crowd control alone, any of the pirates can sometimes break off to go smack him, and the guy only has one hp)
  11. I got a nice war bow just outside Neketaka. Leave the city on foot, and kind of travel towards the south west. There's an old camp thing there where you go through the book looking choices to examine a camp and then track down and fight some spores. I'm not sure of those events are always in the same spot? Anyways I think you need some decent Insight and survival for it though.
  12. Wait is that why he's permanently at 0 with me? It explains so much. It really really doesn't help that my Eder is bugged to be religious and anti-religious at the same time making him look like he really can't make his mind up. XD I suspect so, although I haven't yet seen a comprehensive confirmation of the extent of the bugs. I also noticed that the description on his 'Painted Masks' quest (I've only it as far as him saying he'll give details later cause I've been side-questin' in Neketawa) says something about him struggling to turn the Leaden Key to good use, but the save I imported had him dismantling them, and the first few convos with him were about how difficult it was to track down their agents. So I wonder if he's weirdly stuck between his two endgame states from the first game Plus his reputation section on him says something about liking benevolent authority or something. I dunno seems a bit off? Edit: Just checked my game, and his Likes list both "Autonomy: Aloth believes that kith should have the freedom to determine their own futures..." as well as "Stewardship: Aloth believes in benevolent authoritarianism." I mean... those sound pretty opposite to me?
  13. I'm feeling a bit betrayed by Aloth being crabby and sinking my disposition with him just from being around the religious types Like c'mon Al, please at least try to tolerate the presence of healers without getting salty at my Watcher :[
  14. Yeah, he seems really crabby in my game :/ It seems like a lot of his disapproval on stuff that looks like reactions to what the other companions are doing, is actually applying to the Watcher? Like Xoti will say something pro-Gods, Aloth has a little popup, and afterwards we have a curt talk :<
  15. I want to know how she knows this. Or at least why she thinks she does. I got the impression that philosophy mostly came from how souls were cycled in the reincarnation wheel. Someone dies, their soul goes back into the spin cycle, washed clean, and eventually put into someone completely different. Which is how Aloth and Iselmyr are completely different personalities even though they came from the same soul. I think she's just applying that same concept to Eothas.
  16. Yeah, which is why I kind of scratched my head when people on other platforms started getting all excited about posting stuff like "Romances are in! We finally get to smooch Edér!" even though that was never said? Even though they specifically said it's about relationships, not necessarily romances. Seems like a lot of people deliberately hyped themselves up on something they imagined must be in just because they want it so bad. The devs aren't really to blame for anyone's disappointment on that matter.
  17. I don't think there was a quest particularly for it. As for a hint, I found it after thoroughly exploring all the areas after an unpleasant elevator ride in the shabby part of Neketaka. Do be aware, it is an area where you can't always get back the way you came, and there are a LOT of unpleasant things between you and the exit. (So definitely keep a save from before you go there).
  18. So I've been mucking about in Chapter 1 still, and I noticed that Xoti's quest just says to help her reap souls and whatnot. So my question is: Is there a set number to this? Sometimes I go off to a dungeon on a side quest and have the purple glowy spirits and if she's there she'll ask if she can reap them, but I don't always take her along. Whenever I find a spirit and don't have her, how potentially screwed am I in regards to her quest if I don't double back to get her? So far I think the only souls I had her grab were the ones in the Arena before you even leave the first island. Thanks in advance!
  19. I just restarted my steam and have the explorer's pack installing. Just before I did hit download for the free Critical Role pack and then rebooted steam to kick it into downloading that. Not sure if that had anything to do with it though.
  20. Pale elf ranger. Cause I like bows and kitties ;D Also the only thing I played in the first, spent ages fine tuning her save for all the choices I wanna transfer. Whee.
  21. A lot of aquatic dinosaurs could make decent sea-monsters with very little modification. Maybe a magical liopleurodon?
  22. Tyranny had a pretty amusing thing going when you, ahem, enjoyed the company of a prostitute: Fade to black, accompanied by the sounds of a furiously hammered anvil.
