  1. The Jedi Order in KotOR II is disbanded, not eradicated.
  2. Not from the developers, but from the Expanded Universe: Dxun- Dxun, one of four moons orbiting the planet Onderon, is home to numerous bloodthirsty monsters. Due to Dxun's erratic orbit, several of the creatures were able to migrate to the surface of Onderon ages ago during a brief period in which the two worlds' atmospheres intersected. Four thousand years ago, after Queen Amanda of Iziz was defeated by the Jedi, the inhabitants of Onderon built a Mandalorian iron tomb on Dxun to house the remains of the Queen and the Dark Jedi Freedon Nadd. Exar Kun later visited the tomb, where the spirit of Nadd helped him discover some hidden Sith scrolls. In the Dark Side Sourcebook for Star Wars D20, Dxun is listed as an example of a Major Dark Side site due to the corrupting influence of Freedon Nadd and the Queen. As such, an already dangerous place became much, much worse. 4 out 7 worlds are now known(Peragus, Dantooine, Telos and Dxun), but everyone of them has either got a 'dark' tone to it or it has experienced destruction in the past 10 years or so. I vote for a 'safe haven' planet as the next one to be introduced.
  3. He could even do one of the Sith Lords IMO.
  4. Countless of games have sadly fallen in this category. But considering what Obsidian has to prove as being a 'new' company to the market, i have some doubt that this game will be rushed one.
  5. If properly executed, that wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
  6. My guess is that they don't have any 'in-house' voiceovers(like Bioware), but they hire proffessional ones whenever needed, they gave a big enough budget for that.
  7. It's still easier to pronounce than the village of 'Rwhokkowrorroo'.
  8. Thanks for the links. Good to see some improvements in the animation department come to life. In the second vid, appearing in the upper right corner for a brief of time, is that one of the 'dark force pockets' that the previewers have talked about?
  9. Whoa, those screens from Dxun look pretty ugly to say the least. But as already stated, the new innovations that Obsidian implements in KotOR II are the animations, not the graphics. And about the releasedate, when was the last time a game got finished prior to its original deadline?
  10. How about Ewok Jedi? Jawa Jedi? Ewoks or Jawa, period? No Ewoks or Jawas. Or Gungans. Or any of the pod-racing aliens. But a Hutt...
  11. You gotta have the Rakatan in the box! That would be a funny idea. Fooling the poor Rakata in the box again with riddles about numbers.
  12. That sounds a bit too shallow and far-fetched to me. It must be more to it.
  13. The Computer Gaming World article said something to the effect of working on the game and doing most of the hard coding through June, then playtesting and fixing bugs/problems for 6 months. Yes, but how many games have been released before schedule? Not many
  14. Quite intruiging, that would fit good in the Star Wars universe IMO.
  15. In some of the interviews, the devs say that they're pushing to make the game-content finished by the end of this month, and bugtest it until february 2005, so a releasedate by december this year is not impossible. However, until Obsidian or Lucasarts prove otherwise, that releasedate is a pile of Bantha poo-doo.
  16. Good, scepticism will keep your feet back on the ground and concentrating on proving every nay-sayer wrong in every way. Now stop posting and start working
  17. I'm pretty sure you are. But that doesn't mean that the mod will be as good as you promote it to be. I'm still under the impression that there's a alot of 'pretty neato' features(several who will never leave the drawingboard), and no real content. I would be glad to be proven otherwise.
  18. This is where I get confused. Exar Kun was once a Jedi who fell. I don't believe he ever went to any Sith Academy. This is also the case with Ulic Qel-Droma, his apprentice. I think some Sith Ghost named Kun Dark Lord as well as Ulic. The definitions just seem so vague. I thought that the original Sith species was gifted in their own version of the Force, which included alchemy. Naga Sadow dabbled in this a bit. That's why I always thought you had to be much more than just a Jedi who no longer follows the light. You had to be a Sith. But the movies and games seem to contradict this. Anakin and Tyranus just simply fell and swore their allegiance to Sidious. That seemed to be enough in both cases. That's probably because the Sith have changed their teachings every now and then in the last 5000 years or so.
  19. And I am saying its not. The Sith left Korriban because it was a s***ty planet and only good for tomb building, the "outcasts" moved the Sith race to places were they actualy see water on the surface instead of sandy volcanic Korriban. The Sith Empire lasted over 1000 years and even at its start was more technological advanced that we currently are and at the end they all died in the great hyperspace war, the fact Korriban is still standing just shows that the Sith did not cared for that world besides being its tomb world and the Republic also did not care to bomb the crap out of it because there was nothing there. The Sith race is DEAD, they fought to the last in the Great Hyperspace War and their mutations got killed by Kun 40 years before SW:KotOR takes place. What you are claiming is there are Sith living on Korriban (a former Sith World) for the last 1000 years and nobody found then? Having the Sith race on a game is like Fett ... pure fan servce. I wouldn't call the last remnants of the Sith(Massasi) even Sith anymore, weren't they some form of dragon-like monsters that Naga Sadow created through some Sith black arts?
  20. Have you ever given a second thaught on what is possible/necessary to implement before starting working on it? There's alot of nice ideas, but you should sit down and think of what achievable or not.

  22. Hopefully, they're at board meeting with Chris saying: "How about adding this to the story?" and everyone going "That's one of the best ideas i've ever heard!". But that's just me.
