  1. Fight on Onderon with soldiers of either Valku's side or the Queen's is more like a battle although it looks like a civil war of some kind. Same can be said for fight with merc leader Azkul, assuming if character fought against mercs with Dantooine military and Master Vrook. And although Nihilus's fleet looked impressively vast, there are still fleets that span numbers more than even his fleet. Possibly. Even the Republic numbers look significantly reduced than fleet sent out againt star forge. Understanding of war can vary depending on situation and whatever historical conflicts occurred before present conflict. However, am of opinion that Shadows sounds like reasonable name for next game.
  2. Well, the Rakatans initially existed as an empire. Their race in K1 is divided on Rakatan Prime planet and so warring amongst other groups of their own kind makes them slightly different from Hutts. Hutts did dominate galaxy before, but I cannot imagine them conflicting amongst themselves. After all, mobility is an issue for them, given their bulk and weight. (How do they even make it in time for their own events and appointments with smuggling deals for clients?)
  3. Might also be that the Republic spent much resources on rebuilding Dantooine in general. That would include the Administrator's building too if hit by sith attacks. Same for quite a few other planets not in immediate rim that planets like Telos and Peragus are in. Would tie in well with G0T0's statement that Republic ails somehow due to self-collapse of infrastructure. Mercs are there on instruction from Nar Shaddaa, so they can't be restoring damage to the building.
  4. Well, it is just a few months more between your first playthrough and TSL team patch to be tied up and finished. Between my first game and now, it has been a year plus and has been quite a wait. Could almost imagine playing TSL game several times while knowing that it is incomplete, quite hard to get used to. Restarted several times since storyline was hard to grasp without being complete. P.S. - Way to go, Purgatorio. Halfway there.
  5. I like tuning down volume when it comes to having dialogue with the Selkath at all. Otherwise, voice acting for other characters in game seems ok with me. Especially hearing Malak's insane laughter is enough to know that end is near for him and Revan.
  6. Tusken raiders and sand people. Not to mention banthas. Look much like nomadic species although they don't seem to move around too often. Hutts are probably close to last thing I like as a species.

To Architect: By the way, was thinking more about the Nihilus and Atris battle, more like losing battle where Qui-Gonn fought Darth Maul while trying to escape aboard Naboo shuttle from Tatooine in SW Episode I: TPM. That would leave Atris alive while still having first impression of Nihilus being parasitical in nature. Any thoughts?
  8. Force reversal - effect: Makes other force powers have opposite effect. Thus, force heal will do damage to own character, and Death Field will instead heal enemies while doing damage to health of own character. Force wave will be more like force attraction. DS Insanity will make one sane enough to come back down to earth and think realistically.
  9. Well, first planet of Taris in K1 was interesting. Said before, but continual NPC interaction, differences in some areas (some are darker, and a few others are brighter). That is, until the sith attack the planet and character has to leave it.
  10. Either they are still busy promoting NWN2, or have more problems than expected. (Considering interviews that game devs tend to get, it is hardly surprising) Might be that they are working on further patch, just keep tuned to forums and keep asking.
  11. Hoth is nice. At least in Jedi Academy it was. Lots of underground and hidden bases to look at, while hunting for Cult force users. Revisiting old planets can be fun.
  12. Read before posting K3 related stuff. Can be tiring seeing same thing.
  13. In original game, one could use ranged weapons without having to click on arrow items, click them again into inventory while worrying about when monster attacks. In D2, one has to decide how to run, when to buy arrows and other things. First one was relaxing while interesting. Second was like hell.
  14. Maybe K3 would have a description for name something close to like Shadow of the Republic. That is, what it was able to do and what it could not do, through darkness manifest, to which Sith would capitalise on. Could be that for a start. Architect's description would likely be much more detailed about some story possibilities.
  15. Bandon is probably half as close to Malak's style of fighting although not likely by comparing Jedi capability. Given that former is latter's apprentice, kind of impression I had when fighting as Reven against Bandon is that he used Force drain almost every time, (sometimes even when his life is already at max level) and hardly used any other power, apart from say DS kill. Kreia would have likely taken him down without any weapon in hand.
  16. Taris would be another choice. Atmosphere is welcoming and id divided into various levels with shades of light. There were sewers beneath foundations of city and opportunities to interact with NPCs from time to time. Added to that was having cantinas in a lower level and another at the upper level. Probably not having to rush from one place to another was why this part of K1 was ok. That is, until bombardment of planet by Leviathan's laser bolts.
  17. Try reloading auto saves rather than using those manual save files for game. Might be that auto saves would bring you back to part of game way before glitch occurs, assuming that it happens only sometimes.
  18. And doing that while trying to teach those females basic Force powers, not to mention force bonds. Very impressive, somehow.
  19. Have yet to try a character with unarmed attacks. Most of my games have been using sabers anyhow, but it also means not getting stat bonuses from PC crystal for lightsaber. That said, the Handmaiden and Bao-Dur get bonuses for their unarmed feats. Might probably use either Flurry or Power Attack for combat feats if I can ever get myself to reinstall K2.
  20. Maybe belief that Nihilus is prisoner is due to not knowing background and originating homeworld of sith lord. Or perhaps something happened after Nihilus left Malachor. May have visited some other planets not in game story, and perhaps home planet, if he did have any at all.
  21. Coruscant. Quite obvious, being core world in KotOR. Was hardly featured in K2, apart from scene of Exile with Jedi Council. Would like to see more of its landscape and cities in third game. And considering that potential major battles could happen there. Dxun (not really a planet), but there could have been more paths or quests for this part of game. Mentioned this before.
  22. Level character up to levels 4-6 and hold character levels till Exile reaches Malachor part of game. Which means that party characters will likely stay at around these levels as well.
  23. Concept of Malak could have been modified idea of vampire monk from NWN's HotU. Both can somehow be associated with ability to drain life away from others or sucking away force. And somehow, it seems also true for Nihilus, excessively. Almost like being pulled into black hole.
  24. On old comp, after clearing half the refugee sector of Exchange thugs, and as game was lagging previously, gameplay became a bit smooth. It was hard for game to run without being a bit slow with both the Exchange thugs and Serrocco war veterans still alive. And game ran twice as easily when both groups were killed, although half of it was not needed. It is probably the Serrocco veterans that will become hostile as long as just one container of theirs has items taken by Exile character. That is, hostility as a whole group.
  25. ...you program K2's TSL music theme as ringtone for your mobile. ...you start ordering pizza for dinner and get a wall poster of Kreia that is more than half the size of a door in your house for free.
