I can't say I'm surprised about Howard leaving but I wasn't expecting him to end up on the Rockets. I really wished they could have made Kobe, Howard, Gasol, and Nash work but at least it was an interesting trainwreck to watch. I'm a little disappointed to see Iguodala go though as I thought he might have stuck around

They don't all have quotas For instance the department where my cousin (mentioned in the police thread) works only the motorcycle cops have quotas for how many tickets they give because that's pretty much their only function Also, I would say that the war on drugs, three strikes laws, for profit prisons, and a culture that glorifies criminal activity would be much more likely culprits for our ridiculous prison population

I know I'm not the average mmo gamer because I also don't care much for max level play but I'm enjoying it right now because I still have some story left to uncover but I usually lose interest pretty quickly with the end game stuff. I actually enjoy trying to keep my gear up to date as I level so that probably puts me into an even smaller category than the one I'm already in

I may have possibly been a teenager once so I can agree that they are generally ****. Honestly, I think you would see just as much if not more us vs them from the actual police. I'm also willing to concede that maybe the local police that I grew up with are just much worse than your average cops.

I used to have a lot more respect for the police but when my cousin became a cop in my home town and I got more of an insiders point of view of what was going on I quickly lost a lot of that. I know that they aren't all bad and I've actually met some really good ones but now I just assume the worst and hope to be proven wrong

Just finished watching firework shows over Mile High, Coors Field, Elitch Gardens (local amusement park), and the park behind our condo. Also, a bunch of random people and small suburbs out in the distance in every direction. A nice end to a great day

I don't mind it right now since I'm playing my 55 Sorc and can use the legacy XP but this game gives XP way too freely. I wanted to start my new Sniper but I don't want to out level all the content which usually happens anyway even without the boost just by being a semi-completionist. I feel like they are trying to make leveling too fast so they can sell you an item to slow it down like Turbine did with LOTRO

I made the switch to a lightning spec and am back to using Xalek again. He still dies pretty fast but I can usually kill things fast enough for that not to be a problem but I'm working on upgrading all his gear with more defense, shield, and absorption.

I've gone back to my 16 lightning 30 madness build after trying some all out lightning builds. The damage was certainly a little better for random PVE questing but I'm so used to a run and gun play style at this point that it's hard for me to just stand there and cast. Not to mention the healing I get from my DoT crits and death field. At the same time I don't like going full madness because I miss chain lightning, lightning storm, and lightning barrage. If I ever start doing group content then I'll probably make the jump to full lightning EDIT: PS thanks again for all the helpful advice. I feel like I've got a better handle on everything now

Speaking of trees, I've been playing around with mine I've been trying to mix in some Corruption into my Madness hybrid but the small amount of extra healing doesn't seem to offset the hit I take on damage in most situations. It worked great for the Archon fight but for the rest of my play session it was just unnecessary healing and prolonged fights. Also, when did they remove the cost of skill resets? I picked up the field respec legacy perk and was just changing everything around on the fly

I didn't back it but it seems like most of the games that I've backed have all gone over budget

Thinking of giving sniper another shot (no pun intended) I haven't been able to get into the shooty classes that much since my wife only wants to play Jedi and I don't like to be bossed around by force users... I get force envy. I do have a mid to high 30 something whatever the tank commando is called but I play him so rarely that I don't even remember the name of class, a low 30's double pew bounty hunter, and I also have a low 20 something operative. I have 2 of each class type (Sith Sorc/Jedi whatever they call assassin, Sith Marauder/Jedi Guardian, etc) except the smuggler/agent and I think I would rather have a sniper than a gunslinger Also, I want to be able to cast all the class buffs instead of just the force ones

You were dps sorc right? Optimal would be 0 crit 0 alacrity 100% accuracy 70% surge and as much power as you possibly can get. They absolutely destroyed crit in the 2.0 patch, which was beyond stupid if you ask me. Yep, DPS Sorc with a Madness hybrid spec All my attacks are instant or channeled and I put up decent numbers (but I'm sure it's not optimal) with stacking dots, force lightning/force storm, and lightning strike/chain lightning whenever I can instacast them but I kinda miss having a real heavy hitter attack just to see a really high number flash across the screen.

Still chugging along on Makeb I've stopped using Xalek as a tank for most things now and only bring him out for really hard boss fights. Using Ashara makes most trash and strong mobs easy work and only multiple elites and champions that hit waaay too hard are a challenge at this point, but the really heavy hitters tear through Xalek like wet paper also. Gear wise I'm trying to find the right balance with crit, surge, and power. I haven't really bothered with accuracy or alacrity as even with the lower resistance and the GCD bonus it still doesn't seem that worthwhile of a trade off over raw damage.

Been enjoying Makeb quite a bit though I'm a little disappointed they didn't expand on the class and companion stories Also grinding all the lower level heroics for planetary comms to update all my companions gear to purple level 50 mods

Took all day but finally finished both FPs and got HK-51 Now I just need some better gear and a lot of credits in preparation for the Ewok companion

After only about an hour and a half of sitting in the queue and spamming general chat False Emperor is done and I gotta say I really wish you could side with Malgus. Edit: Just saw a youtube vid of the new companion lol
