  1. Yeah, Lezz. I mean just one. The artwork for some is really pretty cool. Plus you'd be instantly recognisable to other nerds. And in answer to Melkathi, Steam already do merchandise. It would be the IP share with the devs that would be the issue. But I'd imagine that since they created the damn achievements just for Steam they must be generally amenable.
  2. **** me. It looks like SoDOFF might actually get playing something. I had to start a new team with the Chaos edition, so I've gone Amazons. Circa 1400 point just now. Am up for playing head to head any time you chaps see me on Steam.
  3. I need to grab a bunch of new t-shirts (as happens about once a year), and an idea struck me. Why doesn't steam offer t-shirts for sale, emblazoned with achievements you actually have? And ONLY those achievements you actually have?
  4. While I can see their point, doesn't this just undermine the pragmatic argument for legalisation? Selfish wankers.
  5. It would. Depends a lot on the place, one old uni mate got shunned by his entire team when he interned at a place - they'd go for lunch without him, barely speak to him, etc. Not much to learn from an experience like that. I would suggest that shows a lack of task focus. A strong team goal allows integration to depend on your contribution towards that goal, not what shoes you are wearing, or how old you are, etc. A weak task focus shows poor leadership. So, while I'm pointing the finger at your mate's team leader, I'd also suggest that it's hardly grounds to despair of internships. Typically interns get assigned to the most wily leaders in a group, because they give cheap effort.
  6. LOL@Chippy I don't believe I have EVER played as an elf because _I_ associate them with munchkins. But you're right: ineffectual middle management is much more scary.
  7. It strikes me that there are parallels between this notion of a progression and 'drama' theories of negotiation. I wonder, therefore, if this similarity doesn't imply some tension between two parts of the mind during grief. They have to reach a negotiated accommodation in order to resolve the crisis.
  8. Cheeky ****er. Don't swan around assuming I don't know anything about guns! I know about t evolution of the sodding assault rifle. Why else in t name of all that's holy would I even know what the hell a StG was chambered with?
  9. 'Fraid not, old boy. So you can put down that book on cooking human flesh by Delia Smith.
  10. Because that's what all civil wars need: more rapists and drug dealers.
  11. The lesson I learned from this was to get drunk naked, and not to shave my back.
  12. Glad to hear she's OK. Have you checked for CCTV nearby? Some householders and shops have cameras when you wouldn't automatically expect them to.
  13. I swear I was told the 7.92 was too powerful. Although checking the muzzle velocities and energy imparted I don't actually get it. *shrug* Well, that's me learned. EDIT: I'm digging myself a hole here, but what the hell. Can't get schooled without looking stupid. In fairness to my unidentifiable advisor, after reading this comparison it occurs to me that the StG would have seemed a lot punchier than the 9mm parabellum of the MP40. It's also twice the muzzle velocity of the Thompson SMG. I can imagine that in the hands of an Allied soldier expecting something like the above, the StG would feel wrong.
  14. Can't get the link to work embedded, but I assure you this is one of the funniest things I've seen in ages. Mainly because it's pretty much what I'm like after a couple of brandies. From Series three of the Fast Show, it's a re-watch for me after many years. http://youtu.be/l2dd4iYe1vM?t=23m15s If the link isn't working properly, go to 23 minutes, 15 seconds. EDIT: ref the post by Azdeus, hopefully this one will be funny even if you aren't a native English speaker.
  15. Those are just a bunch of funtwits from Brighton out on the lash. Not chavs. Nice touch confusing Ireland with the UK, btw. See I knew you could do better if you put your mind to it.
  16. Given that the problem with the '44 was that it fired a round that was far far too large, wouldn't fitting a .22 rob it of any real point? Besides, I find all Nazi kit a bit creepy. With the exception of the k98 (which I associate with WW1) and the StuG variants (which I think look like pigs).
  17. I've just dug deep and stumped up the five quid for t Chaos edition, so I'm on the same version as you buggers.
  18. I'm not sure it's a fair comparison. The whole way those chaps play is based on the assumption that they'll be wearing a load of body armour, and so is the guy they're playing against. So I'd expect the tackles to be totally inappropriate in both directions.
  19. What are super-heavy elements? Isn't it basically every element above those occurring naturally or something? Oh, OK.
  20. Interesting one, stumbled across. Replica of the HK 416 pistol, made by Walther, and chambered for .22 rimfire. http://www.waltherarms.com/products/tactical-rimfire-replicas/416-pistol/
  21. Isn't that from the robot butler in Fallout?
  22. *stifles comment like a man trying to force a goat into a cardboard box, when it really doesn't want to be in a cardboard box*
  23. Two observations: - Great photo. I can practically smell cold wool, and damp asphalt. (In contrast to my last photo which just looks unreal) - Is that an SKS?
  24. As a tangential but related aside, I would observe that all the time I spent in my teens and twenties chasing girls was completely 100% worthwhile. If any of you younger chaps are wondering if you should have 'better' priorities, the answer is 'no'.
