  1. I think he was reaching and tried to put in Clone wars. The tank game where they said "we're going to fight a war with jedi... and DEAD SITH in TANKS!" But Tie Fighter needed to be in that poll.
  2. and my friggin birthday...
  3. I think one of the major things that threw everyone off in the first one (given this is supposed to be a movie for children) is the fight is a corprate dispute between a monopoly and a customer. Then you add a little gas to the mix with "wait, vader had a wife who ruled a planet that we'd never heard of?" and finially you get the little wooden boy trying to romance a girl who is probably 6 years older than him (but has the oddest ability of not getting older in those interviening years). Ep two everyone was put off by a romance that would make Kevin smith cringe. (the war on geonosis was fun) Ep 3 brought back a little of the magic but didn't do itself much help with anakin murdering children and the corporate heavyweights and only crying for the CEO's. Ian Mcdimand did ok but I think his lines made him seem a little bit of an idiot "darth plagueious was good I tell you GOOD!" "but then why is he called plagueious? It's got PLAGUE in the friggin name!"
  4. wow... this thread is like the zombie that wouldn't die
  5. watch, in one of their games theres going to be a small war going on between two groups, the Volos' and hades desiples. It'll be decided by the player in a sidequest.
  6. One of my personal problems with Jade is that It'll buffer all my mouseclicks so I watch my guy do a combo and one or two extra strikes into thin air (because combos always end with knockback). Plus the open palm closed fist system needs to change, if it's good and evil the system is great, but when it's "save a town or kill a town" and both of the paths are considered viable by EVERYONE then you need to make it "save a town, save a town but for an exuberant price" or somthing similar.
  7. well I did just see that my store had a game that said that "what if hitler had been assainated?" "what if a new regime came to power?" "What if world war two was fought with battlemechs?" (not kidding) and then there's ubersoldier.

The Black Company by Glenn Cook Best Line Ever written: "Evil is relative Annalist. You can't hang a sign on it. You can't touch it or taste it or cut it wit ha sword. Evil depends on where you are standing, pointing your indicating finger. Where you stand now, because of your oath, is opposite the Dominator. For you he is where your Evil lies." Too bad the series goes way downhill after the third book but fortunatly the last book is insanly good.
  13. You do realize that it's any customer service person's job to be nice to you right? And actually they are breaking the rules. PC games it's "once you open it it's yours and can only be returned for a dupe of the exact same game". Console games you get a 7 day money back/Satisfaction guarrentee,30 defective replacement (we tend to bend this rule like a willow)
  14. Yep, and travelling to the Moon was also fantasy some while ago, just like flying or having a 'world wide web' Socalled sci-fi is fantasy what is much more likely to become true than elf mages, but it is still fantasy. You
  15. another reason manga dominates is because It's got stories for more than one agegroup and gender. Civil war was disliked because most of the readers felt that Millar took what he thought the characters should be (their ultimate templates) and used those instead or using the "normal" personalities.
  16. Most Eb/Gamestops are run by a manager and his top five friends. Thus if you don't like what they like they get to harrass you about it. Yes, Gamestop employees are aloud to "rent" games for four days. And yes, we do sell opened games as new (the last game in the store is always open with the case on the shelves and the disk in a drawer/back room). If the game comes back broken or damaged then the employee just bought it. The worst customers at Gamestop are moms, they walk in, walk up to the front counter and say simply "I'm looking for a game" No description, nada. Meanwhile their kids are running around like maniacs and interrupting mommy every thirty seconds saying they want game X or Y, then they find the demo's and play that until mommy says it's time to go, THEN you get a 6 year old having a temper tantrum.
  17. You realize that almost everyone thats on posted here has done all of these except #4 at least once even if they never set foot in the store? <second job at gamestop.

  22. Why not take the Kurds, Isralies, Irish, Slavs et al and put them all in one country, call it ethnikostan, then let them sort themselves out? (Before you all attack me, it's an onion) In all seriousness, Iraq isn't the most fantastic place to practice religion, but then neither is the deep south of america or Israel. Right now the situation in Iraq is one of controlled civil war. "controlled" in that we don't have guys openly digging trenches or bombarding eachother with rockets out in the open and fighting it like a conventional war, instead we see a guerrilla war against "american Oppressors" of the Iraqis. I think one think that should be taken into account is that if you try and give freedom to a beaten people, those people will often fluster and try to get back under an oppressor, OR they will consider everyone an oppressor and fight everything.
  23. Graw 1 or 2
