At 900k now so I don't doubt it'll be funded when I wake up. I almost feel bad for backing it for so much less this time. I guess I feel I owe them for hanging around their boards all day

Can We Discuss Fog of War?
ShadySands replied to hoohaamaster's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I just want the distance extended out a bit (and attack range too) but otherwise I'm fine with how it was in the first game

I'm also disappointed with how little the Apocalypse Now RPG is pulling in I did back PoE2, which is almost 60% funded already, but only for about half of what I backed PoE for and half of that was for the hoodie

The Consolidated Pillars of Eternity 2 Wishlists Thread
ShadySands replied to jones092201's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)PS a sentient weapon. A souped up soulbound weapon with companion dialog and banter I'm thinking of something like Enserric but more... I dunno, better?

Starting back at level 1?
ShadySands replied to thelee's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Glad to hear we'll be able to change story flags* because I doubt I can do another run to get things to the perfect state I'd want them to be in. As for starting fresh, I'd probably also prefer starting back at level 1 I guess but either way is fine I mean * I hope we can change everything that would be imported and not just the big decisions

The Consolidated Pillars of Eternity 2 Wishlists Thread
ShadySands replied to jones092201's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I think it would be great if they reduced the party size to 5. I thought 4 was too few and 6 was too many. Though I don't think 6 would have been so bad if the combat in the first game was a bit more spread out. It felt so claustrophobic to me anyway. I would prefer spells and ranged attacks to have some more range and the FoW to be pushed out further.

Paypal backing ?
ShadySands replied to obsinaut's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I feel like over the years I've learned more about different countries from a video game website than from actually travelling to other countries. Thanks for that.

Confirmed: Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
ShadySands replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)moderate perplexed. our recollection is shady weren't actual a fan o' poe. perhaps you contribute as a supporter o' obsidian as 'posed to a supporter o' poe? doesn't matter. don't need to explain. your money. your choice. typical we pledge minimum for a digital copy when these kinda crowd funding things become available, but we went higher to be supportive o' obsidian doing more o' this kinda title now and in the future. good luck to obsidian. oh, and if game needs a couple extra quarters to get it right, we want the developers to take the time they require. and try and go easy on using companions as exposition-heavy lore dumps. and... HA! Good Fun! You're mostly correct. I didn't much enjoy the game at launch but I did actually start to like it by the time the second half of The White March rolled out. Still didn't really care for the combat but I felt the rest of the game had been greatly improved. If they can keep on improving then I'll keep on supporting them. Also, I really wanted that Obsidian hoodie

Trump gamed the system well. I'm not mad. I do get upset when people praise rich people for doing the things they criticize poor people for though but now I'm getting off topic Edit-

Anectodal story time. In my little podunk hometown we had more than a few immigrant families who came from more conservative countries and weren't liberal in the slightest so on paper seemed like they should have supported the Republicans. For whatever reasons they said felt unwelcome or unwanted or whatever else so they more or less became Democrats by default, conservative Dems but still Dems. Always seemed like with a little better outreach (and image) they could do much better with immigrants. At least in my small town anyway.- The Kickstarter Thread
Backed I hope it picks up because right now it's not looking so hot. I know it's only been a few hours and there was no hype build up before hand but still- Why Not Both?
ShadySands replied to CursedByLight's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)It might be doable but 50s Americana is a big part of Fallout for me. But I haven't liked any of the new Fallouts so I'm probably not the target audience anyway- Possible new Obsidian game from Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky using the Unreal Engine
