  1. As I recall members an't delete a topic (even if it's your own) once it's been replied to.
  2. I've tried using a lower option and it sounds awful to my ears. Maybe it has something to do w/my soundcard or 3-speaker system or whatever. *tosses up hands* I'm no sound expert.
  3. I don't know. Like I said, I don't use any special program, just WinXp's soundrecorder. I pick the MPEG format to convert to (some people have trouble opening .wma format) and choose the highest option, which for whatever reason, on my menu 56kbit is the highest value. There's a slight drop in sound-quality from the original Miles uncompressed .wav file but not a lot - usually barely noticable, although the female voices tend to show it most. The original files really aren't that high quality to begin with, and some of them are bad recordings (especially some of the cut stuff) - the sound/tone varies a lot per file sometimes - indications of different recording sessions, heh.
  4. Yeah you have to right click on the image to get the permalink url on my site. this picture is better for the purpose anyway, cause it's a close-up instead of a wide angle game-environment imitation shot.
  5. They already have....Van Disel. Just stick horns on his head and he's good to go.
  6. I was noticing that myself the other day - Atton seems to look worse Darkside than the others - his spots are generally darker, anyway. I wonder why...must be vibes from his Jedi-killing days.
  7. Certain angles and poses Atton reminds me of Mr. Matrix Reeves. When Atton yawns, he reminds me of X-Files Muldar (I also think he has Muldar's nose....) So far none of the others have really struck me with a resemblance to anyone 'real'.
  8. Hmm...strangely, I can't think of a 'best' or even a 'coolest' off the top of my head. But the Exile's personal crystal would have to up there, if only because it's not...random! :D I just know I'll think of 5 things a couple hours from now...
  9. Feel the love....we all love y'all for all the effort & dedication being put into this. *dances with eagerness and poorly contained but excited impatience*
  10. Atton's initial mining tunnel lines including his "find the miners outfit? Damn!" lines (female Exile). http://crimsonkeep.com/downloads/kotor2sound/at-distract.wav (214kb) HK-50's recitation of what happened to the maintence officer on Peragus - "my leg, oh no my leg!" http://crimsonkeep.com/downloads/kotor2sound/ohnomyleg.wav (355kb) ..still no Di battlecries for me, damnit.
  11. Maybe Bao-Dur uses that red paint to hide the wrinkles....
  12. Does anyone know where Disciple's battle-cries are located??? They're not in his GBL folder, and they're not in the multiple Disc_Enc folders, and I can't find them anywhere else. I click and I click and click....it's driving me nuts. Someone tell me, my collection of Di-voice bits isn't complete w/out his amusingly annoying battle-hollers!
  13. Oh, I forgot - another concept/theory is that the more knowledge a culture aquires, the longer time it takes to educate the next generation. But this does not have to equal a longer 'perceived childhood' period. It just does in our culture. And I'll stop now since this is way off the topic. :D
  14. That's false logic to assume that because it's common sense that it follows that a cultural attitude must change. It's also false logic to think that it requires being years and years older to be able to learn that physical things like poking sticks at rattlesnakes and tossing rocks at boars with big tusks can hurt you (ie basic survival). But if you want to go with theory, It's actually more likely, knowing human nature, that the longer the lives, the more fearful people become of losing them (more to lose) and therefore they want to protect their children by sheltering them longer. Which one could argue in some certain ways, actually hampers mental maturity. Not that I actually believe that, really...but one could argue it.
  15. So? Just because one culture decided that with longer lives came a longer childhood, doesn't mean every single other culture would.
  16. silvershadow was faster than me. I agree.
  17. He has a few subtle lines that could be interpreted that way. I see it as hero worship bordering on Major Crush - particularly if you're Light sided.
  18. unless they subscribed to the idea back then that being a 'grown up' started at age 12, like some cultures have in history, and some still do...still being a 'kid' below 18 is a relatively recent development in human history - as stoffe mentioned, who knows what the star wars universe 4000 years ago thought? :D
  19. I miss the early 30's Harrison Ford.....
  20. I had a brief discussion about in-game appearance elsewhere and came to the conlcusion that I 'see' them differently than most - in-game, all the human model NPC's w/the exception of Kreia look between 28-35 to me. All of them. But game/story-wise...I think that over 35 for Atton would be pushing it.
  21. Haha! I love those screenies Baley. I've had Bao jumping around but even I haven't had the patience yet to try and catch him at it. Man he's fast...like 1/8th of a second fast or something, lol! Good job.
  22. Did you have Disciple using blasters or something? I should try that I suppose. I had him ranged-skill pumped once but never really used him as such. And after seeing you use the phrase several times now - turtle = defensive build, right? I assume so from the context you use it in but just making sure. :D
  23. Well, consitution bonus does raise your vitality/hit points, even if it doesn't affect your ability to wear an item. Other than that, I don't know.
  24. Ahem. I never said I got a bonus to Awareness. It was for the healing one...whatever that's called. That's always my low or almost non-existant skill. I specifically checked and it went up by one. However, that was with my item still on - ie w/the item my skill was a certain number, I did the quest, that number went up by 1. But I never did check it by taking the item off to see if that point would remain, and I did read someone say once that it looked like it registered but it really didn't if you removed the item...so maybe that would have been true in my case.
  25. Good point stoffe - maybe Padawans were done around age 10-13 'back then'. I must admit I was thinking of little Anakin when I asked that question. :D
