Got a concussion, good times.- Music: Listening and Sharing

My plan was to sub when the whole thing was out but since I got that D23 discount plan that went out the window. Haven't bothered with the latest episode yet, maybe I'll hold off until the rest is out but so far Disney plus has been a bust for me. I've only watched the Randolorian and a couple episodes of Jeff Goldblum being weird.- The Food Thread
I had some prosciutto, manchego, and a nice tawny port for dinner. Well, it was more like a snack but it's the only thing I ate so..- nfl 2019-2020

Is there even such a thing as a non-political impeachment though? I mean, neither party would go after their president if they controlled the House in this day and age of partisanship. There's no question that wrongdoing occurred and it's more of a question of what do we do about it. Intimating that the whole thing can be considered a farce because politicians are hypocrites doesn't sit right with me as I think we should be better than that. I know we aren't but we should be. Just my 2 pennies anyway- What you did Today: The Story of you
I ended up turning the offer down. The extra money wasn't enough even after negotiating and the only thing I was really liking was the extra benefits and some new challenges but in the end I liked my schedule flexibility and more teleworking more.- What you did Today: The Story of you
Strange day, had a recruiter contact me about moving to a different company even though I'm not looking to leave. Pay is slightly higher and benefits are a little better but I wouldn't have the schedule flexibility that I have now. Glassdoor reviews are middling so I'm not sure that I want to go through with it but they want to move quickly. 🤔- Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Owlcat Games' next isometric Pathfinder RPG
I liked the kingdom management when they finally got it all patched up and I believe they said they're working to improve it even more. No idea if there will be any timers this time around though.- More Hardwood + Round Holes = Lots of Scoring in Basketball 2K19

If that was the case don't you think we'd have a third major party? I'm not an expert but by my recollection the last time a minor party became a major one was when the Republicans replaced the Whigs. I don't see how you can get there without replacing the current left wing party or moving to a ranked and/or proportional voting system. Personally, I would love for the Greens and Libertarians to become major players but I don't see how you're going to get there without some major systemic changes. I'd love to be wrong about this and hopefully you'll prove me so.- Politics First Contact
Problem is that if the Green party takes over from the Democrats then they just become the new Democrats and that ideological purity would disappear real quick. We'd need to move away from our two party system and the major parties have every incentive to stop that. I say this as someone who generally supports the Greens- Politics First Contact
The mother of fake news isn't as catchy as the mother of dragons- Help me understand PC vs console
I also prefer the keyboard and mouse, though I do play sports games with a controller, and the freedom to easily tinker with the game files and even the PC. I'm not against consoles (exclusive loving console fans are another story) but I've never been one to veg out on the couch, and my computer chair is quite comfy, so that aspect of consoles has never appealed to me. Pretty much everything I want to play comes out on PC and I'm not going to buy a console for one or two games as even my favorite sports games are on PC. We had to edit configuration files to get our games to run and we liked it! But seriously, that early tinkering is what led me to my lifelong love of tech and a decent career.- What Are You Playing Now: The Other Thread
I mostly use cleavers on the undead for the decapitation attacks because I tend to lose if they keep getting back up and I only have a couple troops with the bloodthirsty trait. Recently got a couple khopeshes and am loving those.- What Are You Playing Now: The Other Thread
I've also been spending a lot of time getting my troops killed in Battle Brothers. I've reached a point where I can generally win without anyone getting hurt barring an occasional huge group of enemies. I've been leaning heavily on archers and crossbows to whittle down the enemy so fights where that isn't as successful a tactic is where I start to have issues. I'm playing the mode where you are one of the troops and are starting your own company from scratch, whatever that is called. Also still playing a lot of Star Trek Online. My FED Romulan is busy trying to get T6 in Discovery rep and trying out the rep gear. I've heard a lot of good things about the Tilly shield but not sure yet if I want to replace my Comp rep shield. Been working on my Alien KDF guy as well and trying out different BOFF combos since my main is a Romulan and I can't just go all SRO everything but I'm also not a huge fan of the standard 2 tac SROs, a Nausican eng, a Kentari eng, and the potato sci guy.- Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Owlcat Games' next isometric Pathfinder RPG
Great news!!!- Is Obsidian interested in Game Ideas?
I'm probably wrong but I thought someone mentioned, some time ago, that there are some legal reasons why they can't or don't use ideas sent to them or posted publicly. In crowd funded games devs have shown more flexibility with this but even then it's more in the form of listening to feedback on existing systems and whatnot more than sourcing new ideas.- TV and Streaming: The Thread
I saw a few stand-ups and Bill Burr's Paper Tiger was by far the best followed by Iliza Schlesinger and Jim Gaffigan. I've been a fan of Burr for a long time now and even saw him live here in Denver.- A Funny Stuff Thread
I've not heard it unironically since I was a kid A family friend was an old school jazz musician, elder silent generation and long dead by now, and he would often use really obscure slang for things. He's the one that taught me about measuring things in fingers as well as introduced the concept of a lid of marijuana or jazz cabbage.- Politics First Contact
