  1. And the US government probably had ties to it in *some* way...
  2. Azure: Really? ROTK!? Either your chinese or a history buff Dimond: you have yet to meet Anonib. Admittedly they actually have several subboards with some really wierd topics.
  3. Sounds like the hundred years war video game from Koei... Think the seminel Dynasty Warriors but with guns, lots of guns, and joan of arc.
  4. meh... could have been better, but then any day I work could have been a heap better... now to study to become a irrigation district guy and start earning more than my 4 year degree brother.
  5. actually kafty, Blizzard made at least one event that would change the world by openining a certain dungeon.
  6. Elohim, Allah, Haile Selassie, Shiva, Zeus, Jupiter, the goddess, Gud, Shang Ti, Shen, Tian Zhu, Brahman, Akal Purakh, Ra, Xwede, or Cao Dai might get mad at me if I show favoritism towards your god over them. Also, I feel that accepting Christ might interfere with my path to enlightenment and I will never become Buddha. aren't Jupiter, and Zues one and the same? Atre, You haven't met asshat christians but you probably have met asshats who SAY they are christian when asked.
  7. actually no he wasn't... Exar Kun was more powerful (and did a heck of alot better at bringing the republic to the brink of collapse) and Ulic was extremly powerful until his lover cut him off from the force.
  8. you really don't understand how "the Government" works... even school kids know the basic separation o' powers stuff. also, you surely not thinks a thread on an obsidian message board would result in clarification by... whom? you got clarification from Gromnir and others 'bout what is current situation regarding 1st Amendment establishment clause application to use of "god" by State. congratulations. oh, and God is not universal accepted as christian, not by a long shot. HA! Good Fun! I wanted the clause clairified... not the seperation of power. Admittedly the seperation is really unbalanced right now with the patriot act making the president into a tyrant with a leash. Also the justice department is SUPPOSED to be non political... we see how well that turned out. Anyway, if you ask "what is god" to 10 people on the street 9 of them will probably say somthing along the lines of "well.. he's god, he made the universe and causes all the crap to happen according to the christians" You say allah and somthing similar pops out with Arabs instead of Christians. you say Buddha and you get "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." then the person makes an excuse and runs off to research buddhist philosophy.
  9. SHOGO The Mobile Armor Division for me because I
  10. this'll be interesting. Hopefully Project Aces will try and get the long awaited Multiplayer in there.
  11. Fun. The story is a big thing about me playing (usually in certain games if I get annoyed enough with it I just look up spoilers and then go to the next game. This is usually RPGS).
  12. My purpose in starting this thread was actually to get the amendment clarified. I thought that it would cause the Government to abstain from officially using a religious denomonational language in legislation, And currently GOD is universally considered Christian rather than just Deity.
  13. Here I was lead to believe that Mary Mag was a hooker who followed jesus because he showed her the light. Not his sister. Edit: changed a word for decorum.
  14. according to my work comp it'll retail at about 29.99
  15. The Establishment clause of the Constitution of the united states says that the government will make no law promoting one religion over another, Or propmoting a sect over another. then in 1954 the Lesgislative branch passed some legislation that added the words under god. God is a word used to define a divinity, however the christians use it to define their god and ONLY their god. So by using "under god" in our pledge are we promoting one religion over another or not?
  16. rule of thumb, wait a year before picking up the new system.

    What if...

I think both of these would be true in some respect. I'd probably start posting at Newsarama more again or Relic Entertainments.
  18. I think that Tie Fighter officially made it by being on IGN's top 25 list...
  19. 1-9 2-1 3-2 4-10
  20. back to yee olde (origional) avvie... after this I copied meta with Helios then Icarus then came a slew of avvies. It's kinda scary. I googled Calax and got a chewie pic.

    Books

Yeah, it says something about that on the cover. I wonder if it's any good. Based on the fact I've heard nothing about it, I'm guessing not. huh... you must've missed the hype blitz. but I've never seen a full episode given that most shows on scifi try to copy either Stargate or Battlestar.
  22. A good Steampunk game would be nice... Like Rise of Legends, just without Lawrence of Arabia and the Jaffa coming in to crash the party. But the massive towers of steam, dirigibles, popguns, Clockwork machinations and so forth would be extremly interesting to play with in an RPGish setting.
  23. I remember Mechwarrior 2 had a book that was an inch thick, and had thumb prints and notes in the margins. Man, mech 2 should be on that list. ALL mecha combat derives from Mech 2.
  24. you mean 12 am... Otherwise theres only three hours of school in that equasion.
  25. It'd be interesting to see a game set in (and this is actually IN not a rip off of) the black companies little world. Last time anyone did anything close it was Myth. Somthing set in a world like torment only instead of each world being alike you'd have each world be at different technological and mystical points (so one could be high fantasy, one could be steam punk, one could be cyberpunk.... and so on and so forth until the player ultimatly decide which world "wins") And finially a dragonlance game.
