Thanks. That's all helpful info. EDIT: I'm beginning to wonder if I should save the cash this year and invest the money in a personal trainer/physio.

Ok, so I've narrowed options down to these two, which actually seem comparable to my cretinous ignorance: Novatech slimbook - lightweight, customisable OS, BUT ugly and possibly underpowered http://www.novatech.co.uk/laptop/range/novatechnfinityn1405 (roughly £800) Alienware mini gaming laptop - shiny, gaming designed, BUT twice 1kg heavier, not including extras, reviews indicate need to upgrade baseline screen. (roughly £1000) ~~~ EDIT: I had a look at the one mkreku mentioned. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zenbook-UX301LA-13-3-inch-Touchscreen-Ultrabook/dp/B00FC55URG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390477878&sr=8-1&keywords=zenbook £1400 for a 13" screen!!! (!!!) Like the design and weight, but seriously, WTF?

Interesting idea. But ultimately this penalty for being hit and hurt will nudge players towards high agility, high armour characters. Otherwise all those inevitable biffings they get as lvl 1 goons will dog them for the rest of their careers.

playing "evil"

Local 'court' orders woman raped. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-25855325 Evil in my book. Socially constructed, certainly. But still evil. Much as sati was. Napier, William. (1851) History Of General Sir Charles Napier's Administration Of Scinde. (P. 35). London: Chapman and Hall -

Makes sure you communicate it as coldly and efficiently as possible - just up, throw it at them and done. Given that you're presenting something I'd imagine you also have something worth saying. Unless you have a burning need to waste your time, I suppose You are forgetting that most people don't hate their job the way a puppy hates shoes. Work out what you need to say, gather any props you need to get the point across, stand up and make your points while ensuring your audience don't lose interest. Coldly and monotonously hammering away at top speed renders the entire thing pointless. Because people will realise you hate them, and assume you're a spiteful s***. With all due respect to whatever your financial situation is, you need to move jobs, Malc. Because your job is turning you into an arrogant wanker who thinks he's above everyone around him.

Foot in mouth? I do this still. ~~ EDIT: I don't know why anyone would deliberately pretend to despise their audience. The best cure for nervousness about getting on your hind legs and speaking ...is having something worth saying.

Always remember: most people don't care how you did something, they want to know what they get out of it. And of the people who do care how you did it, only 10% of them will understand how. And that 10% will still be more interested in why it matters. You could always try pointing out that what they get out of it is something done properly ( i.e. how you did it) but for reasons I've never understood, this doesn't work.

I think the most dangerous boss should be hidden up your own ass. I have found this to be the case throughout life.

A good jacket is not as important as good boots. But it's a close second. EDIT: Tired napping on my weights bench. Fell asleep for an hour. This is clearly the future.

Managed another good night's sleep. Obscurely proud of myself.

i heard on the news this morning that research has shown that curvy women are smarter and have smarter babies. If we are demanding curvy women in games, isn't that a demand for smart women? And if it is, then aren't we actually supporting female power?

maybe you could make some kind of wall chart to help others?

I have selflessly checked the first 5. Ghandi can check the rest.

That should be "maiyay mum". Rising tone on each syllable. ~~ I think there should be such a thing as a romantic hip-flask. For when couples are sitting somewhere romntic looking, and the guy needs a drink to put up with it. It should therefore contain enough for two people, and look right somehow. LC, you're our sniper in the treeline when it comes to female stuff. How would this hip-flask look?

Well, I haven't been sleeping normal hours for several weeks. That must be many thousands of extra calories burned right there. Slept ten last night though. I feel a bit weird, but good.

I just tried lying on my weights bench. Instantly fell asleep for ten minutes. Like a sip of cool water. Don't do sleep deprivation for giggles. In fact don't do ANYTHING that makes you hallucinate . It's your brain failing. You do not want your brain to fail. Although I guess it can be instructive to understand properly how fragile reality can be. I've been sleep deprived, with the worst case being working on a film shoot. All that happened was I shut up and got on with my work, stopped feeling pain, started smoking cigars. Now I put it like that maybe I just need to stop sleeping.

I think Patricia Hernandez might more usefully be deployed assisting actual rape survivors in Syria.

Are individual people plagued by weaknesses in order that they have to turn to others for help, binding society together, and making us collectively stronger?

Thanks for the tip, but I tried the classic curry, and that didn't work. I was less bothered by the constant back pain as when I sneezed and my arms hurt. I am determined to not check whether I have slept on a carving fork. Since I can't just ignore the day, I decided to see what work I could get done. Fortunately, some goddamn GENIUS was way ahead of my thinking. This is actually helping.

Give the guy time.

We've done write ups of campaigns in the PnP section. I don't think it needs XP though. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/54912-a-roleplaying-campaign-blog-whfrp/ http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/63730-an-overdoes-of-adventure-zat-zatico-ke-zat-prequel/
