  1. That's such a shame. Even if you couldn't actually train them with forms etc. it would have been much more intriguing than the silly training kneel/voiceover/swingcamera around/repeat-instant Jedi bit you get now.
  2. I haven't seen anyone mention this (maybe I missed it...) but...each NPC has a few 'training' voice lines. I'm assuming this is when you turn them to Jedi and you 'train' them - since I haven't seen any such scenes or dialogue, I assume these were also cut? Or is there something to do to trigger them - like be male, which I haven't done yet. Or is my game fast-skipping over them... For example, Atton: "All right I'm game, what did you want to show me?" "I didn't know this training thing was going to be so much work." And Disciple: "Very well, what did you want to teach me?" (that just cracks me up for some reason, coming from pompous knowitall Disciple)
  3. EDIT - some might consider this mildy spoilish so I'm putting it in spoiler quotes. The Exchange meeting is triggered by Anyway....just relating that....nothing to do with people missing etc.
  4. Mine trick works on the PC, I imagine it still works on the Xbox. It's easier and you can do it anytime you want - and at higher chr lvls it's probably quite a bit faster - but you will get sick of setting and taking back up mines.
  5. What hive said, only female. I know I'm missing out on some of the game that way...and I made a male Exile...but I just don't want to play him. I've played males in many games, doesn't bother me...but for some reason in this game it does. heh
  6. Atton kicks butt either as ranged or jedi. The one thing about NPC turned to Jedi's is that some of them (not all - depends on what you want them to be) tend to fare better as Jedi if you haven't leveled them up a lot in their original class first. My first try I waited too long and Atton was great with 2 blasters but wasn't very good at melee (passable but nothing compared to Exile or my other melee tank). The 2nd try I kept him to a lvl 8 Scoundrel and then turned him Jedi - so now he's still great with his blasters and also good with his sabers. I think he gets less feats as a Scoundrel then as a Sentinel so you get more feats if you start early Jedi. But maybe I'm wrong there, don't know the mechanics very well. Disciple's the other way around...he works better (melee) if you level him first in his original class for a while and then to Jedi, since counselors don't get nearly as many feats.
  7. She says that regardless of influence etc. It's just DS/LS related. I got the same answer and I had max influence with him DS. He expresses more irritation over you being Dark so it's not surprising that he'd leave you (even if he loved you) if you became the next Sith Lord or whatever...I guess. heh Edit - and I loved making Disciple feel the dark force spots. Mwahahaha.
  8. The comparison of her to Bau-Dur seems apt to me. I don't see either her or bau-dor as weak (in character) but I don't really like the mysterious silent suffering personna. Although I did like Drizzt, in those FR novels, so perhaps it's something else. I can't put my finger on it. Just doesn't appeal.
  9. I've loved David Warner since I saw The Omen ages ago. Great voice, great character actor.
  10. Actually the bonus you get depends on your class, or something.
  11. Not very spoilish but I'm playing it safe. I'm just noticing a lot of very tiny difference between Light/Dark. Nothing important or of any consequence, but interesting to me for idle speculation about the motivations of the writers. Disciple if you're Dark - "Very well. What is it you wish to know?" Disciple if you're Light - "That is hardly surprising. What do you wish to know?" I'd be interested in any other little bits like that. ----------------------------------------------------------- Ruminating on the above a little: Why is 'very well' Dark and 'hardly surprising' Light? 'very well' - a polite formal acquiescence, that I understand. He's bothered by my bad skin but still respects me enough to be moderately polite etc. But the other - why is he hardly surprised? That sounds even less friendly & more mocking than 'very well,' and he's supposed to adore your Lightness. .....this stuff runs through my head in the wee hours of the morning all the time...
  12. The holocron stuff, including Disciples bits with it. They keep on talking about them, and you get this whole dialogue with him about it and how if you ever find any he'll look at them etc and it goes nowhere. The Goto/Remote bit, as well. I'll skip Atton's death - absolutely great scene for a novel or maybe a movie, no argument there, and maybe that's why so many wish it was included, because it sounds great in the mind, but I think in the game, with the limited treatment it would probably recieve, it would have just pissed me off/seemed cheap somehow.
  13. Favorite - Atton...although at this point Disciple comes in a close 2nd for me. Least Favorite - Hanharr as well. Just not my kind of character at all. I haven't played as a male Exile yet, so I don't know about handmaiden.
  14. Hahaha!! Yeah...that's it...he sounds spaced out all the time. Like his lines should've been liberally laced with 'cool' and 'far out's'.
  15. I liked his character well enough, although I didn't use him much. But I'm one of the few who doesn't like his voice. It's too...soft and placating.
  16. Yeah, that was the first (and only) time where I was confounded by difficulty and had to reload several times. I found it easiest to go solo (place your party waaaaay away down the path you came in on), use a lot of energy shields, and use a grenade to attract only one or two forward at a time till it was thinned enough for the whole party to handle. Then I didn't have any problems at all.
  17. I found it. It's on the play CD, not on the hard drive...at least with the default install. If you open it in notepad, the first half is a lot of symbol garbage, the bottom half is readable, with everything mashed together into one long run on thing. Difficult to read, but interesting.
  18. Where do you find this file? All I see is a dialogs.bif
  19. I disliked that tons myself. It's one thing to make me pick different members than my preference in a split mission (dxun) and another to take over my choice completely.
  20. Mine's set to 0 and I can still use printsreen to take a screenshot that gets place in that folder. Honestly, I think my swkotor2.ini does aboslutely nothing - the game completely ignores it when I've tried to do any of the stuff people talk about.
  21. Yeah..if it was well written I'd love a novel where you get to see more of what's going on in everyone's head, or something. But of course...most books based on games aren't very good... And...glad it irrelevant because I don't want to go through that whole tree again. But it was cool to see his creepy side come out like that. heh
  22. You end it where he's positive about the Force (he just says 'train me, I want to feel it again') or where he's negative - ie, negaitve is where he says he felt the Force once and it weakend him, and asks you if there's someone he needs to kill to prove himself. " I'm playing Light, and oddly I can get his negative responses without taking any DS point hits. I'm wondering if this might have had repercussions towards those cut-out scenes and goes nowhere in the final. I want a kotor2 novel....
  23. I had to go look for it... You the player: I just want to play some pazaak. Atton: I think maybe you should let me....handle...this one. (fade out) Female pazaak player: That was...magnificent. Thank you for such a stimulating game.
  24. No...it's just in the main swkotor folder, not one of the sub-folders...At least, on my XP-pro system. they're tga files - K2_00001.tga K2_00002.tga etc.
  25. If you used the PrintScreen key it's in the programfiles/lucasarts/swkotor2 folder........
