What I'd like to see in POE2 is resting being almost exclusively done on the ship. Parties can carry a few camping supplies (say one or maybe two on POTD) for dungeons and other land exploring, but the rest of the time, you can only rest in inns or your ship. Also, when resting outside of an inn or your ship, you might be surprised by enemies. In POE, I felt that there was really no drawback to resting in dungeons, added to the fact that most of them had camping supplies laying around. Make it more of a strategic decision to rest...

I'm looking forward to all them... I think my favourites are in order (so far) : Ydwin (potentially), Maia Rua, Xoti and Serafen. I think Serafen is going to be real cool, but I wonder if he will have as much character depth as the others. I have no idea what to expect from Maia, so its interesting. Blue guy, well, since we don't know anything about him... Sidekicks seem ok and a bit quirky. That being said, I really hope Ydwin makes it as a full character.

Some wrote about a pacifist weapon earlier in the thread (cant find who) and I think that is an amazing idea. Really strong souldbound weapon that gives you **** when you use it. Either that or talking firearm. In any case, I know Obsidian is going to do a great job with this. Brenecke just seemed way too excited about it

The last two companions represent major factions, so they might be less edgy cool than Ydwin (who I think has potential to be awesome) but are still very necessary. I'm looking forward to their personalities and agendas as much as their relationships with other companions. Pallegina-Maia-Seraphen has potential to blow up big time. You just throw in Ydwin for ***** and giggles .... Ultimate party

I agree there's good opportunity here to expand on the whole animancy concept and add more of it to the game. Ydwin (and an animancy skill, I expect) is a neat way to do that. That being said, I didn't mind how they treated animancy in POE. Yes, it was one-sided (negative) but it was a cool introduction of science in a fantasy setting. POE2 should be much more interesting though

I also liked the split health\endurance mechanic in POE1. Same thing for the per rest\encounter distribution of abilities. Then again, I'm willing to let the devs try something new if they feel its better for the game. Josh's description of the pacing for resting (injuries vs empowerment of abilities) seems interesting, although more complicated than the previous one... In any case, I'm happy to see that he is open to changing it, depending on our feedback.
