[435] Bonus Damage Strings should be changed from x to +
Programmed Random OCcurrence. Typically used when an ability goes off randomly when you hit something, like a sword doing bonus fire damage 5% of the time.

My hopes for PoE after Playing Dragon Age Inquisition
This was apparent after the mage origin. The mages are nuclear bombs likely to go off at any moment.

- My hopes for PoE after Playing Dragon Age Inquisition
I really enjoyed DAO and especially loved the Origin story mechanic. I wanted them to do this again only more so, have it impact more of the story. Instead they dropped it entirely and had your race and class mean less. I just did not get that. Anyway DAO was the last time I felt Bioware was designing games for my demographic. I am not upset with them about this, but it was sad to see one of my favorite RPG companies drop out.- Update 91: Closing in on March 26th!
Yeah this is just a freak occurrence undermining the best laid plans. Nothing anybody had any control over.- PoE Lore, culture, history - Outstanding, Josh Sawyer!
Based on what I have heard it sounds great. But just as I have kept an open mind about the mechanics I am not going to bury or praise Josh until I actually experience the game. I am optimistic on both counts though.- The problem with straying to far from Dungeons and Dragons.
- Update 91: Closing in on March 26th!
I remember the bad old days fretting about getting the physical box in time for release day. No idea why people were expecting things to go any differently than they did back then. There were always furious people and delays outside the power of anybody to prevent. I mean geez a dock workers strike? Now Obsidian is screw all their backers while shamelessly selling out to new customers. Unless Obsidian has some sort of suicidal tendency or pathological need to destroy their company right on the verge of success I don't think they are scheming such a thing. So glad all my games are digital now. Yeah ok let me know if that actually happens. I bet I am playing my digital copy days before those people are. My guidebook thing I ordered off Amazon is not getting here until well after release and live in the US.- How long
Longer than BG1, shorter than BG2- Area looting confirmed
Ok let's not go crazy here.- Area looting confirmed
That is beside the point, but what is on the point of your point, is that the IE games also didn't feature an infinite teleport-a-stash that could be accessed from everywhere at any time. You said it was a change. I was saying it was not a change. Sorry if that was confusing. Yes the infinite inventory is annoying. I am not looking forward to it filling with junk and me having problems finding things.- Area looting confirmed
The IE games had infinite gold for merchants. I don't recall anybody having a problem with that.- Backer Beta Build 480 Portraits
Then people would be all like 'but I wanted THAT hooded head but Obsidian was too lazy to just palette shift it'- Backer Beta Build 480 Portraits
LOL But seriously we can find plenty of those elsewhere online. But Obsidian is our only source for Godlikes and Aumua and so forth.- Backer Beta Build 480 Portraits
I don't see any problematic value judgments here that would make one be reminded of something like that. It looks to me that more than just a skin tone shift was made as well, but they are subtle. I don't get 'lazy'. I mean we are talking about a simple way to make more portraits available to more different kinds of characters. What is wrong with that?- Area looting confirmed
That small? Hardly a big deal. The infinite inventory thing is far bigger of a departure.- Screenshots: The Engwithan Empire
Every fantasy setting needs a fallen empire of a previously advanced civilization around. Looks pretty sweet. I have a feeling we are going to be finding out all about these guys in the main plot.- Area looting confirmed
If you EE players like it, I will probably be fine with it. How big is the radius? I guess we do not know this yet.- Idea "Jobs" and some "Economy" as a part of roleplaying.
- Guidebook v1; in my hands right now!
Man I wish I had it. By the time I get it from Amazon I will already be playing the game.- RIP Terry Pratchett
That's too bad. I was glad to hear he was doing alright last year, he even published another book. RIP Terry you left us too soon.- how long you think a single completionist playtrough will take?
Ok I played BG1 and I have no idea what game you are describing but maybe we played different BG1s. The question is not a speed run, not blazing through maps. This is a completionist first time playthrough.- Best animal companion?
No, not an overreaction at all. If the animal companions lack the ability to evade, shrug off (damage resistance), or regenerate damage, then the ranger is by and large screwed if forced to melee. They'll be dedicated archers in the rear of the party acting as fire support and body guards for the wizards with their animal companions joined to them at the hip lest the critter get surrounded and put down right quick in a fierce battle. If Sensuki's assessment is correct, that which should be an asset is instead a liability. Not an over-reaction to the importance of the mechanic for the Ranger, but rather the outrage at Obsidian for not having it balanced correctly yet. Right now they are pretty much the only gimpy class, not bad for building a system from scratch. But yeah they need to be fixed.- White People: What They Say in Public vs Behind Closed Doors
- how long you think a single completionist playtrough will take?
A completionist run of a game that is supposed to be longer than BG1? 20 hours? How much money are we talking about betting here? - My hopes for PoE after Playing Dragon Age Inquisition
