I assume real ? Surly you don't expect some kind of subterfuge Bruce, don't you know there is only like 10 people who post here. We're all just one of their alts!

Shake and bake pork chops, baked potato, fresh carrots from the garden. Sometimes the simple things are the best.

Wait a minute here. I've read this three times and I want to make sure I am getting your meaning. Are you actually suggesting that distrust (hatred in your words) of government is the same as racism? Or is somehow rooted in racism? If so that is the most appallingly stupid thing I've ever seen posted here. And considering the folks who post here, that is saying a lot. Please tell me I'm misunderstanding what you are driving at. If so, my apologies.

I'm a lot less worried about the terrorists in the middle east than I am about the ones just north of the Potomac right here at home. And the Patriot Act gives them way too much power that they have already shown they are happy to use against their own people.

Amen Brother! It was a bad law that was ill-conceived, heavy-handedly applied and has allowed the last two administrations to do terrible things. That was the most serious blow to our freedom in recent memory.
-
I don't know if I'd say all the recent Presidents were terrible but I have very little positive to say about the last two. There is one thing I think no one would argue with is that the cause of individual liberty and freedom have been dealt a setback by both Bush II & BHO. To me that is the only thing that matters. The reach, scope and power of the federal government has increased, drastically on some things, federalism has decreased and our own personal freedom has been diminished. That is not a good thing.

Master of Orion II was quite simply the best computer game ever made... period. Such a shame that MOO 3 was one of the worst. It killed the franchise.

Wals are you getting grumpy in your old age?

Robobama would have eliminated republicans, as he would no longer be restrained by Human emotions and morals, instead having nothing but a heart of cold and lifeless steel. In all seriousness, this is a troll thread, so we might as well post the weirdest **** we can to **** with the NSA. Obama is apparently fan of Spider-Man comics, so if he becomes a super-villain, will he be called Doctor Obamapus? Not Morbius, Morbamaius! Only instead of sucking the blood from beautiful girls he sucks the money from your saving accounts! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morbius,_the_Living_Vampire

I think Obama has been the greatest USA president I have ever seen in my life, and I'm sure history will remember him favorably. There are many people on these forums who I like and respect immensely but don't like Obama, like GD, and thats fine. We all have our own opinions and perspectives. One thing that people must realize is that I see Obama from an outsiders perspective. And trust me when I say this is that from a global view George W Bush was much more unliked and reviled and fairly or unfairly tarnished the image of the USA that America still has to deal with. For example when the USA was considering attacking Syria due to there contravention of using Chemical weapons the standard response was " oh another country that the USA wants to invade for oil, like Iraq" Anyway here is a good link that raises some of the positive things that Obama has done http://whatthe****hasobamadonesofar.com/ Bruce that link is laughable. A number of the things he got credit for were in the works for years prior to his first term. Any President would have signed them, it just happened to be him. A number of others he reversed after signing them. Like closing Guantanamo. A handful were just outright false. Like the VA appropriations. It has had a net increase in his last six years but the rate of increase was less that originally planned. I don't need to explain the concept of baseline budgeting to you but some in DC call that a cut. Remember, his admin floated the idea of making wounded veterans pay for their own post-separation care. It is way too soon to even guess how history will remember the Obama admin. Heck we are only now getting a good feel of what George Bush I and Clintons legacies really are. For good or ill he is tied to the Affordable Care Act forever and if it continues to be the disaster that is has been I suspect history won't be kind.

Closer to Wally actually!

Robobama would bomb the **** out of Detroit. And then tell them with a straight face that the Republicans and George Bush did it! And the media would believe it! In all seriousness, I never saw Orwell's "doublethink" executed in real life so flawlessly as BHO and his admin have done it. For those who have not read 1984, doublethink it telling a lie, knowing that it is a lie, yet believing it with no logical conflict in your mind.

One thing I miss about being a one man design, implementation team, and Project Manager was not having to explain the reason for evey little engineering decision to someone who has only the vaguest of notions what I'm talking about. Case in point, my installation plans for my current project were rejected because I did not order, or allow room for ferrite rings between the DU and radio remotes. I tried explaining that those connections are using 900 nm optical cable. I figured that was answer enough. He (the PM) replied with a six thousand + word e-mail about the susceptibility of Cat5 cable to EM and other forms of interference, especially in an environment where a two way radio system is in use. I responded with just one sentence: "The ALU DAS that you ordered does not use CAT5 cables, read the BPP."

We made a Shipwreck Pizza tonight. It's regular pizza only you use white sauce instead of tomato, then add chopped peppers & fresh garlic & basil and mussels, shrimp & crab or lobster. I actually considered making a brick, wood fired pizza oven outside next to the porch tonight. I may actually do that one day.

They still make those? just kidding

I don't watch him. I find that unless it's sports I really don't want to watch TV anymore.

Never happen. Should not happen. He's been a bad president and a poor leader but impeachment is for removing a president who has actually broken laws. He's done some questionable things, looked to other way on some things that are arguably illegal (turning the IRS into the lefts own thought police for an example) but I didn't think Clinton should have been impeached and he actually did commit a crime (perjury) I certainly don't think BHO should be who hasn't. What I want for Barack Obama is for him to lose both houses of Congress this year (a good probability) which will neutralize the government. Congress will protect us from him, he'll protect us from them. Then I'd like to see him quietly run out the clock on his next two years, leave office, build a library, spend time with his family and make $1M a year on the lecture circuit and just go away.

Great news Enoch, hopefully Thursday is the day. As for how you have been spending the last few days, none of it was a waste of time.

Great post Kroney. Totally disagree with most of it but it was a great post. As for this one part, I'd love to agree to disagree and let's all go our separate ways but it seems too many of the folks who don't see the point of having them are not interested in simply not having them. They want to take everyone else's away too.

Review Thread
Guard Dog replied to C2B's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
I just saw a nice write up on it in USA Today. Nice job Obsidian folks! -
Yeah I think this is pretty close to the truth. My fiancée is a Registered Nurse and she had excellent grades in all her math, chemistry, etc classes during her undergrad work. If she had wanted to pursue a Engineering degree of any discipline she could have done so easily. In my entire time ay FAU there was only one woman in any of the engineering programs. People choose what they choose.

Spill your blasphemous opinions on CRPGs here

I can hardly fault you for that. ETW, MTW2 & HOMM3 still make up the bulk of my gaming time. -
So, I finally visited their site and watched their video and looked at their pictures. It's pretty enough but the story sounds a lot like Oblivion, the world has been breached and demons are coming through. Yes, I'm certain that has been done before, to varying degrees of success. I saw nothing that will make me lift my self-imposed moratorium against buying games that suck. I think I'll hold on to my 60 bucks and wait and see what you guys think of it.

Like I said, this is a purely hypothetical discussion. I won't happen because there would be a fight. And there are a number of politicians, mainly on the left, who would love nothing more that to "kick in the doors and take them". If you'd like I can post a page full of quotes. But they are in a minority and while this whole thing is not outside the realm of possibility, it is virtually certain that it will never happen. This whole thread is loaded with sarcasm, hyperbole, is entertaining as hell, and most of all is just hypothetical. We do that kind of thing here, you know that.
