What you did today
I had a joke about how by changing the appearance of the rifle it has now become an "assault weapon" even though the function has remained same but I think it would have only been funny to me. What I did today? Nothing really, just another day in the life of a soulless corporate drone EDIT: Almost forgot I spent a few hours trying to find some info on speeding fines for when my wife inevitably gets caught and gets a ticket. I swear they make it impossible to find on purpose. Every link just sends you in a big circle and you end up with no information other than how to pay. I'm not anti govt but today I feel like they are trolling me

This George Zimmerman thing
Sorry to nitpick but it's a pet peeve As for the actual case I don't see how it could have turned out any different with only one person living to tell the tale and the evidence matching up well enough to his story. It's a tragedy and probably could have easily been avoided. I just can't muster the outrage that I see in a lot of people over this because in my opinion it was two people looking for a confrontation and they both got more than they bargained for

Jesus walks the earth again?
Just put him in a crowded room and let him mingle for a while before randomly walking over and casually dropping the name Jesus to a nearby group of people, not so loud that everyone turns and looks but not so quiet as it goes unnoticed. If he turns around and says what then he most likely is Jesus. It's pretty close to an error proof test

Non-romance dynamics in games
I saw that one person objected to a teen girl selling herself and another, quite understandably, doesn't want his daughter going down that path but to me that doesn't seem that strange. I may be missing something though because I admit I haven't been following this thread very closely as it's not something I'm very interested in since I haven't played any of the games mentioned. I've only chimed in on these off topic tangents

What you did today
What did you sell and what did you buy? I'm also interesting in what you bought/sold I dunno what's wrong with me but recently I've been browsing like crazy for a new gun to add to the collection. Hand guns mostly since there are restrictions in the city/county where I live that prohibit me from getting the one thing I truly want, an AR-15. I really miss long distance target shooting with iron sights... one of the few things I miss from the military. Currently eyeing a 9mm H&K P30 for use in the local indoor range. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with it? Pretty sure that half the forum now thinks I'm a crazy gun nut and I've also been added to a few NSA (and other 3 letter agency) watch lists EDIT: I should say that I'm waffling between the P30 and the Walther PPQ

I have a couple tattoos and I love a little ink on women but big chest tattoos are a no no Personally, I can understand getting a tattoo if you lose a loved one because my mom died when I was in my first year of college and I wanted to get a tattoo of something special or unique to remember her by. But here I am 12 years later I still never got that one done because I could never think of anything that I thought did her justice. I also agree with Hurlshot that her choosing to be a public figure makes her fair game- The funny things thread
- do u remember ur first pnp game?
Sadly, I've never played PnP. I was close to playing DnD once and had just started to create a character with some friends who played it quite a bit when my mom walked in and asked what we were up to. Upon hearing Dungeons and Dragons she immediately thought of Mazes and Monsters or something and thinks I'll start worshiping the devil or sacrificing virgins or who knows what. I tried to explain to her that wasn't what I'd do with virgins given the chance and not to worry because I already worshiped the devil. She wasn't amused. When she finally came around the DnD friends had moved far, far away and none of my other (lamer) friends were into it and so it never happened. The end- The funny things thread

- Tablet: Productivity Tool
I have a Nexus 7 and it's great for simple games, reading, media consumption but as other have said it's not that great for productivity. My wife has an Asus something or other with a keyboard docking station that basically turns it into a netbook and she manages to do a fair bit of work on it but her work is mostly line sheets and replying to emails.- What are you playing now?
Civ 5 with the new expansion I really like a lot of the changes that I've seen so far and I think it makes going for a cultural victory a lot more satisfying. - Non-romance dynamics in games
