Bug or BoW easter egg
InsaneCommander replied to a topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
So, who is the real spy now, Maia? -
Imho you need to upgrade your ship only once. I did that before upgrading my weapons/armor and then cleaned the map to make more money. But if you are sure you are gonna use a weapon or armor for a long time or you really wanna have an upgrade then do it. Also, if you are finding the combats challenging (assuming that such a thing is possible!).

Portraits IV
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Some interesting ones here. More than enough to make a full Vailian party. -
I think double casters have too many spells. That can be a good thing, but if you choose well and have other characters with these classes you'll be much better. I ended up changing Fassina to Aloth in my party, although I really like the Druid/Wizard combination. But if you want to play a certain build then who cares about synergy or efficiency? I'm considering a Druid/Wizard or Druid/Chanter focused on ice spells for a future playthrough.

Because the character I'm planning is also lawful and militaristic. I think he will prefer siding with Rauatai. Also, my current watcher is siding with the Principi and I'll leave the Vailians for my benevolent/pro animancy character from poe1. So, between the Huana and Rauatai, despite what you said, I prefer Rauatai. Oh, and in the end of the game they have a

Am I a pirate? Let's see what my current Watcher and the characters I'm planning to play later think: - Clever/Shady Assassin: "Me, a pirate? Come on! What? I'm serious. I'm telling you, I'm not a pirate. Why we are attacking another ship? What are you talking about? They attacked us first." - Priest of Berath: "What? A pirate?! Are you crazy? My goddess gave me a mission. And I need money. It's just that." - Benevolent/Honest/Diplomatic character: "Oh no, we forgot to change the flag again! Let's get closer to explain it... Ok, too late, they are firing. Turn to starboard!" Jokes apart, my priest of Berath will side with Rauatai and be consistent with that. And my Benevolent character will only go after evil people that have a bounty on their head.

Really? You ask him to leave and he plans to get revenge? That's quite serious for a character that you can't romance lol Oh! No no no, I didn't mean Eder. Sorry! The first paragraph was about him. The second paragraph was referring to Serafen, if you try to sell him as a slave. Agh, I try to keep things short because I hate text typing, but I keep making things confusing for everyone because I'm skimping on words. Ah, ok. That makes much more sense.

This should only be a problem for my benevolent characters. But they usually consider that killing a murderer is not as bad as being a murderer. Apparently it makes no sense, right? But the idea is that the murderer will very likely kill more innocent people in the future if nobody stops him, while my character will only murder more murderers.
