  1. Realistic? Nope. Entertaining? Yes.
  2. Yup. And maybe Canderous aswell.
  3. I was referring to my own statement on how much KotOR sold, not FF X-2 <_<
  4. Try 1.2 million copies that FF X-2 sold in TWO days in Japan. As i said, pretty impressive, but not astounding.
  5. I have a slight feeling that once you meet up with Revan or get hold on what happened to him/her, you'll found out Bastilas fate too (presumely dead IMHO).
  6. Both those games are ancient, TIE Fighter is not even reviewed on GameFAQs (the collectors edition however is). Ask any Star Wars player that played then and you see people will say TIE was the best, it sould be since after it we pretty much only get X-Wing vs TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance with the other "flight sims" being more arcade that anything else. Dark Forces was good but I perhaps jump the gun, Dark Forces II (also known as THE Jedi Knight) was better recived but seeing how Jedi Knight had multiplayer, of course it was better that Outcast in terms of duals but there was stuff on the original I liked best, such as the sewer monster that are absent on the later games. They are ancient of the dawn of the CD (original TIE Fighter and it add on was in 3.4 disks) and so its not like you can find reviews or numbers online, they predate the "online". I do remember TIE-fighter and X-wing from the MS-DOS days. However, it was fun for its time, but it lacked the immersion that KotOR had, you felt more like a side-kick than the prime-focus of the galaxy, but that's just me. Bah, what am i to compare a game from 1994 and one from 2003? This is just like comparing the first Zelda to the "Windmaker"-version.
  7. That's my impression too, thinking that KotOR II will have next to none romances is taking a bit too far. I do hope that the romances will be more subtle in this game, i like the way Drakron portraited how romances went in Planescape: Torment, nothing's really clear until the end.
  8. Here's the link to the gamerankings webpage, and there it states that KotOR is ranked 23rd in terms of review-score ratio (94.2%), not in sales.
  9. Who do you speak for? Can i have some numbers please, or links? When someone comes with ballsy comments like that, it should be mandatory to provide proof aswell.
  10. 270 000 copies sold on the xbox within two weeks? Sounds like great numbers IMHO, but still far off compared to Diablo or the Sims.
  11. If it hasn't been posted already, go and read the E3-impression at kotorfanfic, very interesting read indeed.
  12. Everywhere i read about KotOR, there's always some praise about how a commercial success it was, but i have yet to see any numbers on the amounts of copies sold to this date. Anyone who knows this, care to post a link?
  13. It's understandable that someone who has been into star wars games for a long time would like something diffirent for a while, but i think that you belong to a "not so silent" minority. I think that Lucasarts is under the impression that it wouldn't be a good investment, financially speaking. In case of KotOR vs. KotOR II, i think that we're going to have the same experience as we did with Doom & Doom II. Nothing really new, but a good sequel nevertheless.
  14. Is it just me, but that sounds like Dagobah
  15. I hope that Obsidian isn't that moronic and put that as a main plot-twist.
  16. My own HK-47 would be nice
  17. It would be really nice if Yuthura would be included, but i hardly think that the devs will include her due to he 'mortality' in KotOR 1. I think that several of the casts from KotOR 1 will re-appear as cameos, but only HK-47 and T3 will be the playable ones. The rest will be filled with new ones.
  18. I'm currently playing KotOR yet another time, but this time on my xbox for a change and i could help noticing the sheer good quality of the trailer that's played each time you start KotOR, it really gets you in the mood of playing a great game set in the Star Wars-universe. My question is then, will the devs do a trailer with the same quality and release just before KotOR II hits the shelves? Or will they choose to just let the name 'KotOR II' be the primary hype? Opinions?
  19. I think this place will most likely die down until december (highly speculation!) when the 'exclusive' previews and the official trailer arrives.
  20. Even though there are several places in that article that i don't like (like the ignorancy of the Jedi Council), but a nice try anyhow.
  21. If were a Sith Lord, i would redeem myself by quickly switching sides. Ending up like Ajunta Pall isn't my thing thankyouverymuch.
  22. Until Anakin puts his notorious suit on, he will still be 'little annie' IMHO.
  23. it was pretty much determined publically that soule wouldnt be coming back for this. As well, it was said by one of the devs on these forums, I believe, that obsidian had no control over that aspect of developing - LA is responsible for this switch. I wouldn't assume that this new guy is worse than soule, either, but he hasn't had a chance toprove himself. Not everyone thinks soule is all that, either. This new guy probably has his chance of a lifetime to prove himself to a bigger audience, so he's probably under some stress right now. Who knows, maybe we got a new 'great' composer here. But i can't still get rid of the mental image of a Lucasarts CEO saying "Hey, that Jeremy Soule guy can do some nice music, but he's too expensive and we need to get this project as cost-effective as possible. Take that new guy instead, he's cheap and we're talking STAR WARS here, anyone can make a decent soundtrack out that!"
  24. And you did a wonderful job with the first KotOR, if it's really the Jeremy Soule that posted the above. Let's just hope that this whateverhisnameis continues Jeremys work with the same focus as Jeremy did with John Williams' original soundtrack.
