What are you reading?
The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption by Jim Gorant. Vick and his "crew" really were a bunch of savages. It really galls me that he is back in the NFL. If we applied his own "training" methods to him then after that game last season where he threw six interceptions he should have been shot, or hung, or drowned, or electrocuted. After all when his dogs lost or wouldn't fight that's what he did to them.

I thought most folks laid off the Dew when they got out of college! After all, since they took Jolt Cola away from us the Dew is the most caffeine you can get in a can.

Hi GD What is the reason you keep rabbits? For food or just as pets ? Hmmm that question actually has two answers. Let's just say some things changed when Lady GD moved in. Oddly enough she has no qualms about eating the odd wild rabbit I have gotten during hunting season. But it's a lot harder to eat a critter you see every day and have named. For some at least. I hear you, I love eating wild rabbit. Its amazing how many people won't touch it because they see it as a pet Once it has a name it has become a de facto pet I've found. I never named them if I knew they would not be around long!

Sochi 2014
Is it just me or has professional athletes in Olympic sports (hockey) kind of taken some of the joy out of it? During the USA/Russia game everyone wanted to hearken back to the 1980 Miracle on Ice game. But it really doesn't fly because neither team were amateurs and 16 of the players on the ice here in the NHL. Same thing with USA Canada, wouldn't that be a little more exciting if these guys didn't all know each other and we had never seen them play each other before?

The heater in the rabbit pen crapped out last night. So this morning I found the odd sight of eight rabbits piled on top of each other trying to stay warm. It wasn't even that cold last night so I figured they're just wussies. The new heater works though... just checked it.

Lady GD wants a big aquarium. I started building a base for it today. There is something imminently satisfying about doing something like that yourself

Splitting firewood is fun. There is definitely something relaxing about it, isn't there?

Heading out to do some work around the property and to split firewood. We've used up a heck of a lot of it lately.

what is your worst rpg game ever played?
NWN had one saving grace; there were at least 150 use made modules that were WAY better than the OC. SoU was ok, HotU was good. So NWN gets one of my votes for the OC only. Heck I thought Adam Millers Shadowlords campaign was worth the price of the game by itself. My other vote, and I know this won't be popular, goes to KOTOR II. For the first 2/3 of the game it was one of the greatest ever, then it completely fell off a cliff and became one of the worst. It just left you flat during that hurried and nonsensical ending.

Happy Valentines Day All
I made a nice dinner for Lady GD along with chocolate from Kilwins and a little present. It was nice. What came after was nice too.

It's cold and nasty outside, Lady GD is sick (occupational hazard being around sick people all day) so it sounds like a good day to stay on the couch, watch stuff on Netflix and make popcorn. Yes that second part just got added to the plan.

You got to love Canada: http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/sochi-team-canada-free-beer-drink/story?id=22461979 It sort of a weird place sometimes, especially Quebec, but by God those folks have their priorities straight!

Checking is not allowed in women's hockey. Only in men's hockey. Did not know that.

****, I hope you get well soon, that sounds awful! Take care of yourself. I did see some of the lingerie images of those russian players, and I sort of wonder how the hell they are able to play hockey because they had very little visible muscle to talk of. But then, what you say rings true with what I saw. If there's very little body contact you don't really need the mass and muscles in the same way. I actually prefer watching clean games, not that I mind checking if it's done properly, but players seem to have some sort of retardation wich prevents them from keeping the stick on the ice and hands away from faces... Oh yeah, the passing was really sloppy. From the Russians at least. The japanese team at least could pass. They just couldn't score. Their first goal was just a happy accident

I like the next one the best. I can just see it, a posh crowded casino in a fictional and heavilly sterotyped european country. Agent Sands strolls in wearing a perfectly cut tux, drinking a martini and still looking manly while doing it. At the roulette table a mysterious red haired beauty watches him enter. The story just writes itself! Until the alarm clock goes off!

I'm watching the Japan/Russia womens hockey game. Apparently these ladies think a check is something you buy groceries with. There has been 0 contact in this game. On another note some of the Russian players are hot.

I reloaded NWN 1 on my laptop. I forgot how bad it looked.

What are you playing now
Neverwinter Nights. Not the OC though. I just reloaded it today and figured I'd try some of the new modules that have posted the last few years. Does anyone know whatever happened to the City of Doors Initiative?
