Hello, Mattyhueb, and welcome to the forums. I'm afraid there isn't any real news about Kotor 3. A lot of people were hoping that Kotor 3 would be announced at a recent major Star Wars convention, because LucasArts did promise to announce a new Star Wars game, but it turned out to be Lego Star Wars: The Complete Trilogy, nothing Kotor related. As for the rumours, they've always been around in one form or another - a short while ago a lot of news outlets picked up on a rumour of a supposed Kotor-based MMPORPG being developed by Bioware, but there's nothing official and it doesn't seem very plausible given the kind of things Bioware has said it wants to do. As for E3, that's anyone's guess.

It must be true, 'cause it's in The Sun.

While we'll never be a world superpower like New Zealand, we do maintain our own independent sheep deterrent. Very interesting indeed. We seem to be much less tolerant of casualties now. I suspect it's a combination of three things - perhaps times have changed, and people are generally less willing to accept casualties, plus the Falklands Conflict took place over a shorter period of time and had a definite end which people could see coming even before it happened, and finally because public support for the war was so much stronger in that case. On the whole matter of US aid in the conflict, I'm not sure I do accept the word of that source, but he says that the origin of the 'myth' was Thatcher and the conservative establishment and I'm more than a little disturbed that I might have been misled by that as well. I'll ask my father to restate his position next time I talk to him.

Use of satellites, that sort of thing. I don't remember in detail, which is why I was asking. I just remember that it was the received wisdom in my family (a navy family - my father served in the Falklands, albeit after the actual conflict) that successive governments had allowed the armed forces to decline, and to become dependent on the US, to such an extent that the whole operation would have been impossible had the US not secretly given its support. I do remember that the French helped too with the codes to the Exocet missiles and suchlike, something that's generally forgotten in these it's-so-cool-to-hate-the-French days.

I gather takings were down on opening weekend of Pirates 3, so perhaps this will spur them to understand that if they make a fourth, they need to do something to reinvigorate the franchise. Sadly, this could well be a talking CGI monkey sidekick. Imagine how the toys would sell.

Surely the tall pointy thing in the background would have toppled over at some point, no? I feel like I could almost reach into the picture and give it a prod.

Incidentally for those just joining us we are listening to live transmissions from the House of Commons.

Exactly. You get to go to Nirvana instead, which looks very nice in the brochures. Or, if you're a Boddhisatva, you choose to remain behind to spread your wisdom so that others may gain enlightenment.

Congratulations indeed.

They did? I thought we only won because they helped us...

I stared at this and wondered how I could have lived in Buddhist countries and never heard of it. Then I realised you were talking about the Buddha's Birthday. Happy Buddha's Birthday everyone.
-
I've never got it - I've heard it comes after you've played several times with several different characters and it may come only on the X-Box (although the sound file is on the PC CDs). It's just a joke.

Great! Can I get my extravagant lifestyle funded by the taxpayer now?

Oval, which gives me a free block on the southbound Victoria Line, I believe.

I agree completely. Their relationship was a huge part of the first movie, and finding out how it progressed in the second was what prompted me to watch it. That was a big disappointment when she was killed.

Gaining influence with Kreia

If you get stuck, the influence guide at gamefaqs.com details every possible influence change for each companion. -
Real Breaking News: Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer
SteveThaiBinh replied to Sand's topic in Computer and Console
Thanks, funcroc. Interesting interview. One of Many? Is that a companion from Mask of the Betrayer then? Ring any bells, anyone? "Which implies that the days when you just camp every ten feet down a dungeon to stay at full power may be behind us." I'm guilty of this, but I enjoyed the challenge of the OC endgame where you couldn't do it, so I'm open to being persuaded. I hope they implement it right. -
Two years. (I'm feeling optimistic and decisive today, on a kind of high after spending quite a lot of money yesterday after weeks of prevarication.)

I agree that one hardly needs a book to pick up the basic rules, however in any competitive game the occasional dispute is bound to arise, so it's worthwhile someone having one of the standard references to hand. Walsh, it's your move.
-
Hmmm, tricky... I'd be tempted to try Bethnal Green but I think Walsh is just crazy enough to follow that with Cannon Street, and then we'd be in a right mess. So I think I'll play safe instead, and go for Gloucester Road.
-
"I knew we should've made that left turn at Albuquerque."
-
If everyone agrees with the result of the last game, shall we start a new one then? I believe the first move is mine: Upney.

TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline
SteveThaiBinh replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
As far as I can tell, it's not what you'd really call a fan-based expansion. They've always said they were limiting themselves to restoring content that had been cut from the original game but remained on the disks we all got. Of course, that involves making judgements about how to use that content, but I don't believe they're adding anything unless it's necessary to make the cut content work. That's why they call it a 'restoration' project. -
As far as I can see it's perfectly valid. I believe a similar move was employed by Hollingsworth in his victory over Garcia in the 1976 world semi-finals. I don't have my standard reference to hand, though, so I can't be entirely certain.
