  1. Making cheats available through a 'console' (as in Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights, for example) is one way for PC gamers to get around bugs/glitches until a decent patch comes (if it ever does).
  2. Why thankyou! Yes. Yes, we are.
  3. There's a link to the high-quality media downloads in the FAQ. The downloads are hosted by nVidia and are here. The patch is only for the PC. However even if you don't have the PC version of the game, I imagine it's possible to extract and listen to the music from the patch files. No idea how, mind.
  4. Part 5 (first page) Part 5 (last page) There's been a really good music programme on TV this week in the mornings, which prompted me to download some Joplin rags. It's ages since I listened to them properly - probably not since school - and I really enjoyed rediscovering them.

  11. Part 6 Last page And I completely agree about Stranger Than Fiction. I liked it a lot, and I was really surprised to like Will Ferrell, since usually I don't so much.
  12. There's a general policy of trying to have as few stickies as possible. They can be annoying for people with low screen resolutions who have to scroll down through lists of stickies to get to the posts. This thread is so popular it hardly ever falls off the first page anyway, so no need.
  13. Is much known about what to expect from this teaser thing? Will it be gameplay footage or just stills of concept art and text?
  14. oh god, thats right i forgot i had that as well Sorry I reminded you.

  16. Hello, and welcome to the forums. Your problem might be related to Vista or to how Kotor2 plays movies, as both have been known to cause problems. For Vista, I recommend you have a look at the FAQ and see if any of the fixes there work for you. You should also probably check the LucasArts Tech forum. For the movies, I can't remember all the problems and fixes, I'm afraid. A quick search yielded this, which might be worth a try. I'd suggest also doing a search for your video card etc. to see if others with the same components have found this problem. I hope this helps.
  17. Hello, and welcome to the forums. I'm not sure exactly how to resolve your problem. Have you checked some of the Vista fixes mentioned in the FAQ? A few of those deal with launch issues.
  18. Congratulations!
  19. Quest for Glory IV's soundtrack is definitely one of the best - I think my favourites are the Leshy's music and the combat-with-the-Necrotaur music. QfGV was also really memorable, especially the Dryad dancing scene. I loved Arcanum's soundtrack - I thought it was so unusual and in keeping with the setting. I'd mention Gabriel Knight, Planescape: Torment and Monkey Island as other excellent ones. And of course, Civilization IV - for having faith in gamers' tastes.
  20. NWN2 has beautiful graphics, and is one of my favourites for modern games. I found the graphics of Oblivion to be a little over-hyped - in particular, the way the scenery turns to green mush in the distance seemed to have been given a free pass by reviewers and commentators. I think the graphics for Baldur's Gate 2 still stand up, not in terms of 3D or resolution, but in terms of craft, attention to detail, and attractiveness. Syberia and Syberia 2 had excellent graphics and were creepily atmospheric in places. Fahrenheit won me over to motion capture and body language as a worthwhile addition to graphics quality. But the first prize has to go to Dreamfall. It's breathtakingly beautiful in most locations.
  21. For goodness' sake, don't tell Tony, or we'll be invading Vanuatu or Andorra within the week.
  22. Eden Falls natural mineral water. Asda own brand. Does it come from the real Eden Falls, I wonder?
  23. That said, I won't be surprised if more UK shows are written by larger teams and have longer runs in the future, so that they can more easily be sold to US networks.
