I find it intriguing that the site has a disclaimer that reads "This site uses online satellite imagery from Google Maps and MSN VIrtual Earth without permission..."

Another aspect to forums is that sometimes the 'regulars' - assuming there are any - run out of new/unique serious topics to post and thus the chatty threads become more prevailent. Or the board gets slower. See it happen all the time.

I just had to post a new pic so I could 'justify' complaining about how time consuming it can be to re-install your OS and all programs. Musc about sums it up for me too. Fantasy is what (many) people are used to, and they start to cry if the usual stuff isn't there. Dragons, damsels, fireballs, the same classes and spells etc. I've seen games that are more sci-fi oriented, but it still amounts to a similar gameplay concept - fighter(soldier)/magic(chemical)/archer(grenader). And they usually - not always of course - don't sell as well. Thus I'd assume business wise it's about that aspect. Consumer-wise, perhaps players tend to associate tech/guns/space with shooters/action/strategy and not RPG's out of long habit. And as we all know, some habits die hard.

...you can just say 'no'/insult him when he asks you about maybe joining forces or whatever come on line he uses after the intro dialogue. I've done that before. Although I'd then go back later to get him, before leaving the planet, so I dont' know if he just shows up on the Ebonhawk regardless, like GoTo or something. To skip his intro dialogue entirely yeah you'd need a mod or something.

Most threads in this forum are pretty silly.

I guess that's my problem....I like to be as equal as possible (I know they're 'just' animals' but you know what I mean)....I don't see myself as master of any living thing. There are a few breeds of dogs that I wouldn't mind sharing my life with...but it would be too much work to train them & keep them from being lonely all the time, for me. Not to mention I'd want to have a much bigger house/yard than I do now.

Most people raise dogs to be too slavish/not independent. You have to spend a lot of time training them if you want a well-behaved mutt. Dogs drool. They poop all over everything. They bark at everything. I've had cats that fetch, come when they're called, and that are absolutely loyal to 'me' without much training effort. Cats rule. :D Although wolf-puppies are the bomb. :D

Typically, I don't find long hair on men attractive. Especially men with long hair who seem like they never wash or brush their hair. There are exceptions, of course. Fabio isn't one of them. My husband prefers shorter hair on women. Thus, I occasionally cut my hair pretty short. But I personally like my hair longer. Partly because I'm too lazy to cut it very often & my hair grows really fast. Longest it's been is to the top of my butt...shortest is top of the neck w/feathered sides.
