Children exposed to dogs less likely to develop schizophrenia later in life

Obama doesn't surprise me because Democrats overall are more likely to be less hardline and dogmatic when it comes to religion even though they and Republicans are both overwhelmingly comprised of believers. At least according to Pew anyways. Also interesting, to me at least as I have a weird interest in this kinda stuff, is that the Democrats generally have the support of the two most religious racial and ethnic groups and also the the least religious.

I think this might seem that way if you just go by random news stories that get cherry-picked and spread around like crazy, true or not, to get people riled up. It's true that the left has more religious diversity but it is still predominately Christian. Obama is Christian.

In our case it's endless hope and a desire to see what happens before hearing about it. Other than that I really do agree with much of what majestic said. A lot of my attachment to the series is gone so now I think I can just enjoy it as another dumb blockbuster that has little value to me beyond the spectacle.

Regarding Pence and religion, I don't think he has to be able to force his beliefs on us to be bad. I think just trying to push them and directing the national conversation in such a manner is a bad thing. I also disagree with the that the left is completely hostile to religion as it is comprised of some groups that as a whole tend to be pretty religious and it also comprises more people from non-Christian beliefs. Dunno if you saw that 538 article I posted a little while back about Millennials leaving religion and not coming back but it gets into some of the reasons why, though that's not the main point of the article, and how it's Democrats that are mostly not coming back and suggests some reasons behind that.

His personal beliefs don't matter to me at all as long as they stay personal but I don't think they'd stay that way

^Today I've been thinking something similar about Star Wars and the Disney era. The concussion I have helps too. I think that Best of the Worst has surpassed MST3K as my all-time favorite make fun of bad movies show. Thanks to whoever posted that first clip here! I also think that Mac has become one of my favorite guests.

2019 In Games (and Screenshots): a (random) end of year review
ShadySands replied to melkathi's topic in Computer and Console
I haven't played many 2019 games yet and I haven't yet finished any so... yeah The Outer Worlds - Still at the beginning of the second planet. Not a bad game but just not my jam and maybe I'll come back to it some day. 7/10 MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries - Dropped this until mods and patches come out that may fix some/most of my concerns. 6/10 Age of Wonders: Planetfall - I enjoyed the first map I played but campaigns where you bounce between the factions are a big NO in my book. Potential is there but I will probably never touch again which is kinda sad. 5/10 Games that I've played for the first time in 2019 Battle Brothers - This is the only new game that I've played this year that I've had no trouble getting into. Like Hurl, the graphics were the biggest barrier to entry for me as I found them off-putting at first but once I got past that it was easily my favorite new game I played this year. 9/10 Atom RPG - I didn't care for the camera and my game stalled out right after leaving the first area. I keep meaning to go back to it and then I forget it exists. 5/10 I may have missed one or two others and I also bought several others that I still haven't gotten around to yet -

We've just begun that journey It was meconium or whatever it's called that threw me for a loop because in my years in the military janitorial services I thought I'd seen it all

I thought the first ones were the weirdest

Plaid Cymru? Sounds like a Star Wars villain with lumberjack fashion sensibilities Wasn't sure whether to put this here or throw it up on the rando thread but decided here because of the political aspect. Millennials Are Leaving Religion And Not Coming Back I think I've discussed it a bit here before but I've known more than a few people that fell into this category due, in large part, to politics.

Congrats TN!

Had a party and hit the sauce a little too hard

It's probably being purposefully underfunded. I mean, that's what I expect to happen here if we ever get that far.

I kept updating my earlier post with more complaints so I just dropped it Time won't fix all my gripes with the game like spacing and scale and radar being worthless but it can fix some of the other problems like enemies literally spawning right next to you. Best way to play is to load up on brawlers every single mission because almost all of your fights are going to be up close and personal... and there's no melee attacks.

Going to let this one sit for probably a long while

Haven't seen any of that yet but I'm only on the second or third mission depending on whether you count the tutorial or not.
