The new "event" seems to be just create a new character and play the whole game again from scratch. That wouldn't be so bad if I didn't already do that with every class... twice -

I was gifted some GOG games I already have Shadowrun Hong Kong and Dex gone! Door Kickers and Jade Empire I'm not sure if it's possible to split the games as each email only has one code and I haven't tried to redeem them. Anyway, same rules as always but with special preference to anyone that offers to do reviews or LPs. I'll award them out in a day or so if I get any PMs at all Nothing to see here, move along

I made a french onion breakfast for my wife I didn't have a lot of onions so I mixed up onions, shallots, and leeks and cooked them with some garlic, wine, and butter then put that in a cup with a poached egg. Put on some bacon in the same skillet that I cooked the onion mix and then chopped it up and threw a small bit of that in the cup too. Then some beef broth in that same skillet to pick up the leftover flavors (+some spices) and a ladled a bit of that broth on the mix and topped it with a small amount of cheese. Oh, and a side of toast.

Finally got around to watching Preacher. I kinda liked the first 3 episodes so I think I'll stick with it for a while

I was trying to correct some misinformation a couple of friends were spreading but no matter what I said and no matter how many links I provided they just knew better Real simple stuff too like AR not meaning assault rifle and that semi-auto isn't the same as full auto and explaining the difference. Apparently I was also attacking them for corrections like this The kicker is that I'm not even against increased gun control but I do think people should make informed opinions

Spent over an hour today trying to explain to my non gun owning Facebook friends the difference between automatic and semi-auto and the availability of such after seeing some wild accusations thrown about. It did not go well I stuck to the very basic facts but nothing sways "I just know"

In-laws leave back to Estonia on Thursday. I can't imagine that they had a great vacation as all they do is cook and clean but my wife tells me they are having a blast, whatever floats their boat I guess. They did seem to enjoy the road trip and the renaissance festival but the rest of the month they've been here hasn't been all that eventful.

For some reason I just had share this memory of playing NBA 2k14 (I think it was 2k14 because 2k15 had the story where you are undrafted and 2k16 has the stupid Spike Lee story) because after you do the scouting game right before the draft a few interested teams will interview you. I almost always play as a point guard but the Warriors were still interested and in the interview they asked why I would be a good fit or something because they were already solid at the point and my reply was something to the effect of that Steph is great but he hasn't won any titles yet and I could get them there. I think I ended up going to the Bucks I've got money riding on the next game so I hope Green can contain his crotch fetish

We do actually do some research into the farms and companies we buy from. We usually end up paying more but it's worth it to us to try to stay away from factory farms and the like. We're pretty fortunate because luckily for us it's pretty easy to do here in the Denver area as there is a large culture around it. Obviously, we aren't 100% dedicated to it because we eat out a fair bit but almost everything we cook at home is vetted
