  1. I wonder into what extent that would be (changing your hilt). Will it be a list of already implemented model to choose from, or something even more creative?
  2. That's true more or less. When i tried playing KotOR as DS, i saw it more like a "what if?"-scenario compared to LS than an actual game-strategy.
  3. Looking from that point of view, KotOR II will be nothing more of a huge success in every department. It has potential to become the 'Empire Strikes back' of the Star Wars games, but there's also alot in where it can fail. The Pros: - It's darker. - Better animations after your skill progresses. - The "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"-mentality will make some fans pleased. - It's Obsidian The Cons: - The story can be lacking due to the limitations set by the timeline itself (5 years after the Star Forge). - The characters might be to generic and dull. - The level-design might be lacking. - Taking out Jeremy Soule and having, more or less, a nobody to do the soundtrack. - It might end up shorter then the previous game.
  4. Is that a fact, is that something that the developers said already? Or is that something that you believe? As i said: "One can always hope...", there's no more to it. The only thing that could be stated as a fact is that there will be more sidequests that might extend the length of KotOR II, compared to its predecessor.
  5. One can always hope that the comment "The game would be about the same as KOTOR in terms of length" was taken entirely out of context, that the devs implied on how many planets KotOR II will have, but the sheer size of those worlds will be greater than in KotOR.
  6. Maybe you should stick to Halo instead
  7. The things that i liked about KotOR was in the following order: 1) The Storyline, it gave that epic feel back to the star wars universe, something which the prequels lacked. 2) The voiceacting and dialogue, it was the first game, movie or book for that matter where i actually cared for the characters, excellent job by Bioware. 3) The music, Jeremy Soule did a very good job on making a collage of his own and John Williams music to this 90 minute long soundtrack. Tracks like "The Sith", "The Sith academy", "Dantooine outback", "Jedi Academy", "Ahto City", "The unknown world", "Boarding the Star Forge" and "Bastila Shan" are on my winamp-playlist and listened to almost daily.
  8. Of some reason i always end up with double-bladed lightsaber with the Heart of the Guardian crystal + Upari and the Krayt Dragon crystal. Add master speed and master flurry and you're killing machine.
  9. If KotOR 1 was this long: <----------> Then KotOR IIs length is: <----------> Just my opinion.
  10. Hehe, funny thread. It seems like some people here have read too much Nietzsche :D Seriously though, i see the Sith and the Jedi as road with no ending at either direction. Everybody tries to walk the path that is true to them, but they never get to the ultimate goal.
  11. AFAIK, the only thing that we really know, is that Revans fate will be revealed. The whole cameo-appearance is debatable.
  12. And plot-twist will be..... "Carth Onasi is a Sith Lord" Never saw that coming, did ya?
  13. One word: "Coffee" ...and back to topic, i'll probably play LS with LS ending, and then the complete opposite for the fun of it.
  14. Well i just saw it, and here's my verdict: The Good: - The cloak animation was nice. - The character animations seemed a bit more slick. - The fps was steady at most of times. - It had the KotOR feel to it (yay!). The Bad: - The level itself was very generic (Telos mines IIRC), almost like the Sith military base on Taris. - The some of the droids just looked plain awful. - The A.I. is still lacking (walking on mines, etc.).
  15. That makes sense now. Personally I think that was lame, they should have had an option to attack the pods directly with a lightsaber. I just attacked HIM with my lightsaber, again, again, and again. Damn fool kept regenarating whilst i kept removing parts of his anatomy. It wouldn't have been so bad if he had just accepted defeat the first time, he had to be a loser 7 times over, bah. What's really sad is the only way they could make that fight even remotely challenging (and I use the term loosely) was to give him that regeneration method. The whole Star Forge was a mindless grindfest. I think that it was made a grindfest on purpuse by the devs, in order to make you feel really powerful. Noone stood a chance against the former dark lord of the Sith.
  16. One can wonder how the devs will make the "turret gun" mini-game optional. Will there be an option before you launch the Ebon Hawk that says: - "Do you wish to be attacked by Sith forces while traveling to planet 'x'?" - "Yes" - "No"
  17. I really like the idea. Posing moral dilemmas where your PC thinks that he did the right thing, but instead it just leads to further destruction --> DS points.
  18. I think they do....they're just trying not to give the 'twist' of KOTOR away. Then they just write in very clumsy way :D
  19. Defeat of Darth Revan? Does this mean they are going with the Darkside ending? I mean why would the Sith be mad at the betrayal of Darth Revan by Darth Malak? That was the only other defeat of Darth Revan's I can think of. I think that they don't have much of a clue on what they're talking about
  20. Pazaak was a very fun diversion from the actual game, and platforms shouldn't be an issue, since i own both versions.
  21. hmmm Hopefully, thats just tabloid rumour. If that really came to be, it could only be descibed in one word: ******** !!! That must be a trolling attempt. Just to be on the safe side... whats the name of the second state ? They succeeded in making me buying it to both platforms, due to the "unique" features that that it had on the PC.
  22. So Peragus is counted as one planet? Bleh, and i thought that it would be a "Endar Spire" like intro to the game.
