What you did today
I had a dream last night where I lead a commando unit of bikini babes, and Han Solo, to infiltrate and disrupt a conference of high level stormtrooper generals. My favourite detail was - apart from the bikinis - that a passing stormtrooper officer spotted my uniform wasn't right, and rather than raise the alarm(which is what would happen in the films) he demanded to know who my officer was so he could be punished for not checking my kit. Obviously I couldn't think of any officers' names, but while I was thinking he complimented me on not ratting out my boss! Took me to stores, and issued me with the right stuff. I felt almost guilty about being a rebel. If I hadn't woken up I believe I'd have defected with all my bikini babes. Anyway, my dream was better than yours, Ros.

No such thing as evil - top trumped
Dude had evil thoughts, and actions inasmuch as he actually kinda tried to procure a kid but is not himself inherently evil. (Is probably horribly broken.) Justice system should stick him in a psych ward and try to fix him. Maybe he can't be fixed in which case leave him there, but hey, maybe he can. A tin opener with solder stuck in the gears is horribly broken. A man who wants to abduct, rape, and eat children is evil. The distinction is not merely semantic. Evil implies a reaction far beyond broken. My question to you is what you would have done if he maintained it was only one child he wanted to do it to, and having done so his curiosity was satisfied.

Your definition, as expressed above, seems to indicate that you don't really think any of the people on the forum are real, or have any significance at all. It seems to me you could have an equally effective, and substantially more efficient, exchange of views with your left foot.- Update #64: Developer Q&A with Kaz
- What you having for dinner tonight?
Tried to make jam, but used too much pear and apple as filler, and now have several jars of (delicious) fruit compote. Change to normal procedure was to heat the cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a separate non-stick pan before use. This 'warms/activates' (according to my source) the spices. It certainly made the result tasty. I have been eating it on toast anyway, but think t would be best over ice-cream or with a baked custard.- Syrian civil war
- Beyond good and evil
The OP raises an interesting point which we have looked at before on the forum. I think Obsidian does a consistently good job of questioning culturally subjective rights and wrongs. I'd highlight New Vegas, and the entire New California Republic for that role. However, I reject utterly the notion that morality is transigent and flexible, when it comes to real values and standards. The man who does otherwise is not a man I'd care to depend on. Or indeed have much to do with at all. I've been giving it some thought and the analogy which springs to mind is the question of the loaded gun. If I walk into a room and find a gun we can debate whether it is loaded or unloaded. We can even check. But the correct way to _behave_ is to treat all guns as if they are loaded. Just so, we can debate the morality of abducting and eating children, but the correct response is to reject and prosecute anyone who does it.- No such thing as evil - top trumped
