God Challenges Feedback!
InsaneCommander replied to Aarik D's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Announcements & News
Still not interested, but this is better than having one single timer for the whole game imo. I'm sure it does show the seconds when it's about to run out. Imagine the tension! Please do share the answers here. And good luck to anyone trying all the challenges together. -

How does it work? Is there a timer on the screen? How much time do you have to finish the game? -
Pathfinder Kingmaker is bigger then Deadfire

The game looks good. I'll wait a couple of weeks to play, as I always do, but that means that if the game is long I can finish it in my vacation. -
Portraits IV

I found some interesting portraits in Pinterest: -
I agree. But I wouldn't mind if there was a way to help her have a better ending. Maybe something difficult involving the Grieving Mother, requiring the mc being a Cypher or giving Galvino a better laboratory. Edit: the mc is always a Watcher! What I thought is that maybe they should also be a cypher. Changing the Devil's memory or even trying to give her a normal body would be options, but failure would bring terrible consequences, giving her an even worse ending.

That is a very good advice, unless someone wants to roleplay a faction friendly character. I had planned on playing a Rauataian guy who wouldn't stand pirates, but I decided to change him a little, so that I can have more options of sidequests to do. So instead of just killing them on first sight, I'll have him pretend to be a mercenary to infiltrate their ranks and gather information. There will be some satisfying moments when he finally reveals that he had always planned on wiping them out.

You could leave the slider at 100% until you leave Port Maje (or go to 125% as Verde said). But this would require frequent adjustments by the player. So your idea of diminishing returns is better. I imagine it wouldn't be difficult to implement, find a mathematical function that suits with the desired behavior and multiply it by the xp after level 10. Or maybe use both: leave the slider for experienced players and create an option by its side to automatically adjust the slider each time you level up, according to pre-defined settings.

I think there is a chance of almost 100% that they will. The changed a lot of things when doing Deadfire, but PoE3 probably wouldn't change much from the second and so would be comparatively easier to make. I read that somewhere, but I don't remember where... Anyway, if PoE3 will be easier to make and is their IP, why wouldn't they make it?

Have you played as a tiny blue man in Deadfire too? I can imagine a funny moment if you do that.

I don't remember anything proving it either way. There was some mention about them starting to appear and being something new, so at least the first one(s) was(were) innate... This isn't really a spoiler, but in Deadfire there is a book that says that some people had been favoring Ciphers for certain jobs. It doesn't mean their abilities are innate, but it gave me that impression.

Hmm. How was your conversation with him in the council of stars? Maybe you didn't convince him or didn't trigger part of the conversation. When I first played the game (right after it was released) there was a problem in the conversation. I noticed it was strange and did it again, but speaking to the gods in a different order. And then it sounded good. I don't remember what exactly happened, but I think when I spoke with Magran Durance acted as if he knew something before it was revealed in a conversation with another god. Maybe this part of the game is still bugged?

Portraits IV
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Are there any watercolor versions for these? Can anyone please make some? A thousand thanks if anyone does so. The one above is in page 8. I made an attempt for the modded companions: I'll try to watercolor the dwarfs and the elf tomorrow. And other requests during the week. Edit: I redid the ones above instead of trying others. Maybe I'm getting a better idea of how to adjust the method to different portraits. -
This kid may be a problem later in life.

Edit: I tried to improve them, but it only worked for the second one.
