Star Wars!! Why else would I be here ;-)
  1. I was a little dissapointed with the opening scroll text. Now it makes sense why they never leaked it before the game came out. It would have hurt the game's buzz. This has always been the set-up for each movie. When the reviews talk about why KOTOR 2 dosen't have the epic feel of KOTOR 1 the reson for this starts out with the opening text. Re-read the first one then read the second one and see what i mean. They could have referenced some stuff form Kotor 1 like Malak's defeat at the hands of Revan (which happens regardless of light or Dark) before going into the whole lack of jedi/sith running rampant thing. Out of the whole ST mythos (or whateva you want o call it) the opening text is the part that represents the old movie serials the most so the text should have a grandure to them that it just dosen't in KOTOR 2. Plus is it just me or does the amount of text not fully cover the music like it supposed to. again check the first one then then second and tell me what u think... Devs your input would also be appreciated...
  2. It may be, but this guy claim IMDB had said info up, when it doesn't. It's still just speculation <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry my SPECULATION comes form the Kotor2 manual and i looked up the name on IMDB which is why i know John Cygan is both Mandalore & Candorus. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Also Master Vrook (Ed Asner) is in the game as well <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. This should be moved to the spoiler forum 2. Did it list mandalore as cygan or did it just credit cygan in general. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1.) i guess it's already been moved 2) It did list Manalore as Cygan
  3. Think of it this way Sorall this time any addition that the PC get will be exculsive since KOTOR2 has NO DLC for x-box

  6. KOTOR 1 actually had more FMV's then were in the movie (ie. the Ebon Hawk leaving Taris etc.) but 64 is still very impressive but remember you take alot more shuttles and things in this game and those are two FMV's a peice
  7. I just checked IMDB.com and it says the voice actor for you Mandalore character in this game is the same one who played Candorus in KOTOR 1 looks liek you may have him back on the team eh...oh yeah and Kelly Hu (Lady Deathstrike in the movie x-men 2) is playing Visas Marr
  8. Hey guys If you are in the area of Toronto, Canada, EB game in the Eaton Center has started selling KOTOR 2. I saw like 50 copies on the shelves & those will be gone soon. I don't know how many more they have after that so get'em while you can! It was cool watching all the posts guys Hope you all enjoy the game... KS
  9. With all of the ramifications that come form chossing a path is it stilll possible to go from one side of the force to the other within the span of the game?
  10. I agree Tyrell I had mentioned this before. Bioware did a lot more to promote their games with the fans. The multipule trailers & game footage with multiple character wallpapers. They got advertising here in Canada by having commercials on TV and in the movie theatre. These all helped genreate buzz for the game and I just hate not seeing this game get it due promotion-wize. I know over-promotion can create high expectations & I know that giving people too much too soon kill interest for a product but I still feel that TSL is being under-promoted & for such a high profile game that is really too bad.
  11. I find it weird why they discuss the sith war but never tell how it ended. They end the peice by saying "...the Jedi were in disary." and that's not how the Sith War ended. I assume they will make a chronicle about Ulic's redemtion but the stuff about him being sealed off from the Force should be a part of the Sith War Chronicle...
  12. Hell no! I love KOTOR & I don't even have that much love for FPSs but Halo 2 destroys all compitition. FPSs do have more of a following because of there online capability's and their long history with PC gamers. Then there's Halo 2's marketing. I mean they built 4 years of hype on a sequel to a game of the year. KOTOR only had one. The pumped out commecials & movie trailers to promote the game they even had a countdown in Time Square. Game of The Year 2004 Halo2 RPG of the Year: KOTOR 2 (Thank god all the major RPG competition Jade Empire & Advent Rising won't bne released till 2005) Underrated game of the year: Tie between spiderman 2 & x-men legends
  13. Alright I have to say it. KOTOR1 WAS MARKETED TWICE AS MUCH AS THIS GAME IS WHAT IS GOING ON! For a sequel to a 2003 game of the year I thought there would be more pump put into this game all i have seen so far is some ads in comics & mags. By this time KOTOR one had a commercial out on TV and in Movie theaters. They had three offical trailers (not to mention the featture & game footage movies on game websites) The offical site had music and tons of wallpaper to download I mean if the game was complete enough to get it's release date pushed up for the x-box verson they should able to put some push into it. I belive this "little" things add to the sucsses of a game. Like a movie these things generate buzz and that is important. I know a lot of people liked KOTOR a lot more then the SW pequels and not matter what anyone says i belive lucasarts pushed to get game out early so as not to crowd/upsatge the Episode 3 game & movie and it's marketing but at the same time their (haste/greed) may hurt the potential of sucsess for the sequel to best Starwars game ever created. I know obsidian can make a great game out of Sith Lords. I just wish it was marketed in the way that the first one was. What do think guys?
