Portraits IV
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)There are some nice Godlike portraits done by Elizaveta Shchepina here. Edit: the link will give larger pictures.

Pathfinder Kingmaker is bigger then Deadfire
I checked the game for a few minutes. Created a character really fast but I could see a lot of information there. A few hours to spend in character creation. Again. I didn't realize how much I missed D&D!

what do others think about slayer, seeker, survivor DLC difficulty?
I'm looking forward to that. I have an underoptimized party too. I may have to respec some people. But not Konstanten, if the respec bug is still there. Tekehu was never the same...

Level cap raise
InsaneCommander replied to aleksanderqvist's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I think I actually counted how many levels I gained in... FFX? Iirc it was the one with no level number, you just gained the level, chose new abilities and there was no number to let you know your level. If I counted correctly, I went above 100, which was quite strange at the time.

That is one of my favorite things when exploring.

That is correct. Pretty funny movie. Or at least that is how I saw it when I was a teenager.

The Weird, Random or Interesting Things That Fit Nowhere Else Thread
Nowadays you always have to joke or criticize all sides at the same time or you are considered as part of the other one. They should have made a double meme with the Distracted Girlfriend as well.

Could Obsidian please clarify: Is the final boss "supposed" to optional, as some are now arguing? (endgame spoilers)
InsaneCommander replied to Mallard's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)I completely agree with this, including the praise for the great job with Deadfire. But I'm a little disappointed that I won't face the guardian in my current pt.

New Berath's Blessing
InsaneCommander replied to baldurs_gate_2's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Some "achievements" are pretty easy to get. Hire an adventurer, craft 5 scrolls. You can do that at any moment, in a couple of minutes. At the same time you don't get achievements for completing the game without anyone being knocked out or finishing the game killing less than X creatures. These are among the ones in PoE1. That said, BBs are not necessarily cheating. For example: you can start with more money to hire a full custom party quickly. You can increase your skills and stats for a solo pt (it would still be more difficult than playing with a full party and no BBs). And the explored map is more like a visual option than anything affecting the difficulty.

New Berath's Blessing
InsaneCommander replied to baldurs_gate_2's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Last I checked, I can get almost everything I want. But if the new achievements for the DLC give 12-15 points that would be most welcomed. He said it feels like cheating, not that it is cheating. Anyway, I've seen this happen before. Someone makes a mod and people call it cheating. And then the developers change the game to be just like the mod.

Does the Seeker DLC have any new gear?
If only npcs acknowledged that you are wearing it.

Non-aumauan members of Huana
InsaneCommander replied to Señor_Pasta's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)We don't see all of the Archipelago in the game (Naasitaq is further south from the map, for example). So it is possible there are other groups that include different races. If you are not an Aumaua but come from the Deadfire, just assume you lived in another area or visited Neketaka once. You'll even know their language.

Seeker, Slayer, or Survivor - Achievements
InsaneCommander replied to misterjimmy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)I barely started the DLC, but I don't see a port in the island. Maybe you can recruit a crew member through a conversation though.

God Challenges Feedback!
Make it so playing with mods and /or BB disable achievements. I don't care about that counter unless I can get all of them. And I may actually try to do that since there is a guide to play the game without fighting and

Pathfinder Kingmaker is bigger then Deadfire
I haven't checked the game yet, but I'll probably play as a wizard or sorcerer. Are there any nice robes for them?

Pathfinder Kingmaker is bigger then Deadfire
Out of curiosity, can you just add portraits like in Pillars of Eternity? I think there are three sizes. Do you know their sizes? I'm already checking my portrait gallery for anything that looks well for a King.

Flawless code? That depends on whether quantum mechanics and relativity are intentional. They both are and they're not, that's the beauty of it. Well, at least for quantum mechanics, it is and it is not at the same time.

Non-aumauan members of Huana
InsaneCommander replied to Señor_Pasta's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)I never saw one. Unless you count non-aumauas that live in Neketaka. But I never saw anyone referring to them as Huana. My character is an elf from the Deadfire and sometimes people notice that. They never called me "Huana", but Queen Onekaza, for example, refers to me as a "countryman" or "one of our people":
