  1. Shallow is the word you are looking. People that play RPGs know how to play RPGs, trying to make people that play FPS to start playing RPGs is not done by dumb down RPGs so it look and plays like a FPS. I dont expect driving games to play like GTA:VC, if GT becames like GTA in terms of car handling it will be a loss to GT fans. I think that System Shock II and Deus Ex succeeded in that part without sacrificing too much of the elements from either side (RPG vs FPS).
  2. Hmm, maybe that explains why there's places tainted (or filled) with the dark side there.
  3. KotOR I was a seller, but Sith Lords doesn't have the same hype as Doom III or Half-Life 2 has. Let's just say that it would be in Ati's or nVidia's top priority to bundle it with their latest gfx-card.
  4. I'm under the impression that the devs have said that Revan will play a vital role in KotOR II, thus Bastila will aswell. Please correct me if i'm wrong about this (with links or quotes ). Forgot to add that part. Sorry.
  5. This is what Obsidian has to consider: - LS male Revan with redeeming Bastila --> Bastila alive at the end. - DS male/female Revan --> Bastila alive at the end. - Neutral male/female and not redeeming Bastila --> Bastila dead at the end. One could argue that Bastila is too unimportant to be in KotOR II, but the other will say that her Battle meditation + the bond with Revan made her very important. But yet again, how would you implement Bastila in KotOR II without giving her a role that would overshadow the story? I can imagine one of the devs repeating "The Horror, the horror, the horror" to himself when trying solve this as smooth as possible without sacrificing the focus of Sith Lords. If i where a dev, i would ditch those qualms easily by having Sith Lords take place, let's say 200 years, after the events of KotOR. Revan would get the same role as Exar Kun did in KotOR and it would give Obsidian enough creative freedom to create a story of their own.
  6. For once, i actually agree with you there. It would certainly give more character-customization and depth.
  7. That wouldn't preclude having one planet with 27 Sith Lords. Okay, I agree the phrasing implies the number of Sith Lords is between 3 and 6. 3 or maybe 4 would be more suitable. 6 is too much IMO.
  8. Well little is known of all of them, but hasn't it been stated that it will be 40 new force powers all together in KotOR II?
  9. Hopefully, there will be characters, that you wouldn't expect, joinable to your party. I want Obsidian to suprise me. A Jedi ghost maybe?
  10. After trying to ignore Hades_One's raving about blasters and various of opinions about fanfics, i would want to wield a doublebladed purple lightsaber, with a hilt that i customized myself.
  11. Or maybe it it would change after the decissions you make through the game? If you're turning LS, then there would be one of the Sith Lords standing there, and if DS, it would be a Jedi Master there (i.e. Master Vandar). Also, why not have Revan there in his DS robe and mask?
  12. I wouldn't mind that as an idea, it would add a big plus to the replayability of the game.
  13. Yes, seeing Yuthura doing a come-back in KotOR II would be a nice 'reward' for all those who finished KotOR being uber-jedis Back to topic, Hoth would be a nice flavour to add to the game and why not Yavin too, visiting Exar Kun's ghost for a chat or two would be nice.
  14. A bountyhunter that's reluctant to killing, sounds like a character that can turn out to be interesting. Also, she looks like she in her 40's in that screenshot.
  15. What do you mean? Should've he stepped aside? Basically, Terry was blocking the goalkeeper on purpose while some other english player was aiming for the goal. Suffice to say, that's foul play. Regardless thats in the past. Portugal has been trough equally wrenching, game-crippling situations, and we got over it. It doesn't even matter who won; i found myself loving the game even when Portugal was losing, because of the effort both teams were putting into it. If anything, it looked more like Terry was pushing Cambell aside than impeding the goalie from saving. But what's done is done, i guess that i've been watching too much premiere league, where the refs tend to be more soft on these issues
  16. What do you mean? Should've he stepped aside?
  17. When it comes to penalties, Portugal certainly had some nerves of steel. But why was the english goal in the 89th minute disallowed?
  18. Thanks for 'clarifying' on that perticular issue
  19. Look at the Sith soldier's weapon. Doesn't it look like Ordo's repeating blaster? Considering that Canderous was one of the few that couldn't be killed in KotOR, you might be up to something here
  20. Translation: Drakron is 100% right about what he says and the Xbox sucks. Depends on which of the layers of sucking you're referring to. In terms of game catalog: yes. In terms of technology, nope.
  21. I wouldn't mind the hilts looking like this.
  22. Maybe it will circulate depending on how many Sith Lords that you've met. After beating the first, you will see the second one on the main menu-screen and so on...
  23. "Ataris", "Arren Kae" or whatever her name is, seems to be holding the lightsaber way to 'lightly' to inflict any serious damage on the Sith Lord IMO. Other than that, i like it.
  24. All three consoles have their flagships in terms of games. - Xbox: Halo - Gamecube: Zelda and Mario series - Playstation 2: Final Fantasy series Eventhough i have an xbox myself, i consider it the weakest i terms of really good games compared to the others (KotOR doesn't count since it's cross-platform).
  25. That is very true. I just see it like this though. GL is a man, like every man he makes mistakes and many mistakes that many can point out. Overall I like the man and respect him. Again, if it wasn't from him then we wouldn't be talking about a TSL. Hell, if it wasn't from the prequels we probably wouldn't be talking about a TSL. The prequels gave SW more life in my mind. Some for the negative and some for the postive, but at the end it obviously worked cause....you are here right now. I'm looking for it as of now but I remember an old KOTOR interview in which the guy said that KOTOR was heavily inspired by the prequels. Yep, after playing the trough KotOR the first time you can easily tell that the whole thing is a tribute to the original trilogy.
