  2. Nightshade (Belladonna) Piggybacking another players post "we should be able to eat berries" I totally agree, we SHOULD be able to eat berries. I'd like to also suggest adding Nightshade "berries" if you eat them, you die or get so ill you lose 1 in game day? But we can use the deadly berries to craft smoothies, armor (Nightshade Rogue) weapons, base decor etc. The possibilities with poisonous berries are endless. Oooh, a combo armor set with scorpions and poisonous berries, hear me out, Northern Nightshade .

  8. So I searched through 1990’s references to Axl and found Home Alone wiki that says Buzz McAllister’s tarantula (unnamed in movie) is named Axl in the novelization.

  13. Is it possible to introduce a way to mark/favourite items so they are not hot deposited into storage when using this facility, such a bandages/arrows. Hot deposit is useful for storing resources quickly but then I have to pick up bandages/arrows/tufts again.

  14. There are lots of items. Give us a recipe to make paint for our buildings. The building is a lot of fun in Grounded 1 and 2. But, from a distance, no matter how infrequent, they just blend together and looks pretty drab. We have berries, cookies, mud, etc to make colored paint. And you can make the painted model have brush stokes where you can still see some of the original item trough it. But what a joy it would be to be able to paint the floor blue. Or use a cookie to make our grass walls have a black coat of paint.

  15. Borderlands 4 "min. requirements" include Intel Core i7-9700 / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 16gb ram and RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, with 100GB SSD space. Recommended = 3080 gpu. And ofc probably that's for 1080/60fps. And UE5 engine. And Denuvo this time. Especially annoying (to me/some others) in this case because BL's graphic style did not need uber upgrading re: graphics/lighting/shadows. It was never going for realism etc. Don't know if they're offering RT but BL definitely doesn't need that either. No one played BL series for the uber graphics. I'm sure I can still play it at 4k/DLSS/medium or something, like I usually manage to do, but hubby's out of luck till he upgrades (if he does). A ridiculous $130 "super deluxe" pre-purchase version for what amounts to the "seasons pass" of yore. So they've doubled the price basically for the season-pass dlc/extra chr. classes/other post-release content ($60 vs $30). I wonder if post-release, the separated pack pricing will still = $60ish or it'll end up being more. Or maybe they'll price it into 20 different dlc. each new area/mission dlc, $20x4, extra chr class, $20x2, etc. Wouldn't surprise me. Yeah, sale-price for sure.

  16. Today I visited this forum and posted a bunch of YT links, since I od'd on k-dramas for the moment and went back to random YT. Hubby got his round of back injections - the ink they used to make target dots on his back is quite persistent, hehe - but it didn't do anything for him. Now he's waiting for the appointment call re: the 2nd round/attempt. He's pretty discouraged/depressed re: life right now, etc. I've offered to sledgehammer hubby's foot or something, so then the back pain wouldn't be on his mind anymore, but he didn't seem to go for that idea

  17. Oct. 3rd. Looks to be largely set in modern times, vs. period drama, if you're wondering. Ancient genie with Suzy as his new "three wish" owner. It's been 10 years since Uncontrollably Fond ripped my heart out. Not sure I'm a fan of the genie (I think he's more like a devil - Iblis) concept but I hope it'll be good. Also, I still haven't watched all of Fallout1 series. >.> That Vegas-y trailer for 2nd season looks promising tho!

  20. Since the quick access menu for the mutation load outs on the D-Pad on Xbox controller has been replaced with the buggy summon menu, can we at least have the option to access the mutation load out menu with a different button? This is something I used all the time and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

  25. Cut the # of buggies in half, put it on the left side of the wheel. Bring back the mutations on the right side in the exact spots they are in Grounded for uniformity across both games. We can only ever be on 1 buggy at a time. There's currently only 2 variants. There is no need for us to have 8 summon slots for a mount and 0 for mutations.

  27. Well for one I'm not a dune fan so I think some of it is lost on me. However I did have fun with it at first so I don't think thats the main reason. I think it just has the same problems every survival building type game has, which is seemingly endless incremental upgrades, repetitive exploration and no real end goal aside from getting those little upgrades. I could see having more fun if I had gaming friends I could play with. I did have some fun with it, and it's probably something I will return to. It just felt like it was going nowhere.

  30. While I am used to the radial menu as I’m a controller user, I fully support getting a building menu similar to Grounded 1. It was just far more convenient to see what your current options were in that menu type.

  31. Hi, i am currently building a base with acorn stairs and this + the other basic base features require a lot of Acorn materials. However since the last patch guaranteed an acorn top for each acorn i am currently owning like 100 acorn tops and 2 acorn shells. To me it screams like a wrong balance of resource requirement vs ressource drops. To fix this, i think i have a neat idea which could be incredibly handy while completely fitting the game's flow. How about: New grinder recipe = grind an acorn top into a few acorn shells Let me know if that seems feasable

  32. I'm not sure if any of these have already been discusses or not but two things that I really wanted back from Grounded 1 are the following: 1) In Grounded 1 we had 3 sets of HotKeys we can put items into and scroll between each set. So we could have a total of 24 bound items. I struggled a bit in Grounded 2 because there are so many items that I would like to use or weapons to switch in and out of mid battle and its a but cumbersome to go into the inventory mid battle. 2) Max mutations we could equip back in grounded 1 was 5 and its 4 here. Not sure if this is intentional for the time being and this will eventually be brought back up to 5 when more mutations are added but even now I always feel like i'm lacking one crucial mutation for my build or in any given situation while playing. Felt like 5 max active mutations was the ideal number. 3) Finally there is a bug where when loading back into a save, our equipped active mutations are back to 2 and we need to re-equip back the mutations. This is fine but at times when there are constant crashes , this becomes annoying.

  34. I’ve been playing grounded 2 since early access and apart from going up the statue of burgle and the podium feels too empty and flat along with finding the outposts. Apart from the suitcase, it feels too bland because of the lack of puzzles unlike in the first game, I feel like the point of buggies to get from point A to point B as fast as possible and race through grass but there’s nothing to stop for and at that point the world feels empty from the lack of puzzles and it being large and it feels like that everything is stuck to the outside and there’s nothing in the middle of the map.

  36. Hi Obsidian! Grounded 2 is already incredibly rich, but I dream of a future update that goes even further: a true seasonal cycle with extreme weather events You’ve already added great features like the meat dryer, water reservoirs, cold-resistant armor for butterfly zones, and turrets/traps — awesome work! But imagine dynamic weather: Deadly rain (giant drops could be fatal) Storms disrupting base structures Night frost, heatwaves, strong winds Migrating insects and seasonal bosses (Solar Scorpion, Frost Spider…) Mounts like Mimi that can detect weather changes It would be a natural evolution of the gameplay, adding even more strategy and immersion. Thanks for this gem of a game — can’t wait to see what you have in store!

  37. Good Afternoon, 1.) Will Pine Floors be added in the future? I am really loving the design of the new building structures, but I am hoping that the floor style will be flat. Could someone confirm that they will or not? 2.) Will we be able to get Wall Charcoal Sconce and Charcoal Stand Lamp? 3.) Could we get bone armors and weapons in the future? *Heavy or Light bone armor and a Bone Shield? *Bone Spear, Bone Sword, Bone Daggers, Bone Mace, Bone Bow and Arrows? Thank you for your time!

  38. Grounded 2 Review & Feedback I highly recommend Grounded 2 and fully support its continued development. The roadmap is exciting, and I look forward to the final product. This sequel has the potential to surpass the huge success of Grounded 1. My review focuses on issues I encountered, along with potential solutions for future updates. Mounts Mounts feel great and complement the original insect playstyles—e.g., ants acting as supportive, weight-carrying colony workers. This makes each mount feel valuable and unique while serving general travel and combat purposes. Concerns & Solutions: The current stat display (Crafting/Building/Battle/Agility) is unclear. Suggested change: Utility/Battle/Travel, which better reflects a mount’s uses. Allow mount inventory to integrate with building—materials in a mount’s chest should be recognized just like player inventory or chests allowing materials in mounts inventory to contribute towards creating items in the workbench or creating build blueprints Shields Currently, blocking with a light shield feels too similar to blocking with a weapon. Shields should block all damage regardless of light or heavy and blocking a hit that is too big would drain your stamina completely and cause the player to “stagger” creating a window of time requiring the player to recover after some time leaving them vulnerable to attack. If an attack is too big it burns through stamina it will damage the durability of the shield proportional to the non blocked damage of the attack. Proposed Rework: Light shields drain more stamina when blocking but recover from stagger faster. Heavy shields drain less stamina, absorb bigger hits, and are better for sustained blocking. Perfect blocks should grant a temporary block stamina boost if the player holds block afterward. Poor blocking damages shield durability, rewarding skillful play. This separation makes light shields about precision and timing, and heavy shields about endurance. Gear Roles Gear feels roughly split into Warrior, Ranger, Mage, Rogue archetypes, which works—but melee gear currently lacks distinction between DPS and tank. Suggestion: Revive Grounded 1’s upgrade paths (Bulky for tank, Sleek for DPS or utility). Alternatively, make some armor sets inherently tank (e.g., Ladybug) and others DPS (e.g., Black Ox), with hybrid sets like Roach representing balanced survivability. Blueprint Sharing Add a way to upload/download or copy building blueprints via the SCA.B or other tools. Benefits: Encourages community sharing of builds. Simplifies relocation by showing exact resource needs. Allows players to preview a structure in different environments. Could be an unlockable shop upgrade to reward dedicated builders and progression. Mutations Mutations in Grounded 1 rewarded playstyles (e.g., Grass Master for grass cutting). This system should remain all-encompassing to replace traditional RPG leveling. Suggestions: Bring back mutations for non-combat activities like gathering and breaking rocks. (some already exist might already be a WIP) Add in-game guidance for finding mutations without spoiling the mystery—e.g., in the mutations loadout screen, color-coded backdrops on “?” icons hinting at unlock methods: Green backdrop for gathering mutations (Grass Master, Rock Cracker). Skull icon for boss fight mutations. Helps players who want discovery without relying on online guides. Navigation A minimap or compass would make on-the-go navigation easier, reducing the need to constantly open the map mid-combat. Omnitool While versatile, the Omnitool removes the feel and satisfaction of dedicated tools—especially axes. Concerns: Reduces combat tool variety. Gathering feels less impactful with hold-to-gather instead of per-hit feedback. Solution: Make the Omnitool a mid- or late-game unlock tied to story progression. High-level tools should still outperform it in gathering speed, making the Omnitool a convenience, not a default. Multiplayer Scale Grounded 1 excelled as a 4-player co-op game, but survival games often thrive with larger player counts (ARK 70, Conan 70, Rust 50+, Smalland 10). Recommendation: Expand beyond 4-player caps, at least in custom maps and PvP modes. Target 8–16 players to support multiple 4-player groups competing, especially in Playground mode where PvP is already implemented. Final Thoughts: Grounded 2 is already shaping up to be a worthy successor. With refinement in mounts, shields, gear roles, building systems, mutation guidance, navigation tools, the Omnitool, and multiplayer scalability, it could become an all-time great in the survival genre.

  39. This is minor but not being able to toggle off aim assist is troublesome. I’ve found it’s hard on some bugs to get aim at weak points because I have to fight the snap to center, or I hit the wrong bug because my cross hair switched to another. I thought it was controller only but I noticed even keyboard and mouse had it which I feel like it probably should be off by default.

  40. I notices when building bases its very annoying to upgrade the material you are using as you have to recycle and tear down your old walls/foundations to build new stronger ones in their place, shouldn't there be an option to just upgrade them to a better material?

  41. Currently it seems like the buggy dismount trigger when entering a Lab is when you're close enough for the Lab door to open, which is super annoying when fighting near a lab door, or even walking. I build my first base around the first lab door, and when I walk on a base floor above the door, it causes me to dismount my buggy and sometimes makes the buggy disappear back to the nest. The Dismount trigger should be moved to actual door threshold instead of in the vicinity of the door or when close enough for the door to automatically open.

  42. Thank you, Obsidian and Grounded 1/2 Team!!! Just want to start off by saying I love grounded 1 and a longtime fan and love grounded 2's direction. You guys are killing it so far and would love to get the chance to talk to the developers. I mean it when I say I don't know what other developers are doing these days, but you all are killing it in a good way. Thank you for the wonderful experience and fun times your company has given me and my friends / family. I want to jump right in and offer some solutions to some of what I consider easy to fix issues currently in Grounded 2. Gear Buff Adjustments: need to change fighter's gear buff to increase damage with 2 handed weapons by 10-20% and/ or stagger bonus and/or attack speed Add a new gear buff to equipment for tanks called tank and give it the same buff fighter has right now Javelineer Mutation changes: The Javelineer mutation is a bit wonky, I would change it to increase damage of thrown and normal spear damage by 10/20/30% and you get a buff from hitting an enemy 3 times that says, "when a spear is thrown it will return to the players hand" this could be the Rank 3 mastery buff. - because the current buff giving you recoil damage makes no sense you are encouraging the player to get hit in order to deal damage back to the attacker if you wanted to fix it make it damage on block so that way the player can emulate more of a spartan build using the shield and spear which is probably what was intended in the first place. Dagger Definition Fix: for daggers and fist weapons dash attack needs to be on a dash and then attack or change the name to charged attack as that is what you're doing currently. Ex) On black widow set it says dash attack applies venom Omni tool Fix: the omni tool should probably be a late unlocked item like 70% through the game and this would fix it entirely. if you unlocked this after beating a boss (like the Broodmother in Grounded 1 or any boss) then it would feel amazing to create it and give the player a huge convenience tool that was earned instead of just giving it as a free hand out. currently it doesn't feel good to gather anymore gets rid of the player feedback on emulating cutting down grass, smashing a hammer now your just hold e and this kills immersion. Upgrading the Omni tool feels tedious to gather all the necessary parts right off the bat and it's a lot for players to take in when the first introduction to gathering is just use this op tool and go gather with it. I think a better solution is to lock it behind story line as this would make it feel more rewarding and have a better sense of progression. like when you play a Zelda game and unlock the slingshot or boomerang etc. after beating a storyline boss. Toggle buttons for Sprinting / Crouch: Toggle button for sprinting and crouching since the new weapon daggers and the ambush mutation rely on the new sneaking mechanic. When traveling with the mounts toggling the sprint feels a lot better than holding it down as they are used for long distance travel.

I do understand that the game is in game preview and ive played through every single update in the magnificent Grounded 1, but ive noticed that theres no quarter corner pieces for roofing, that has lead my buildings to look odd, please try to add a quarter corner roof peice it would be amazing.

  44. How about going back over a few suggestions for construction? Personally, I'm a big fan of this one in grounded! We could start with locations or build. It would be nice to be able to build everywhere again, as we did in 1, using stumps and other elements of the scenery. Also, and I think this is the most interesting, why not build in the typical biome like frozen biome? - Imagine making a more risky chalet-like base with heaters and crackling paths to keep up with the spawn. Why not make the buildings have an insulation rating? To build in the hot biome too? - What if furniture, walls and other buildings could then be constructed using materials from these biomes? Burnt grass or frosted grass, which would produce different patterns? Dedicated buildings? Frosted chandelier or glowing fireplace? A machine for cooling and a charcoal chandelier for warming? Then, perhaps improved resource harvesting and transportation in large quantities! Firstly, buggies could follow us into icy biomes with the help of evercharde charcoal pouches that would allow them to accumulate a sufficient heat threshold to follow us! It would be nice if we could later have other buggies like the ant, but which allow us to harvest higher-level resources. Or allow the ant to harvest resources at the level of our omnitool? Why not add bags to them, for example? Or, to finish off equipment for buggys ? , make it possible for the ant to equip saddlebags to carry more resources, or attach a sled to it to support more rods. What do you think? Next, an idea for a building that's close to my heart. I'm putting it at the end, because I know it's far too specific to be interesting. I know this one will probably never be read, but I'd love a structure into which we could drop our buggies and watch them move. That would allow for buildings like ranches - it would be incredible! No ?

  45. Security gurantees need willinges to send troops otherwise they aren't security gurantees. Selling weapons does not work as security gurantee, it is just way to make amrs trade look better. Logistical support for European jets could make security gurantees by some European countries easier, but mostly that is empty talk as USA does not have logistical capacity in the area where those jets needs to operate and USA does not have plans to have logistical capacity there. So USA will not provide any security gurantees for Ukraine in Trumps current pland.
